Ok, so here I am with my analysis. I am so sorry that I couldn't be able to comment earlier.
Chapter 15: Arnav and khushi's convo felt very real. It was the much needed thing we have been looking forward to in order for them to break the hard shard of ice between them. Aman and sheetal both have been addressed, so there won't be any major bone of contention the next time these people are brought up in their topics. I have been trying hard to find out any other proofs of arshi's supposed one night stand. And I'm only getting more and more certain with each update. Have always felt that there must have been some hot attraction brewing between the two starting from the first. Exactly when it happened, I am not sure, but it must have occurred somewhere in the week after the three of them first met at La's wedding. Aman must have already told arnav that he liked khushi and was planning to ask her on a date. That's why arnav must have cruelly distanced himself from her after supposedly spending the night with her. His question about whether he stood any chance with her, only shows that it wasn't just a momentous night of lust and passion. It was something more serious. And that mutual attraction was perhaps addressed by both of them before, during the time they spent that night. Maybe in states of extreme drunkenness. But arnav's rude behaviour later on had damaged their entire equation.
Pari is right in mentioning that aman really is like that snake shyam. Just like him, aman knew how to make people fall for him, and either hide his flaws or make people be indifferent towards them.
Chapter 16: That was a fun chapter! Khushi and her list! Haha, it's only from her list that she has now become more coherent of how wrong aman had been all along for her. So, she concluded that it was not entirely arnav's fault that aman was all involved with his work. He himself was a workaholic. In one of the earlier chapters, aman did try to save arnav's image by saying to khushi that he too loved his work or something like that, when she blamed aman's inability to spend time with her on arnav.
And the list on arnav? Well, I must admit that that you dear writer, have given such a delicious characterization of our hero, that I can't help drooling on him. The list only goes on to show what a remarkable specimen of a man he is. How can someone overlook such a person for someone like aman?
He had good bedside manners.
Ok, I was confused about its actual meaning. And this is what i got:
"The ability of one to cope with the abrupt surprise the morning after interaction with a female, whom the night before appeared to be quite striking and statuesque, but now appears to be repugnant, uninviting, and reminiscent of snuffaluffagus."(Urban Dictionary site)
One example will be when someone flees or avoid the scene after finding out that he/she spent the night with someone resulting from a drunken night. It means having total disregard for what had happened before. So, arnav also did something like that. And this is what khushi meant by bedside manners perhaps?? My assumption is that either both of them or at least arnav must have been totally drunk when it happened, and so carried it out. In the morning after, he remembered aman mentioning that he liked khushi, and then his callous behaviour of ignorance followed. I can't go on to say that arnav shouldn't have done that, or even khushi shouldn't have done that, if this happened after aman's confession. Because, in this story it has been seen that almost all major characters, including arnav and khushi have their own set of flaws. They are not the goody-two-shoes kind of fairytale characters. So, I will refrain from trying to see them spotless and putting them in frames of complete white.
Anyway, I think arshi has shared a very uncomfortable equation whenever they have been together during the khushi-aman courtship and right after his death. So, it mustn't have been a small incident that happened between them. It definitely must have been something intense and complicated, something which had the potency to shake their relation to the extent of bitterness.
And that mysterious cap again made an appearance in her dream. I totally agree with pari that the dream is nothing but a consequence of her insecurities and fear which aman had left in her.
Looking forward to the next!
