Nachiket's lips had only touched Ragini's when Ranbir knocked on their door and called Nachiket.

"I'll check. Tum change karlo," Ragini left to check the door.

When Nachiket came out of the washroom, Ragini was sitting on the bed, facing the bathroom door.

"When were you going to tell me you had an accident on your first day in Delhi?"

"Ragin..."

"We're going home tomorrow morning. Ranbir has delivered your suit. Unfortunately, the pant is ruined. Now, what are you going to take, to show me where you are hurt?" Ragini had kept her voice low yet firm. And she had looked straight into his eyes while speaking.

"Its just a few bruises, Ragini. There's no need to worry," Nachiket had sensed the upsetting tone in Ragini's voice. He didn't want to get stressed and all.

"Show me, Nachiket. And I'm not going to repeat myself," Ragini insisted.

He let out a big sigh and walked towards her, holding her hand and placing it just above his knee..

'I had not given the pant to Ranbir because this is where I am hurt. I knew if that pant came back in that state, you would definitely get concerned. I told him the pant was ruined and not to bother'

She mirrored him and let out her own sigh.. as she started folding his pyjama, she realised the only way to see his wounds was to lower it. He looked down at her and quickly obliged, without any sense of taking it further. As the fabric slid down his knee, he momentarily flinched as it stayed on his bruise a little longer than expected and Ragini let out a quick gasp when she saw the black and blue bruise taking up almost all of his thigh..

'That's why I wanted the lights out the last two days', he whispered painfully..

'And now I feel so horrible, only because of you!', Ragini cried out.. letting her fingers gently wander on his bruise..

'Nachiket, I want to be able to trust you', she said and looked down immediately.. he moved forward to hold her head gently in his hands and hug her to his waist, he had no answer..

He sat down on the bed and made her sit next to him "i am sorry ragini" she looked at him she had tears in her eyes "how many more times nachiket" he sighed "i don't want to cause you pain" "everytime you hide something and then i find out that pain is worse then if you were just honest" "ragini" "you have been in pain for two days with your leg and today ur headache" he looked at her he had no answer. She got up and went out the door "ragini" she was gone.

She came back 15 mins later he was still sat on the bed she knelt down and put a hot compress on his bruise he winced in pain "you can't see me in pain what makes u think i can see you in pain" he moved her hair away from her face "ragini i don't know what to say all i can say i will try i promise" she looked at him he wiped her tears. "Go change ragini i will keep this on" she got up and went to the bathroom.

She came out he was laying on the bed still with the compress on she went and sat next to him "better" "yes" she took the compress off "when is your next scan" he looked at her "in a couple of weeks" "here or" "no sameer is coming to mumbai" "good i am going with you" "ragini" "no arguments" "i am not arguing ragini" "good" his phone rang he answered it. She got up and lay down she was listening to him "alison i am in delhi at the minute i am back tomorrow send me the files and i will look at them" he finished the call she turned to him and put her head on his chest.

He pulled her closer "that was alison she wants my help on a few cases" "who is alison" "i worked with her in the USA" "ok" "if i agree to help on the cases it will mean me having to go the USA for a couple of weeks" she lifted her head and looked at him "when will you know" "when i have looked at the cases" she put her head back on his chest and her arm around his waist "ok we can talk then" he pulled her closer and kissed the top of her head "ok darling"
