Neil to come back on Jeevansaathi
Gaurav Khanna, who was seen portraying the character of Neil on Jeevansaathi (Colors) two months ago, will soon be getting back to the show. However, details of how and when he will make his reentrance still remain undecided.
"YES, I am coming back," confirms Gaurav, "but I can't reveal details as of now. One thing I can say for sure is that I will come back in the same form. It will be very nice and authentic, that is for sure."
A character reemerging after their onscreen death has become a trend on television to help dipping ratings. To this, Khanna immediately reacts saying, "I don't think it is because the TRPs are down. That is not why they've called me. The show has been doing well after my exit. I don't think deaths and comebacks affect the ratings. Any kind of twist works to boost the show and this is one of them."
Gaurav didn't shoot for the show for two month but it was never far from his mind. He says, "I did miss the show but not that much because my track on my other show Santaan was increased. Though I definitely missed Neil as a character."
Because of his busy schedule, the actor was unable to watch Jeevansathi during his absence from it but he did manage to kept a track on the storyline. He says, "As I told you, I was very busy shooting for Santaan so really couldn't follow it but when ever possible, I did watch late night repeats."
It has been five days now since the actor winded up with his shoot for Santaan but he still has a lot to say about the show. "I've been with it for 1 year, hence it is very close to my heart. We shot for the last episode on March 13 and the day was very nostalgic for all of us. I will miss the location of the set the most because it was in Andheri and I could go and finish all my personal work between shots. I'll miss those bloopers in Santaan terribly too," says Gaurav.
The actor remains in touch with most of the cast members from Santaan. He says, "I am in touch with almost all of them. We meet every alternate day. Same goes for the Kumkum stars."
Gaurav will start shooting for Jeevansaathi very soon and is estimated to reenter by the last week of this month.
Jeevansaathi airs from Monday to Thursday at 9pm on Colors.
