How many more times will you haunt me in my dreams?
How much more do you want me to weep?
Why does your face always float in front of my eyes?
Why is your smile so beautiful that every time it makes me alive?
Why does your invisible touch linger through my aching soul all the time?
What is the reason behind the sweetness of your voice which makes me hypnotized?
How can you make me surrender so easily to your unseen power?
Why do you always make me feel that you will be mine, forever?
When I know at times, that, all these can never be true,
Why do I then still crave for you?
Wherever you are now and whatever you might be doing,
Would you ever be able to listen to my suffering?
The future is unknown to all,
And I believe nothing is impossible. 😉

At the risk of corrupting the young, not-so-innocent minds here 😉 , let me put forth thsi nursery rhyme, on the lines of "Little Miss Muffet":

Little (?) Miss Jassi
Sat with a lassi
To keep naughty thoughts at bay 😉

When in barged Armu sher
And grabbing her by her hair
Kissed her good intentions away! 😳 😳 😳

Writing inn rhyme is not my cup of tea, so here is something in free verse. Pardon my inaccuracies.



One last embrace
Before we part
Heartbeat to heartbeat
Might confess
What words dare not utter

Tangle your hand in mine
Palm against palm—
As if that would change
The lines drawn on them
By relentless Destiny

Shuddering against me
You shed tears
Your eyes have long hidden.
They flood my heart;
Why should they
When you don't belong to me?
Why take this pain from you
Whose bond with me
Has no name?
Why entwine
Your heartstrings with mine
When next moment
May wrench them apart?

Don't cry for me
I'm nothing to you;
You're nothing to me
But a beautiful dream
Dropped in my sleep,
Something magical
Brushed against me
And swept shyly away

We aren't meant to be
I dare not kindle
Rash hopes;
I give you nothing
Except a memory

Yet, strangely, I feel—
When you walk away
You shan't go alone
But steal my being
From myself

As a fragment
