The first two episodes of the Jashn episode have been aired. There's a lot of Barun but no Sanaya!

Season 1 of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has been one of the most successful shows on Indian Television of late. The series was aired from 2011-12 and starred Barun Sobti as Arnav andSanaya Irani as Khushi. The story was about how an arrogant man like Arnav and the dainty, down-to-earth Khushi, were brought together by marriage and how the two,eventually ended up falling for one another. This series was a rage but went down hill when lead actor Barun called it quits. Soon, season two of the show was aired with actors Avinesh Sachdev(Shlok) and Shrenu Parikh (Aastha). Though the show was a hit, it couldn't match up to the popularity levels of season 1. Today, Sanaya and Barun have reunited for a special series of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon- Ek Jashn. The show is being aired on Hotstar and celebrates Khushi and Arnav' love story, followed by a walk down memory lane, highlighting their best moments.

The first two episodes present Barun as Arnav, talking about his relationship with Khushi and how the two started off their relationship, three years ago. All in all, these episodes are more of a documentary and not a daily soap per say. You can see Barun reminiscing about his romantic and tragic moments with Khushi. The first episode starts with a flashback of the first season and soon progresses into a story of how three years later, Khushi is pissed with Arnav as the latter has forgotten their wedding anniversary. The first episode didn't feature Sanaya at all, except for the angry message she sends Arnav, bashing him for forgetting their special day. From there on till the next episode, Barun is seen talking to the viewers about the days gone by and about how he is planning to make it up to Khushi with a special surprise.

We were expecting a lot more from these Jashn episodes. Though we are more than happy to see Barun on-screen once again, Sanaya's absence from both the episodes makes us eager to see Khushi and Arnav. Moreover, had Sanaya and Barun been together in the first episode, it would have been more impactful. Till now, it has been a Barun marathon.

But we are expecting to see more of Sanaya in the upcoming episodes. But boy is it refreshing to see Barun again. And ladies, he looks as handsome and cute as ever! Keep watching this space for more updates on IPKKND-Ek Jashn.
