Congratulations on New thread. After reading the teaser I have a doubt if Mohini is Arnav's real mom or step mom. It's really painful for a little to tolerate such a behaviour from his mother.
Before you all get down to reading this chapter, I would like to tell you that this chapter is very close to my heart and I want to dedicate this chapter to someone very special. Someone who managed to break the barriers and reach out to me, not only to befriend me, but also to be there as an able guide and mentor, reassuring me whenever necessary and someone I could reach out to, anytime and every time. And now I can safely say that she understands me like no one does, making a place for herself in my heart, forever. Of course it was by fate that we met and my good fortune that it happened much before Wedded, because for me this story apart, this chapter would have been unimaginable to write and foresee if not for her valuable inputs and upbeat spirit during the course of our interactions. Kavitha (canapoem), thank you for being there and thank you for your endless love and support. Words fail me today as I try and express my feelings and gratitude for having you around, but just know that I love you, I always have and I always will... hamesha. 🤗🤗
And I am sure that after reading this update you would agree with me, that it takes a LOT to be a winner, a striver and a vanquisher. But most of all its just the undying will power that keeps one going, for YOU my friend knows this more than anyone else that," strength does not come from winning. Our struggles develop our strengths. When we go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength. And it is our strengths that make us a winner. And the winner takes it ALL... "

Wedded is now on GOODREADS
"Khushi sometimes we just need to grow immune to certain things and stop getting bogged by them." he looked at her intently, explaining some more, as he saw her blink in confusion," you are special to people who love you, have been and will always be, but dont let this love get overshadowed with dislike from those who dont love you. I have learnt it the hard way."
Turning around quietly he walked to his room and slumped onto his bed as his parents voice rang in his head while he raked his brain trying to figure out how his actions caused so much unpleasantness in the house always. He was just a boy who did harmless stuff, his Dadi had told him, then why was his family not perfect like any of his classmates? Why were his parents always fighting, unlike his friends parents who were cordial or loving towards each other. He didn't understand many things but he did know that he had not done enough to make his mommy proud, unlike Akash Bhaiyaa.
But somehow the happenings around him and the lack of love, had shattered his little confidence to perform better, let alone killing the will to do well in life. Slowly and slowly he had withdrawn into a shell, not feeling motivated enough to do anything in life. Aimless and lost, he had just lived for the sake of living. His life's happenings had finally taken a toll on him, making him a frugal and solitary non-existent being.
"Hi, can I sit here?," a nineteen year old Arnav looked up to see a girl his age standing in front of him and he recognised her as his mother's friend's daughter. "I am new here and dont know anyone around, would you mind if I join you." "Sure, you are.."" I am Sheetal, we have met several times before, but didn't really get a chance to talk. Umm how long have you been in the college?," she asked as she took a seat next to Arnav in the college cafeteria. Arnav looked at her thoughtfully,"around a month. Bhai passed out from here last year and I felt motivated enough to try my luck here and fortunately I got through," he shrugged. Some one whistled behind him and he turned to see Akash waggling his eyebrows at him,"A...A...Arnav, w...w...what is happening?," his brother mocked him while his group of friends laughed at him.
"Remember you cant win all battles with words. Do not be embarrassed by your failures, because failures are stepping stones to success. Learn from them and start again." The journey of finding himself again had been a battle that he had fought every minute with himself and his demons. But the happiness that he saw in his father and grandmother's eyes at the little improvements in his condition had kept him going, encouraging him to work hard and to never give up and strive harder. He didnt recall if she had been happy or not, but he knew that she had not dared to refute his achievement, for once and for the very first time. But for Arnav this success had been a game changer, the first step of his journey from an underdog to a bellwether...
