Sony grew by 56 GRPs this week. PK
performed phenomenally well at 6.8 TVR with
a reach of 23% and time spent of 68 mins on
Sunday 21st June. This has been the highest
rated movie premiere since five years on the
channel, the last one being 3 Idiots in 2010
(10.9TVR).
Sony stood as the No.1 channel on Sunday
with 63 GRPs and became the highest rated
weekend destination channel this week. The
movie was sampled by a huge 55 million
viewers across HSM. Sony was the NO.1
channel on Sunday primetime (8-12) across
ALL channels on television with 32% channel
shares (with around 60% channel share within
the key GEC genre competition). Key market
ratings for the movie were - Mumbai 10.9,
Delhi 8.2, Maharashtra 7, UP 6.7, MP 6.7,
Kolkatta 6.5. The peak rating for the movie
was 11.1 TVR.
PK rated a stupendous 12.6 TVR at household
level ratings with Sony growing by 100 GRPs
to 319 GRPs this week.
