About "burning his bridges"(or "burning his boats"...both the phrases mean the same),well,I didnt read the article meticulously...I simply skimmed through the article,thus I thought he was speaking about his career in Tinsel town and as to how he burnt his bridges there (which isnt true!!..Which person in their right mind would give up films for television)...Alas,i had misread the article,and he was referring to the turning down of many TV shows post JJKn when he was talking about burning his bridges(boats)...Which makes sense!!
I honestly have no time these days to debate....Sorry,maybe some other time 😃 But let me just elucidate on the difference between Mona's interview and Apu's regarding Mona garnering the flak,and Apu being cut all slack....
Mona contradicted herself about her "experience"...She used to say that she was just like Jassi and even shared certain idiosyncrasies with Jassi,and that she "enjoyed" being Jassi...Then a couple of years later,she went on record to say that "It was a mental torture donning the garb" and that she isnt like Jassi in the remotest way!.. .Apu didnt contradict himself about his "experience"!...He has clearly said that in the beginning,the show did have some potential to shape up well but unfortunately it quite didnt!!(which I dont concur to,because for me,the show was kektaesque from the onset)..I bought his opinion as "his'"(albeit I didnt concur),and today he's sad with the plot and script.....He hasnt contradicted himself or made statements like "Even in the beginning,I didnt like it"...Opinions might change along the couse of time,"Experiences" do not!
About applauding him for his candour,it was for his statement "I wouldnt have done Kaajjal had I not had a kitchen"....Its a revelation when someone is truthful,especially when the bevy of Tv stars citing how their love for acting supercedes the money angle as a reason for their being infront of the camera..Which IMO is plain vanilla jabberwocky
