Sameer Soni: Memory Lane

It's interesting to see so many avatars and posts about Sameer Soni on JJKN forum. True this actor turned model has made quite an impression through his portrayal of Purab Mehra. (Whether his popularity is because of the serial's popularity or his looks or his acting skills etc. etc. is another debate) But Sameer Soni has been around for some time now. Can you recall your favourite Sameer Soni advert or music video moment ?

Havent really seen any of his commercials....as for his films.....no he did not stand out in any of his films either.....but I think he made a great impression in Shazia Manzoor's remix video with the Mukherjee actress....

i myself haven't actually seen any of his clips, ads, or anything


though i did see one of his movies; bhagban


but in that movie, i can't belienve i'm saying this, but he looked so bad in that movie.. i mean he didn't even act properly!!

his current ad on air is that of Suzuki Baleno car. Must say he looks Fantabulous in it!!!

plays a top notch corporate hot shot, dipicting a lot of class and attitude ! 😉

I had seen him in a Vicks Vaporub adv. and a music video (dont remember which one) looooong back. Thats why his face was really familiar to me in China Gate.

How is China Gate? Is it worth watching?

Also, vaguely remember his cadbury ad with rajlaxhmi. As far as music videos are concerned, he was there in jagjit singh's recent music video 'kahin door jab din dhal jaye..........'. this video topped the charts for many weeks.😊

I liked the movie...Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Danny Denzongpa, Amrish Puri and the other army men were excellent. There are some really funny scenes in it.

The villain is a bit of a joke...all he does is say "Kai kai kai" and talk to the vultures.

Samir didn't have an extensive role and was pretty much overshadowed by the other actors which is why his career almost came to a standstill after China Gate.

All in all, the movie is good for time-pass.

He was surrounded by bunch of oldies rather then beautiful gurls like in this forums😉.But the movie was fine.I like him in lajja and Bhagban more.

Samir is quite popular and known in the theatre circuit. Some of his popular plays are:

1)'.... ask what father says !' (a super hit play in which he played the main lead with Nafisa)

2) 'Champagne On the House' (another very successful play)
