This is another selfish gesture of Anjali. She actually took Arnav for granted, He is a married man; he could bring flowers for his wife too. How could she was so sure that he got it for her!

Yes it was however i felt bad for Anjali here. Before also when Shyam got red flowers he said it in double meaning looking at Khushi that he knows whose fav flowers are these.

NK comes to get Mrs. KKGSR inside her room. Payal also pushes her to go with him. She wants her darling sister to celebrate her birthday lovingly with her husband. She knows how much she suffered in past few days! After she left Payal prays a supplication that may all her days be like this happy forever.

@ Bold - Most of the relation in IPK was shown very neatly and nicely but this one. Payal - Khushi shared everything yet Payal was so self centred in her own life that she hardly knew what Khushi went through during initial stage of her wedding. She too never tried to find out why she did what she did. She should have atleast tried to find it out.

NK drags Khushi in front of her room and before getting in he gives her a lovely present and wishes her happy birthday. Khushi opens the box; it's a cute bracelet. To see his love, her face glints with a sweet smile. He tells her that he will be her best friend forever, whenever she will need her, he will be by her side, forever. Khushi also knows this and she thanks him for such a thoughtful gift.

yes like a bestest friend NK indeed stood by Khushi's side forever.

I loved NK for this. He flirted with her before wedding but after wedding he was her true well wisher and friend. I thought he never had to promise her as he passed that test any ways.👍🏼

NK talks about bouquet misunderstanding, Arnav got the rose bouquet for her. Khushi knows he gave it to di. NK asks her didn't she feel bad. Khushi replies, not at all,

"to bring smile on someone's face, he did it, so how can I feel bad!"

The only sensible thing that Khushi said that day.

Pause: it was certainly a wrong message they conveyed through Khushi. Designer and good branded stuffs are actually very durable.

Totally agree and just for the record they carry life long guarantee/warantee too😆

She is shocked to see her brother celebrating his wife's birthday in a romantic ambiance.

How Anjali intrudes his brother's privacy, it seems she thinks her brother is really chottey. How a person can go into a married couple's room without knocking. It was good that she didn't found him making love to his wife. Actually rather it would be better, if she would see them in some compromising position, then sure she wouldn't pry his room without knocking.

I dont even dare to open my daughter's room without knocking and look at this woman😲. Forget entering married couple room even his chotey was big enough man. What if he was changing?😕

Her fretting makes him completely dumbfounded. His gaze falters seeing all that fury and frustration seething in her eyes. After abrading him with emotional torture Khushi leaves with teary eyes.

I actually didn't get Khushi's preposterous behavior. I already said in my previous take that saying or wishing happy birthday shouldn't be important, what is important is one's intention. Khushi already saw how many ways Arnav tried to celebrate her birthday. He even tried to utter happy birthday. But he couldn't, he is a laconic man, he is introvert, not too expressive, he can't articulate his emotion rhetorically, he can't say guileful words like Shyam. Khushi already knew his character, then why she wanted to change him? He never wanted her to change for him. I actually didn't expect it from a sensible girl like Khushi. The girl who always amused me with her rational and mature thinking, today completely disappointed me with her staccato behavior.

Ditto - I was thinking is this the same girl who just said Di ki khushi ke liye ...? This was one of the worst epi on IPK with both in frame together.

Arnav is standing by the poolside like a defeated person. There is agony and frustration reflects in his eyes. To placate Khushi seemed arduous for him. His look goes on to the gifts what she got, she even didn't take anything with her. She doesn't have any interest on expensive gifts. He recalls how she reacted to get the expensive bag, she even didn't appreciate it. She appreciated more of his gesture when he gave the flower bouquet to Anjali. She is not like other girls who gets happy by expensive gifts, she gets more happy to make others happy or in mundane stuffs like gol gappe, jalebi or chane.

Anajli comes in her room and recalls what she saw a while ago; Arnav is celebrating his wife's birthday so lovingly. She laments with excruciating pain. Her look goes to the rose bouquet what Arnav got not for her but for Khushi. She recollects how Arnav scurried fast to get the flower and tried to say for whom he ordered this? She now connects the dot, that the red roses are Khushi's favorite. She throws the bouquet with despise and crumples to the floor in pain as the dam breaks.. She starts to sob,

"tumhare liye, itna asan tha chottey, itna asan tha sab kuch bhoola dena. You forgot so easily, so many things happened with your di, just some while ago. Your di endured so much and you forgot! In my crisis, Khushi is more important to you than your di, apne di se zada! kaise bhool sakte ho chottey? How can you forgot?"

Anjali breaks down in tears.

I have nothing more to say about Anjali's selfish thought. Cause I already said enough. Her brother who was a loner, distraught during his whole life, who sacrificed so much for her happiness, when finally got a little happiness in his life, when he finally fall in love with a girl and was trying to lead a normal life, Anjali couldn't accept it. What crime he committed by celebrating his wife's birthday in his room; he didn't even divulged it or celebrated with grandeur! Doesn't he deserve a little happiness in his life! You only deserve happiness Anjali!

