Now coming to the first episode...am not sure how many of you have read the bengali poem "Banalata Sen" by Jibananda Das...the first episode of IPKKND or probably the entire love story reminds me of the poem. Banalata Sen of Natore, a tiny town in the Rajshahi area of what was then Bengal, has become an emblem of feminine mystery as well as beauty and love just like our Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada has become an emblem of unconditional love and beauty for the Indian TV.

In the first stanza the traveller describes seeing her after having wandered upon the earth over thousands of years. The narrator says that it has been a thousand years since he started trekking the earth. He describes it as a long journey in night's darkness from the Ceylonese waters to the Malayan seas. From this geographical expanse he goes on to the extent of time, saying that, in the course of his wanderings he has traversed the fading world of Bimbisara and Ashoka. He adds that he went further, to the forgotten city of Vidharbha. Finally he speaks of himself as now being a weary soul although the ocean of life around continues to foam and adds that in the meanwhile he had a few soothing moments with Natore's Banalata Sen. -------Reminds me of a man called Arnav Singh Raizada, a man who has travelled for fourteen years through the darkness of his parents death and treachory of his family; from the geographical expanse of Lucknow to Delhi to Boston (Harvard) and back to Delhi.Just when he or anyone around him never thought that he can go back to what he was, when even he himself refused to admit that deep down probably even he was weary of this constant facade of anger and indifference which was covering his pain and sorrow, he found his soothing moments with the weird yet mysterious woman Khushi Kumari Gupta.

To me the first episode was like an errupted volcano because of seismic shift...the shift? The middle class girl of Gomti Sadan travels to Sheesh Mahal, the palace of the riches...the clash of the ideals and beliefs of Khushi and the money of Arnav Singh Raizada.

I just did ...it seems funny as SBS links and other adds which a glimpse of them are under attack...that shows how scared are they...any way we are here enjoying these moments whenever we have time...I am the least seen person here so get used to for that.

A lot of us here haven't watched when the show was live on television. blast from the past is such a welcome sanctuary. looking forward to having you here.

by the way I also really like Shahrukh kha..but well I never wrote a poem for him or made edits of him. haha Barun Sobti and Arnav Singh Raizada as a combination is lethal drug for sure.

First of all will rant a little. I can watch all episodes on Hotstar in India and can not watch it in Canada- Ramanchi ramanchi ramanchi but the good thing can watch them while i am here😃

Watched the first episode and few things to ponder:

Snickerwali khushi, scooterwali khushi, sanakwali khushi but the best one is the shrewd, astute, nononsene Hero who enters in a chopper sanawali's rajkumar. His entry was a class just like the man himself. A clear cut contrast drawn between the two titans.

Defined music for Khushi and ASR that made show so much lovable.

Devi maiya's grace, Arnav's sister - One of the sweetest sister on TV and the same Khushi ka parivaar (The only thing which did not change throughout apart from nani)

ASR ka dialogue - Mera nishana kabhi chookta nahi and about money. I wonder where did this canny businessman lose himself after contract shadi😕 His business running on default making the statement Pyaar main nikamma true😆.

But then was that the ahesaas from that first episode between the two? The synchronized eye movement, the perfect fall, their eyelock and then him checking her out. Her hand on his collar.

So many little things that were there through out. 😃

Since we are starting it all over again- My first memory of IPK and about the star was not very pleasant. I was asked by one of my IF buddy to watch it when the show was on air. The first epi i guess i watched was the one during the kidnap track... Teri meri dance one and then their dialect with the moon and stars. My first impression about the man was - The man can not act and does not show any emotion with his straight face😳 and thought how come in the 21 st century they are showing so insensical things as to talking through stars😕 so never watched it after that. A big mistake on my part else would have been the part of this forum forever as to HAMESHA😃.
