This is mind blowing Indi Di!! And congrats for being brave and watching Jashn!!👏

Got tears while reading!! This is the IPK I fell in love with!! I don't know what to say more!! ❤️

So I request you not to be so critical about this small segment and don't expect also. I also was not expecting anything. I'm a crazy Sarun fan, to see them in one frame is a treat for me. Good acting or bad acting, the igniting chemistry enthralled me again though it was not a romantic scene.

Just saw your post! It's true that with all we are saying about Jashn it seems taht we are completely against it! But I love Sarun and I would like to see them back on screen too

But in something different not with Jashn

But the thing I fear is to be bored or to hate a new show with Sarun because it won't be like IPK

I fell in love with their performances through IPK and that Love-Hate story

Maybe if they get something very unique with Sarun it can attract me! Personally I really loved their fight and that hate turning into desire passion and those Faraks and Damn its! The magic of IPK was unique and will stay close to my heart and I don't want to hate Barun and Sanaya if they do something else that will be too common

So Jashn! I watched it yesterday but had to cool down before coming to IF!

I was so pissed off since the beginning with him calling Garima "Amma" maybe there is all that changing thing but I never expected him to call Khushi's parents "Amma and Babuji" Buaji being different! It was so awkward watching him repeating again and again Amma!!

I like the FB with Buaji it helped me cool down a bit! And seeing him afraid of Buaji on call it was the same as in the original too he was kind of feeling ashamed to have forgotten his wife's bday!

The thing that made me want to throw my lappy was him hanging down his head! Like ASR... Accepting his defeat and hanging his head down!! 😡 It was so out of character! ASR would never do that! Remember that time he slapped twice,because he asked for more money and insulted him, before giving him 2 crores (was it?) more! That's ASR for you!Everyone dance to his tune! But again some husbands would say that after marriage they dance to their Biwi's tune (I would have to check that in few years though 😉)

And about the second FB!! Just... Got goosebumps!! This scene was such... With that Rabba Vee!!

Him with glistening eyes holding that one Rose from his Maa's garden!!

It showed that he understood Khushi! That bag he made Aman chose and pack and deliver to home was maybe expensive but that single rose symbolizing the love he had for him Maa... It meant so much more... A priceless gift for his woman!

Then the way he looks at her! Regretting everything bad he did to her and in his rush to celebrate her birthday he made her do things she didn't want to

That look held more promises and love than all he did to her! That's one of the best thing of IPK: Each and every glance, every look has a meaning and goes very deep! And that was also Barun's plus he could convey all that "the eyes speaking volumes" After all the eyes are the window to the Soul!

And that Kiss meant so much more! It was not the stolen kiss at the poolside after a fight and challenging her! It was not a sudden Kiss when she kissed his whole family before accidentally kissing him too!

It was much more! I for the one felt more in it... Perhaps I am seeing to much but this kiss witnessed only by the stars (he thought) meant more! Fro her, she finds her parents there and she thought him to believe in it! Not a matter of truth but a matter of belief

And as they were apart they spoke to each other looking at the sky and the stars making their parents messengers and feeling each other's presence in the breeze

I thought this was a beautiful moment

Remember how once he asked her if her Maa was happy about him? Well there he is proving his Maa that he is trying to change himself and that if not face to face his asking somehow with a kiss trying to say sorry to Khushi

And this last scene where she is looking at him with all the love and pain and he is looking away still ashamed of what he did to her...

Everything is there... That one look says everything... That she forgave him... That she still loves him with all his defaults and that she is ready to lose herself in his Pyaar and in him!

This one scene kind of sums up all IPK I think! And explain beautifully their Rishta, their Bond

I know that I can go on and on about this but all this is to make one point: Thanks for bringing Jashn because without all the flaws in it I would have not appreciated to this extend IPK! I know I was completely mad about this before but know I am hopelessly crazy and insanely in love with it!

Maybe...Just maybe this scene only would have been better than all Jashn! A compilation of all those scenes! MY!! Would have to rewatch some VMs!!

And finally!! The lady came! As I said in another post I liked this new Khushi! New year New Khushi (I know that was lame!!)

About him running to her was good to watch but much gel which doesn't let his hair fly and a not so tight suit that fit him make that experience a bit less enjoyable!

Nice to see Khushi still teasing him! That is something Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada would do to annoy him!!

And... Just noticed something: Did Arnav really say "Aakass?" Maybe he spent to much time with "Amma" who calls the Lady "Khussi"!

Coming to the most important thing: Arnav being angry!! Well except that it seemed to be a pale copy of that ASR I totally loved to see at least this on Jashn and with their famous dance for "step forward-step backward" and Khushi getting all angry too Nice to see that bit again on Jashn even if it was not an IPK original scene!

