Chapter 2:
Aishaa dragged Sid out until they reached the principal's office. They knocked on the door and it opened by itself. There was a woman with a stylish Sari looking at her files.
Maa', Sid called out.
How many times do I have to tell you to not call me Maa in school', she shouted!
Sorry maa, I mean DD ma'm', Sid said knowing how much of an ignorant person she is.
Yes now what'
DD ma'm do you know anything about what happened to one of the student Roshni?'
DD looked up at him worriedly. She was actually Sid's mother's best friend and she loved Sid a lot like a son which is why Sid calls her maa' but Sid doesn't know she's Roshni's mom.
Nahi', DD stuttered to say.
WAIT do you know anything?' She asked being doubted.
Nahi',Aishaa answered for him.
I'm asking you something, answer me damn it', She said in an angry tone.
I told you, I do not know Maa' Um I mean DD ma'm'
Ok' suddenly they heard the bell ring and they went out. Sid wasn't planning to go to class but Aishaa dragged him on saying they might find something out.
They went to class and sat down. Everyone was talking about them, about Sid.
How can she still be friends with him', one of their classmates said.
Sid was angry now not because they were insulting him but they were also insulting Aishaa. He got up and walked out of the class followed by Aishaa. He went to a nearby pole and hit it hard to make his hand bleed.
Aishaa ran over to him and nursed his wounds. Sid then told her to go back to class because of exams. She didn't want to but since Sid insisted she went back.
Sid went home and he went straight to his room. He lay down on the floor and started crying. He didn't know what to do; all he could think of was his Roshni. She was the only cure for Sid. If she was there Sid's world would have enlightened.
Sid took up his phone and started dialling Roshni's number.
Other side:
Roshni's phone lay on the table beside her and it kept on ringing which alerted her. She woke up and she tried to pick up the phone up. She finally managed to pick the phone up but couldn't say anything with the tape on her mouth.
Meanwhile Sid heard moaning on the other side and he was now worried.
Roshni what happened'
Roshni managed to recognise the voice. It was Sid her own Sid. She felt happy but then came back to the reality where she was kidnapped and held in a dark room with nothing but pain.
Sid ended the call and he could sense that Roshni was in trouble. He couldn't just stand there doing nothing. He decided to go out in search of her. Since she left college there was rumours that she left for Paris but Sid knew she didn't because whenever Roshni and Sid talked about where they wanted to go they would always say Paris. So there is no way Roshni would go without Sid. Sid had hope that she was right here in London.
Sid went to his cupboard and a coat fell out. It was a black coat but it had a lipstick mark on it. He held the coat closer and remembered the past.
Flashback:
Sid was dancing with a girl while Roshni was looking at this. Roshni was his best friend back then but they hadn't confessed yet. Sid pulled the girl closer to him making her hit on his chest. Sid looked at Roshni's reaction, who was boiling with anger. She wanted to kill him for this.
Roshni angrily left the place and went to a nearby place that had a garden with beautiful flowers. She sat on the bench there and started crying badly.
There Sid left the girl and went to find Roshni. He found her crying with her hands on her face. He went over and sat beside her. He cupped her face and asked what was wrong'
Roshni replied Kuch nahi and why do you care anyway'
What? What are you saying?'
He looked at her and was shocked. Why was she so upset', he wondered.
Roshni look at me damn it! Why are you so upset? I have been watching since a long time now. Even that day when I was holding Nandini's hand you looked upset and now I am dancing with Neha and you are feeling bad. Why!? ANSWER ME ROSHNI?'
Because I LOVE YOU', Roshni shouted to him.
Sid stood there stunned. He tried to smile but he couldn't help being shocked. He looked at Roshni who was still crying her heart out. Sid always secretly loved her but could never confess in the fear that it would ruin their friendship.
Roshni looked at his face and misunderstood. She didn't see a smile so she thought Sid didn't love her back. She started to leave when someone caught her hand.
Will you not hear my answer', He said.
Roshni looked back at him. Now he was smiling with tears in his eyes. He pulled her closer and spinned her around so her back would face his chest.
They started dancing to the song Humnava...

His hands slowly went up her back. Roshni closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulders.

They both hugged each other so tight.

