"So well you both set for going to Nainital?" Benny asked and Roshni's glared toned down an octave. She turned towards him shockingly.
"Why do we have to go there?" she asked making Siddharth giggle openly. She gave him a 'What's so funny' look and he shrugged.
"Roshni have you really been paying attention?" Benny asked disappointment clear in his voice and Roshni was ashamed to have messed all up coz of the guy standing ahead of her.
"May I sir?" Siddharth asked politely and he nodded. The next few minutes Siddharth told all about how their company wanted to revolutionize and open up opportunities in the places most popular but still lacking the proper exposure.
Roshni was all the while avoiding any kind of eye contact with him ,as much as she denied he affected her. She didn't realize when Benny was gone.
"So you up for the trip right?" he asked smiling expecting a yes as an answer but she was ready to hound upon him like a hungry tigress any moment.
"Do I have another option?" she asked puffing and fussing about the issue as always and he shook his head in a No with a never-ending smile.
"Get the smirk of your face." she said punching him in the stomach with all the force she had in her. He let out a "oww" sound as he saw her leave.
"Chh chh Roshni. So love lost you are, haan?" he laughed to himself smirking as he remembered of what the boss had told before making an exit.
'You are fine na Roshni? If you want we can postpone the trip ,Siddharth please let me know.' he had said and Roshni had been standing all lost as Siddharth had noticed.
"Dude let's get to work ,Mission make her Mine Again." he said winking to himself and decided to do something special for her.
After some time Roshni started to leave from her house for the office to start on the trip when her phone rang flashing an unknown number.
"Yes this is Roshni Patel speaking ,who might this be?" she asked politely when she heard a laugh from the other side and the hatred in her rose a million times.
"Why can't you be so sweet with me too?" he asked teasing her and loving the interactions they were having till now.
"You wish! But you never gave me a reason to be soft with you." she added and the pain she felt reflected in her words.
He faltered in his resolve to keep a happy face and the past came back to haunt him. He was quiet for a long time and she thought he had cut the call.
"Be out in 10 minutes." he replied in a straight voice as she was about to keep the phone but she panicked thinking how could she reach the office in 10.
"Hello? I can't be there so soon!" she said but before he could listen to her the call had already been cut and she stomped her feet in irritation.
After 20 minutes
"Wow just amazing. He says 10 minutes and isn't in sight when it's already 20 minutes." she said totally losing her patience.
Her cellphone rang and she started blasting on him all of a sudden ,"Who the hell you think you are haan? I have been waiting outside the office since so long."
Before she could shout more the call was disconnected and she felt like strangling him from inside the phone. He came in his Audi R8 after some time.
"What took you so long if I may ask?" she asked anger seeping in her seeing him so calm and composed. He turned to her and leaned closer to her seat.
She became wary of the closeness and was about to push him but then realized he was just tying up her seatbelt for her.
"I am late ,so sorry for that. But it's coz of you!" he started apologetically but towards the end his voice became accusing and she was shell-shocked.
"WHAT!" she screamed at the top of her lungs and he was reminded of their midnight drives ,how she used to shout like that and he loved that about her.
She realised he was thinking about the same because of his next action precisely. "I'll put on the radio to tone the shouting beauty out."

"I got late because I was waiting for you at your house." he replied and she was totally surprised at that. She looked at him but then turned her gaze away.
Why couldn't he leave her alone. He made it very clear didn't he ,that she didn't matter to him at all! A tear made its way down her eyes.
