I have been meaning to ask this to arpita for so long, that what was her inspiration behind this story...as generally no one likes to read and even there are very very few stories on infidelity on Arshi, this topic is never welcomed when it comes to them...may be because infidelity was a huge part of the show and pretty much molded the character of the male lead and also the eternal love that Arshi had. My heart.❤❤

I honestly didn't think it would work. 😂

I was experimenting because the story had taken root in my head, and I wanted to see if the idea would get any readers. I had already filled my sadistic quota with 'Darmiyaan' but this one was more angst than tragedy, and i find it a tougher subject to tackle. Luckily, i did find readers ❤️

Also, i did not realize you guys would be interested in knowing the origin, inception or thought process behind the story. Its jumbled in my head too. Maybe someday I will pen down a longer A/N with it :)

That is actually a nice question, inception of this story. I think someday I will dive deeper into it and will definitely let you guys know :)

Coming to your question though. No, I didn't think Arnav and Lavanya were a better couple and that is because I am a hopeless romantic and live in a fantasy world. I LOVED Arnav and Khushi. For me they define star crossed. in the show, not only their pasts were entangled but the little things that they differed in. I mean for god's sake, she was a halwai and he was a diabetic 😂. These little things made the show slightly more special when I finally watched it (Which was AFTER reading several amazing fanfics btw)

A sane me would have questioned their background difference. But the truth of the matter was that Barun and Sanaya portrayed the love so intensely that all doubts were quashed away. They were just meant to be in my head (All the glaringly obvious issue could go to hell when Rabba Ve played in the background 😂 ).

It wasn't inspired by the show. But when the idea took place in my head, I knew the background difference had to play a role in here. Its just faces and names, but the character inspiration was not drawn from the show.

Gutsy move then to write so effectively about Arnav's infidelity in this forum and having readers wanting to two to split and Khushi finding her happiness elsewhere. 😅🤣

Ahh yess.

It was one of those meant to be-s , destiny thing with an entangled past.

Everything was blazingly opposite yet so so similar.

I think when you see it as a kid you see the differences and the romance and the rabba-ves but when you see it as an adult, you can understand that they are just the same person in their core...just have opted for different coping mechanisms. The show was just extremely well written for ITV standards atleast upto the end of shyam's character.

IPKKND is like friends to me, i just keep on watching some scene or other almost daily. Bdw i have obsessively binged watched the whole show after the initial chapters of this story, repeatedly watched all the rabba-ves😍. That was my coping mechanism after the torture of every chapter.

I do love Arnav and Khushi, but I am also a sucker for angst and tragic stories 😉

6) Khushi will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes of her broken dreams and life. She will realise she does not have to rely on a husband or parents. She ran an NGO for abandoned, abused women and will know there is help. She will find happiness, remarried or single.

She has a forgiving nature so she will forgive Arnav but not forget what he did. There is no way back to him. Divorce is inevitable and Arnav will be free to marry/live with Lavanya or someone else. His life, he can live as he wants, with no pressure from anyone.

Khushi will not care what happens to Arnav. She will be all polite whenever their paths cross.
