Jassi awakens in the morning with a start. She rubs her eyes and blinks at the sun streaming in through the window. Dazed, she thinks, "Aaj kuch special hai…lekin kya?"
Then she remembers and smiles. It is Valentine's Day😳. She closes her eyes dreamily and puts out her hand to reach Armaan on the bed. But there is no one there. Startled, her eyes fly open. She looks around but can find no one there.
There is the sound of running water in the bathroom. She pouts, "Lagta hai aaj bhi Armaan mujhse pehle hi uth gaye….koi baat nahin! Main doosre bathroom mein ready ho jaati hun."
She rushes to the guest room and returns in a short while, dressed in a black sari with red sequins all over it, with a scarlet halter-neck blouse. Her hair is loose around her shoulders and there is an alluring smile on her face. She thinks, "Aane do Armaan ko baahar….dekhti hun aaj mujhe chod ke Gulmohur kaise jaate hai!"😉
The bathroom door opens; Armaan comes out, looking fresh and sexy in a white bathrobe, wet hair falling across his forehead. Jassi averts her gaze to hide her…erm….😉passion😳…..but watches him out of the corner of her eye. He glances indifferently at her, goes to the wardrobe and starts getting dressed.
When he is ready, he absently mutters, "Bye", barely glancing at her outfit, picks up his briefcase and is about to leave, when Jassi, unable to stand it any longer, calls out, "Armaan!"
Armu: Huh?
Jassi: Tum kuch….bhool nahin rahe ho?
Armu: Oh yes….thanks for reminding me!
Jassi blushes as he rushes towards her, but he walks past to the dressing table and picks up his watch, which he was about to leave behind. Hardly glancing in her direction, he speeds off, leaving Jassi simmering in indignation. "Armaan ne mujhse poocha bhi nahin ki main unke saath office chalna chahti hun kya….aur yeh sari…sari toh notice hi nahin ki!"
Tears swimming in her eyes, she tears off the sari and changes into an ordinary yellow salwar-kameez. Moving restlessly around the house, she tries to mark time, getting the kids ready, chatting with Ila and Angel, but always with a preoccupied look on her face.
As evening nears, she starts getting hopeful again. "Ho sakta hai Armaan aaj subah jaldi mein bhool gaye ho ki aaj kya hai….lekin Gulmohur mein toh sabko yaad hoga….ab tak Armaan ko bhi yaad aa hi gaya hoga…..ho sakta hai wo jaldi aa jaye…..mujhe kuch special plan banana chahiye….."
So she goes to the kitchen and starts preparing Armaan's favourite continental dishes. Not only that, she decorates the dining-table with flowers, spreads a white table-cloth and sets candles on it. When everything is ready, she puts on music. A soft instrumental version of Thum ja zindagi starts playing.
Jassi: (blushing) Armaan aane hi wale hoge…mujhe taiyar ho jaana chahiye….
Just then the phone rings. She picks it up eagerly, nearly skipping with delight as she hears Armaan's voice at the other end. "Armaan…tum kab pahunchne wale ho..?"
Armu: (sounding a bit lost) Umm….Jassi, mujhe thodi der ho jayegi….ek client ek saath bahut zaroori meeting hai….main bahar dinner kar lunga….tum meri wait mat karna….Good night!
She slowly puts the phone down. Her eyes have no tears in them, but the piteous appeal in them tugs at the viewer's heart. Without appearing to know what she is doing, she grabs her car keys and rushes out, forgetting even to inform Ila where she is going.
Once she is inside the car and on the road, the tears start to stream down her face. But she resolutely wipes them away. "Armaan ko aaj ke din mere liye fursat nahin toh na sahi..." she thinks defiantly. "Lekin main aaj enjoy karungi….wo bhi akele…..Armaan ko bhi pata chale, ki main hi hamesha uki wait nahin karungi!"
She parks outside a discotheque and marches in, ignoring the guard who looks askance at her crumpled salwar. Inside, there is an unbelievable crowd, mostly teenagers, who are high on music and dance and some are…well, just high. She tries to find a place to sit down but all the seats are occupied with people drinking away to glory. The dance floor is jam-packed. Looking at the starry-eyed couples dancing in each other's arms, Jassi remembers all the V-Days she had celebrated with Armaan sir in GM, especially that heartrending time when she was about to leave him when he had just realized his feelings for her, and they had exchanged that passionate, hopeless hug in her cabin. 😭
Thinking about all this makes Jassi tearful again. Unable to stand the place any longer, she storms out. It is now nearly secluded outside, very dark, and she shivers a little as she walks towards her car. When she is a few feet away from it, another car screeches to a halt near her. She is about to reprimand the rash driver; when the door opens, and someone pulls her into the car. She screams as she finds herself sprawled across someone's lap, but that someone clamps his hand over her mouth to stop any sound.😲😲😲
She looks up fearfully, trying to make out the face, and just then she hears an all-too familiar voice say cheerfully—
"Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart!!" ❤️
"Armaan! Tum….iss tarah…!!"
The lights go on in the car, and Jassi finds Armaan grinning saucily and seductively at her.😳😳😳