And that scene outside the room was cute and I love his confession (as far as I detach that Jashn to IPK)

I think this is the Jashn episode that I enjoyed the most to date! 🤔

PS: Sorry for all those posts the thing is with the time difference I always use IF at night! So that's when I can read all your comments and comment them too! I feel like intruding this thread! 😕

i am reading talk on the mrs india track... oh it was terrible... so was sheetal and dadi was bizarre, and i never agreed with remarriage... yet all the while i could feel a sense of asr and khushi.

plus many of these came as a result of desperation for trp, also in the acrimonious last months of ipk.

the pressure was crazy, it disoriented everyone maybe and all sorts of strangeness poured out. there was even lead writer change in the middle and director changes... all sorts of tensions.

what confounds me is, after a three year gap, you shoot something trying to use ipk to get whatever it is you want to get (which is fine by me)... there's no acrimony at this point, it's a fresh new moment, and everyone seems ready for it... no pressure, no who's leaving, whose reputation is at stake, etc., all the problems that ipk was beset with in the last 4 to 6 months of its life...

then how come you don't look at the best times of ipk and try to capitalise on that.

why would you make anything so removed from the sense and feel of the show. this is a channel of much experience. india's largest... they are not callow teenagers, just rushing into a thing willy nilly, no thought about audience, programming, the psychographics and the demographics of viewers and their relationship with characters, etc., of successful shows.

trust me if they bring parvati or tulsi, the two heroines of the earliest big cable tv shows, both brought to the world by star... they will make sure the viewers connect. they will try very hard not to go off sync with the captive audience's perception and emotional investment.

oh they did several horrid things in those shows too... but people loved the shows. and if you want to use that material again you'll try not to alienate anyone... while getting the attention of new viewers. (happens in marketing of established brands all the time, nothing new.)

with ipk...

star first started a terrible so called sequel in no time... the strange ek baar phir with the same logo and theme of love hate (supposedly). and made it run for years despite very low trp. yeah, it's a bg channel, it can make shows continue if it wishes to, with or without trp.

then after a three year gap, some miracle happened, suddenly all were hunky dory with each other... the channel which had said the show had to close because barun is off to make movies said, oh, he left because he was unwell...

and then came a month of priming viewers, before that a choreographed dubai trip by barun, very nice, i have no complaints. fan groups were contacted and the whole thing hyped with much secrecy built in... major curiosity. okay, that's natural.

and then started jashn.

not even the fashion tycoon's clothes fit or look fashionable. and the one who doesn't talk, talks constantly. the character whose smile was rare and therefore precious can't stop smiling... the girl who people adore isn't there in seven episodes and she feels not at all like the khushi one knew... most importantly no real exploration of the jodi... the key ingredient that made the show so big. in september of 2011 when no one thought it was possible ipk beat balika vadhu of the rival channel in trp... a huge success moment for star plus programming in that coveted 8 pm time slot... it was around the time of teej...

so when you are returning fresh and new, wouldn't you make the most of that unique rare thing... that chemistry? but its asr in strange clothes and continuously smiling and talking, khushi not there, no exploration of chemistry...

why, i wonder would anyone do this. does not make sense.

or maybe it does... for some reason... to someone.

hmmm... maybe the shyam in us wins only too often. 😆 maybe that's why there was no need for shyam babua here. but guess what, he made ipk ipk too...

you can write lengthy posts happily and not feel like you're intruding... this is an open thread. everyone is welcome. and all opinions have value. as long as we keep our interaction happy and respectful. bas.

i loved your step by step take on the bday moments... oh to be young and thinking of love. sigh. 😃

and it's a pleasure to see a new viewer chatting, placing her thoughts on a show we all love.

that amma. i am sort of disturbed but by now jashn has got me expecting such things... conditioned pavlovian response. 😆

but let me ramble a bit, since bday came up.

you know i saw her birthday a bit differently... i was plain irritated with her by the end of it... she took things to an extreme, tamatar and bhaji in expensive bag, a gift at that,why must she be presented as brainless... huh! i was like what's going on here. also later her refusal to give in despite the bday he set up, i thought that was churlish... also not forgiving him.

but then, that was the whole point i thought... she was mad at him, for all sorts of reasons and she expressed in this way... i felt that was real... in relationships, especially when love is very very intense, this off step communication is so normal, such a sign of love even... one thing leads to a flare up over something else, you wonder huh, what where... but off goes the interaction, emotions fly, raging ranting, then that need, the love, the cooling... the feelings asserting again... lovely.

khushi wanted him to love her and he had just a while back said awful stuff about shyam and her. plus di was so unhappy and khushi knows how important di is to her husband and she likes di too. complicated feelings. khushi is feeling the hurt and anger... not being able to resolve it.

also star plus has this habit of making girls react to all situations in a holier than thou way, as if our feelings just need to be swallowed and we need to rise above everything. silly. so khushi tells dm she is not mad at arnav ji... but i can see she is... and to me, that's fine.

had all been well between asr and kkg and she had behaved like that on her bday, i'd have found it really bad, but given the situation, and her need for him, and yet all her million trepidations and all sorts of thoughts, that is khushi...

and the birthday fracas i sort of get, while remaining a bit miffed at khushi. can't you see how much the man loves you i want to say, and you're such a smart girl... can't you let the anger go.

but i also realise, it's too soon in their relationship. plus yeah, the guy really ought not to have said that shyam thing.

just one thought still lingers, the sunny happy kkg at some point would have flung her arms around her arnav ji and said, okay, she loved the birthday gift and the cake and all the drama shama...😆
