Dont wanna generalise or sound patronising but I have seen most Indian shows, like the M&B in earlier days, thrive on manhandling and abuse against women. In yesteryears women were objectified, but with time, things have changed. However to prove that a hero is dark, one doesnt need to demean FLs/ women.

Oh my God, so true. What ASR did with La was wrong but he broke up with her respectfully. Although, he did misbehave with Khushi and imo, never really gave her the respect of a spouse, as shown in Diwali epis after remarriage.

Would have to begrudgingly second this, ASR definitely was disrespectful towards Khushi. But that was cos he never acknowledged her as his equal, in status.However, post the re-marriage, it didnt change must, except that he apologised and conveniently trampled over her self respect.

My vote too goes to Shashi.

In Wedded he was a good person though I couldn't digest the fact that he was unable to rescue Garima n Khushi after Mahesh's death n Garima n Khushi were at mercy of Suresh n his mom who were no less than Villains.

In WA he took a 360 degree turn becoming a selfish narcissistic character.

In Wry he surpassed every one even Arnav n Khushi. Letting go of his only son so that he gets love of mom and dad, ensuring that the only woman whom he ever loved isnt bereft of love of a child, giving a life to an orphan who was left at human mercy, letting his own childless bro adopt lil Khushi who was a light in his otherwise dark life, a true friend to Peter keeping Srnab's parentage a secret almost to the end, Shashi cones shining like a bright diamond in WRY.

Kudos to N for shaping up his character do well

Waiting to see who takes a special place in our heart in the next story!

I am deeply touched with your reverent memory of my stories and the characters too.Apart from writing the character of Arnav, I have enjoyed penning Khushi, Kunal and Shashi. Infact, in Wedded, I loved his character the most, along with Garima.In WA, hands down Arnav won.But in Wry, Shashi has surpassed all characters in the story.

Aishu, P, EC - I loved reading your comments above. Shashi was my favorite character in WEDDED!!, after Arnav ofcourse!

Well,I am unable to post the Prologue,so you can imagine the kind of frustration I am going through. Have already posted on the blog, but its a private post. I was hoping to post on IF too. And here we are stuck with the markups and post format.Shashi in Wedded has been my fave too, after Arnav.

This is a heads up, you might not know, but starting 5th of May is the holy month of Ramadan/ Ramzaan. A lot of readers will drop out of IF.

You may not want to start the new story now. The month ends around beginning of June and I think, that would be a better time to bring in the new tale. Also, a lot of Uni's have exams in June. So I guess end of June is when a lot of readers are back.

Rest is upto you. I am just thinking aloud.

In Wry, we had 4 main characters to choose from. Every character brought their own peculiar persona. Shashi was the one with least flaws compared to other three. But, unsurprisingly, I would pick Arnav as my favorite <3 And it's not just because he's "Arnav" (well, that too) but because I feel I could relate to his actions better than the other characters. He may not be justified about what he said or did, but I understand the reasons behind it.

Lets say Arnav was more real than Shashi. But although unrealistic, its people like Shashi and not Arnav who make the world a better place to live in.