After watching the episode i just felt bad for Arnav for those rare times as the guy was working hard to revive relation with the most important women in his life and both were so unreasonable to him. Khushi who even understands his silence could not understand his gesture and on other hand his sister

@ Ami - A virtual hi 5😆 Yes those late night shows and then cursing Ipad/phone as the battery died and then waking up at 6:00 in AM to fulfill AD was something beyond my imagination. I thought i lived my teenage yet again 😛

@ Horizon - No i did not watch it backward. I just watched few Arshi love scenes online to get the feeling of the show and those were as usual magical so watched it from start.
To me the pace, comic sense, brave and very un predictable khushi, a very loving family, no Kitchen politics and most imp magic created by lead with their extra ordinary chemistry was the reason. I loved that despite ASR being so rich and all he was shown as a perfect gentleman. No drinking, no womanizer, having high family values, etc, etc.

Well, I discovered the show last year online, seems like a fluke now!(Cineraria, girl you are making us wait!)
I had marathon binge watching sessions, started with the love scenes, YT had most of them at that time. Have never been a serial watcher, but this one caught me unlike any other! Discovered many new terms in the process, actually that credit should go to this forum, vm, ff, ss, os...
Suffice to say, the nasha hasn't come down yet!

IPK was an experiment to have a main stream love story in the prime time when indian tv was abuzz with MILs, DILs and SILs. To come to think of a show without an ever imposing saas was a huge deal.. the makers and channel certainly deserve an big applause for their guts and the former's conviction. The contemporary freshness and infectious support characters were a huge plus point. It certainly made all the babes and aunties alike to come out of their inhibitions to give desi soaps a try.. but what made it the international phenomenon is certainly that fire duo of arnav ji and khushi bitiya..
Post IPK, having an intense love story on the dinner platter is mandatory for every channel...but histories are NOT created every other day!

@Bhavi~
thanks for reading my 298
You are right, poor Arnav had been sandwiched by two most important women of his life.
Though Anjali didn't show it openly, but Khushi was actually getting into my nerve.
I think he should come to me.😉 I understand him more.😃

Thanks for that pep talk about the scene..Yes, bolts and locks are there for a reason for every door and they should be used appropriately, timely ...but yes, I pity Mr Raizada that altho he possesses a so called mansion, he can not really love his wife khullam khualla even when the entire family is supposedly away...😊
The embarrassing thing is actually not just they entering, but the way it was blown out of proportion by anjali, mamiji as if something unthinkable, undoable is happening.. if they silently made their ways into their rooms, it wouldn't have been as bad..but ofcourse this is daily soap.. things will be maginified 1 million X ...
Did he say chillax? I have to see that again.. .I do watch it until the hug..

Oh yes he has become a proper joru ka ghulam, arnavification.. But that scene looks very forced...doesn't quite gel with me in general... he scared her deliberately and those magical flowers..
I loved their earlier repartee in room more .. the classic tom and jerry...where he suggests her to come to Agra with him... safai .. woh tho aap ke jaathe jahi ho jayegi..and later.. he says "suna maine" from a distance...and I died...

No no, he didn't say chillax, it's me who interpreted it. 😆
To scare her deliberately, definitely not ASR's style, it was completely hindi soap style. But what about the storm and thunder? One thing I also didn't get why Arnav just left Khushi alone in the house? He knew the predator, I mean Shyam could harm her, as he let him go free.
First when the show was aired I was actually scared for Khushi, though I knew Arnav would come to rescue her. But didn't expect that he would do filmy stuffs with flower.
He could do more classy stuffs to impress his inexorable lady love and he also didn't had to face his obnoxious family.

Hello dear girls.. wish could be here more..

The moment I hate the most in this entire thing is Khushi trying to push away the rose petals with her feet. I am not sure why , but makes me very uncomfortable to see her do that. I understand Khushi was uncomfortable because the family was acting all weirdly hyper, forgetting that this was after all a married couple living in Shantivan. Still I really wish they did not show her doing that. It felt like she was ashamed of ASR's gesture, which did not sit well with me. And the way she almost stealthily tries to push away the petals was very immature.

Rhea, I thoroughly understand and appreciate your thought...Khushi's reaction could potentially come across as rather insensitive..as if she didn't care for the flowers he brought.. but I wouldn't blame that girl in this specific instance..I dont think she was disrespecting her man's love or his flowers here... it is a cultural thing, where public display of affections esp of man- woman are not much seen/ appreciated..at least the way it used to be when I was in my land...and she is jad ke bahut kareeb as we talked... close to her roots..she was only embarrassed at the sudden intruders and it was only an involuntary reaction, almost a symbolic gesture to express her discomfort at their intimacy being in public view...as if she wishes all this to disappear instantly from the family's view.. may be even her/ they both...I am fine she being shown doing that...

I agree with that. Given her background, it was quite natural for her to behave that way. It's like when we are nervous we may crack knuckles, or gaze on the ground shuffling feet or fiddling with our clothes and stuff. I found her's to be more of a nervous reaction. 😃