They continued dancing until Roshni stopped and started to back off. She was in tears and Sid went closer. He wanted to just wipe those tears off her face but Roshni signalled him no with her hand.
Sid why are you doing this'
Matlab?', Sid was confused.
Oh come on last week you were with Nandini and today you are with Neha. Now me?...'
STOP ROSHNI', Sid shouted at her understanding what she was about to say.
Sid pulled her closer and said The only reason I went out with those girls was because I thought maybe it would get rid of my pain, my pain of not having you'
You loved me from before', Roshni said cupping his face.
Of course, I loved you more than anything Roshni. You are a huge part of my life and I can't believe I hurted you. I am really sorry. You are like a star that came in my life', Sid was now in tears.
Roshni hugged him as tight as she could. Roshni looked up and she saw Neha there looking at them. Roshni kissed Sid's black coat just to show Neha that he is taken...(Which is how he got the lipstick mark)
Neha went away in anger. Sid looked at Roshni lovingly and decided to tease her. Sid pretended to go after Neha.
Roshni was jealous and pulled Sid's collar and said You are MINE'
Sid laughed and Roshni realised he was joking.
*Flashback end*
Sid was smiling recalling the moments with Roshni when he realised it was already late and he had to go out. He wiped his tears and went out.
He walked on the streets hoping a hint would come to him to find out where Roshni was. He asked many people if they saw Roshni since the past few days but some of them said no and some of them just ignored him knowing what he had done.
It was really hard for him to walk down the streets knowing that the people hated him because of what he did but however nothing was more important to him than Roshni.
Other side:
Someone walked in the room where Roshni was and looked at her. Then she took off her mask and it was none other than Durgadevi Patel.
Roshni was shocked to see her there. A bit of her was heartbroken. She never thought she would see her mom here. She walked towards Roshni and took the tape off her mouth.
They separated 10 years ago because DD had to go on a business trip and she never came back. Since then Roshni hated her mom because she was an orphan when growing up. All she had was her Nani and her Mona Bua.
She couldn't believe her mom would leave her when she was 15. She especially hated her mom because of the pain her family went through. Her Mona Bua had to start working even though she had a broken leg but luckily Mona Bua owns a huge fashion company now.
DD was the principal of her school but they used to ignore each other.
Mmmom', Roshni stuttered to say.
Ugh don't even start with your melodrama', she said rudely while staring on her phone.
Why did I even bother to call her mom', Roshni thought.
Just tell me one thing, why did you leave us 10 years ago', she said in pain.

Roshni clenched her fist wanting to punch her own mom. She struggled to move.

Roshni was so confused. Someone that looked exactly like Sid.

DD took out a letter and started reading it out.
It read: Dear Mom,
I am grateful to you for letting me marry Roshni. When I first saw her photo I fell in love with her. I am so glad that night we fooled Sid and the people. I asked the priest already when we can marry and he said in two weeks. I cannot wait to talk to my Roshni...

You stupid women you promised him that I would marry him', Roshni was now really angry
Oh just shut up! Yes I promised him!', DD looked at Roshni as if Roshni was a stupid person.
But why DD', Roshni asked.

Wait a second what did he mean by that night..Does he mean the night with the incident between me and Sid?' She demanded to know.
Roshni I don't understand why can't you love him, he has the same face as Sid'
Roshni started laughing and DD was confused.

DD ignored her and went outside locking the room.
Roshni started crying badly. She wanted to be with Sid. She wished she could somehow tell Sid all this. She couldn't believe she was going to get married in two weeks. If there was someone she wanted to marry it would only be Sid.
Streets:
Sid walked down the streets helplessly. He has been walking for hours now but he still had energy left.
Suddenly his foot hit a rock.
Shit' He screamed in pain.
A shadow appeared in front of him.
Roshni', he said softly.
Sid you can do it! I am sure you will find me soon' and so saying that she disappeared.
Sid went on walking until he reached Roshni's house. He saw someone going in and he went over hoping he might find a hint.
Sid was about to go in but he heard a scream and it was Nani. He stayed at the door and listened.
Durga kya kar rahe ho yahan', Nani screamed at DD.
Maa I just came here to give you the wedding card'
Sid leaned against the wall and couldn't believe what he just heard.
What! That means DD is Roshni's mom',he whispered to himself.
He walked out and went back home.
Meanwhile Nani and DD's conversation continued..:
Kya wedding invitation?' Nani asked suspiciously.
Arre your own Roshni's wedding'
DD gave her the wedding card and she walked out.
Remember one thing Durga, Roshni only loves Sid and whatever you are up to, you'll never succeed', she said.
Khurana Mansion:
Sid walked in and he saw Kritika sitting on the sofa. He went over to her and said Kritika what are you doing up so late'
Oh I just thought you didn't eat so I waited for you to eat'
Oh yeah, sorry I forgot you have the habit of always eating with me.'
Kritika went over to the table and started serving food. They both sat down to eat. Sid looked at Kritika and said Kritika you really don't trust me?'
She looked up emotionally and said; to be honest most of me trusts you but there is another part that doesn't'
She started crying and hugged Sid.
Sid smiled at her.
I am so sorry Sid that day with mom and the food..I am sorry I just overreacted I guess. I thought about it after and I had forgotten that my brother is a great person. But Sid that night..'
I don't know Kritika what happened that night. I am very confused. I don't remember one thing. The last thing I remember was me and Roshni was supposed to go on a date that night and forcing me on Roshni is something I would think of doing'
That it! You guys probably have questions...Don't hate me for making another guy go after Roshni. But I promise he is not like Yash or anything.
Note: In fact let make one thing clear Karan doesn't know Roshni is kidnapped.
