Kudos that you are showing a typical Indian man in our society. This might bring out bitterness in some of the readers. I just hope u handle it bravely.
To be truthful Arnav's behavior totally rubbed in the wrong way. A very steoretypical man in this society. Marry a woman who would be a wh**e on the bed, maid in the living room and a cook in the kitchen. He has no respect for Khushi's wishes be it her will to work after marriage or be something as small as consent in sex. I would like to throw some light here that in many Asian countries (including India) marital rape is not a criminal offence. There are many women who go through this regularly and see nothing wrong in it, where there basic human right of a woman is being violated everyday.
I guess Khushi did feel violated. This makes her different from the typical stereotypical. I don't know maybe Arnav cares for her in his own way, but I am not able look beyond the fact that he treats her as a lesser human and more like a commodity to meet his and his family's need.
No, doubt that Khushi was disturbed about not being able to cconceive. But, her out right telling Arnav about the same makes me think she did this because she wants to be out of this arrangement this marriage she believes that Arnav will ask for divorce if she can't give a heir to the Raizada's (that's again a wishful thinking, as Arnav's reaction doesn't validate this thought) Polycystic ovaries is very common cause of infertility in women of today's generation, but its not end of the world. Women with polycystic ovaries do conceive. Especially in her case when she carried a child for eight months.
Waiting for the next chapter and Arnav's complete reaction to the news.
