WALIA HOUSE
Billo papaji is upset with bebe and Amrit as they had gone out and had taken ages to come back home. Amrit tells him that they had gone to get a taavees for Jassi from babaji, so that she becomes her chirpy old self again. Billo says that don't worry, yey jo CEO ka chakkar hai, she will forget it in 2 days. Just then Jassi walks in and says – "nahin papaji, I will not forget… that all the votes were in favour of me." The Walia parivaar are ecstatic.
ARMAAN'S HOUSE
Puru is looking at a photo album. He shows Armaan the picture of the first GM building. Armaan remarks that Puru was looking as young as him in those pictures. Puru tells Armaan that he did not vote for Jassi because he was afraid for his son. He thinks that Jassi might prove to be a better CEO than him. She's good, she's very good, he says. And if she does make GM a profitable company within 6 months, how will Armaan remove her from the position of CEO?
Armaan thinks that if Jassi is indeed that capable, then she will remain a CEO forever. And in his characteristic style he bangs his fist on the parapet and says, "Damn!!! DAMN!!!" (ab pachtave hoat kya, jab chidiya chug gai khet!!!).
WALIA HOUSE
Jassi's mom puts tilak on her forehead, bebe uski nazaar utarkar paise deti hai and papaji gives her a pen. Nandu comes with a box of sweets and she laughs as she stuffs a whole laddoo in his mouth. Then as she steps out of her car in front of GM, Purab gives her a red flower, the gatekeeper of GM salutes her as she walks in thorugh the door. The GM gang is waiting for her with each one wearing Jassi glasses 😳and they roll out a red carpet strewn with flowers for her. All this while, the new Jassi jaisi tune is playing in the background.
ARMAAAN'S CABIN
Armaan is again in his strawberry ice-cream suit 😳(AL aka autumnleaf, where are you?). He is squeezing the life out of his stress ball. He remembers Jassi falling on the catwalk and everybody laughing at her. Then he remembers her famous words –"AAP SE BEHTAR CHALA SAKTI HOON MEIN GULMOHUR KO!!!" (Oh, I just love this dialogue and the confidence with which she says it!!!). "To bana deejeeye mujhe CEO aur dekh lijeye Armaan Sir, varna mein iss company se resign karne ke liye taayar hoon!!!" Then he remembers his dad's words that Jassi may indeed prove to be a better CEO, then how will he remove her from that position after 6 months? (kya Armaan Sir, Chasmish chuhiya se darr gaye? Arre, bas uski aankhon mein aakhein dalke ILU kehne ka, kya???? Nahin to Hansa tapori ko yaad karne ka!!!)😆
JASSI'S CABIN
BEST SCENE OF THE EPISODE
Jassi is busy packing her stuff. She gets senti leaving her cabin (awwww, I'm also getting senti now!!!). Jassi is looking at the pen gifted to her by Purab and says – mein apne andar ki Jassi ko kabhi nahin bhoolungi.
Armaan – shabash Jassi.
Jassi – Armaan Sir, aap.
Armaan – sukhar hai tumne Sir to kaha.
Jassi – yey aap kya keh rahe hein?
Armaan – kuch nahin Jassi, mujhe darr tha ki tum kahin CEO banke badal gai ho. Shayad issiliye uss peon ne mujhse kaha ki Jassi madam ne aapkp bulaya hai. (Omg, this scene is so loaded with the underplay of emotions that Hansa is totally overwhelmed😳. No wonder half our country's females were in love with Armaan Sir when these episodes were first aired – how well our Apu has acted in these scenes – totally mind-blowing!!!👏).
Jassi – ussne aapse aise kaha?
Armaan – kyun, tumne mujhe nahin bulaya tha?
Jassi – maine actually peon se kaha tha ki jaise hi aap aa jayen, to mujhe bata de.
Armaan – anyways Jassi, I am glad that you have not changed at all….not at all!!!
At this point Armaan is playing with Purab's pen and Jassi asks for it. ("!$%^%&^*why is so possessive of his gift?????"$%&^*)🤢
Then Armaan asks Jassi if he could leave. Jassi aks him whether he had asked Rajpal to get the silk fabric from Mumbai. Armaan says that indeed he had. Jassi says that she has told him not to. Armaan looks at her in disbelief when he hears this. She tells him that there was no point in buying from Mumbai. She had told Rajpal to buy the silk from Mysore as that would be cheaper. All this while, Armaan is looking straight ahead, his lips pursed, his chin thrust out and his Adam's apple moving with suppressed emotions (Maar daala…Allah…Armaan Sir ne maar dala!!!)😳 Jassi keeps blabbering while Armaan again remembers his dad's words that how will you remove Jassi from this position after 6 months if she proves to be a capable CEO?
Armaan then says to Jassi that if you think any of my decisions are wrong, you can reject them without even asking me. After all, you are the new CEO of GM!!!
After Jassi leaves, Armaan thinks that until this day, no one had the guts to go against his decisions. And Jassi did precisely that today. "But I will not put up with this for long Jassi," he says to himself. "Very soon I will show you your place. You have become the CEO Jassi, but I will never let you order me around, NEVER!!!"
JASSI'S NEW CABIN
The gang lead Jassi to her new cabin. The placard on the wall says – Jasmeet Walia CEO. The room is decorated with balloons and flowers and ribbons. Jassi gives a big bracey grin and cuts the ribbon. Raj and Armaan come in and see all the hangama. Armaan just cannot bring himself to smile and walks out as the others make Jassi sit on her new pink chair. Jassi thanks the gang for all the gifts. They still have their Jassi glasses on. They are thrilled that for the first time someone from the gang has got such a high post.
ARMAAN'S CABIN
Mallika calls up Armaan. He speaks quite nicely to her today. Even says hi darling and I love you. Mallika says that sometimes she thinks that he loves her only for her work (ab samajh mein aaya tumko!!!). She tells him that she will be back tomorrow with Sheetal Ambuja. After she hangs up Armaan wonders what will happen when Mallika comes to know that Jassi is CEO (yey Armaan bhi na – why is he so scared of all the women in his life???🤔) He now tells himself that he has to remove Jassi from the position of CEO. He will not let her be successful at any cost. (yey lo kar lo baat!!! 10 crore ke loss ko kya 20 crores banana hai?????😕).
WALIA HOUSE
Billo papaji tells Amrit to give almonds to Jassi every morning. Then he tells her to make something good for dinner, not lauki-shouki. He is tired of eating rabbit food. Jassi comes home and he goes to make tea for her. Nandu comes in singing. Jassi asks him if he had met Pari. Nandu tells her that he was very happy because his best friend had become a CEO and 3T had got their first order. He then tells Jassi that they were going to make a presentation for Sheetal Ambuja's wedding collection.
The episode ends on Jassi's shocked face!!!
COMMENTS
I can totally empathise with Armaan. What he is feeling at the moment is very natural – he took another impulsive decision without thinking about the consequences. While he still has faith in his Jassi's capabilites, his male ego has been battered. Plus a slight twinge of jealousy is rearing its head, not to mention insecurity. But kudos to Apu for portraying the complexity of these emotions so well. I am totally floored by his acting today!!!👏👏😳
