Indi,
Was almost in half sleep last evening when I heard and left comments. here I go again..
First HUGE thanks to reintroducing the song to me. I heard it earlier... but never really realized how beautiful it is...I miss the radio days perhaps... where its primary our audible senses working /treated so that we appreciate every tiny bit as opposed to current audiovisual where some attention is taken away by the video medium. I feel absolutely guilty if I miss out a good one.. so yes.. it was a very very pleasing flying love song...I am almost jealous of that music arrangement... Vishal Bharadwaj.. that electric guitar and cello bits.. there seem to be a 70s Rock , me not much knowledgeable in that.. with a contemporary touch...
you are right the word choice of harkat is so well done..reminding me of Khushi's self confession shayad ye "nadani" hum kar baithe...sorry spoke too much about the song.. this is how I feel when I discover a new song that treats my senses..it certainly belonged to asr and khushi..thanks for bringing both together...
I can rant rave about guest house all day... the epicenter of this love story lied there I thought...he certainly most direly wanted to resuscitated her in that GH bedroom just like he did on hill top without exactly knowing why and what in the former case.. he just couldn't leave her...he went home and raved her name instead of lavanya's. As you said he was always torn between right and wrong even while being a beast and Guest house where he unknowingly played with her life it was like a final nail in coffin for all the weeks of introspection. he still doesn't know why it should feel wrong, but he realized it was wrong.. and as we always rave beauty of asr is his sincere admissions..
His journey from guest house to the GH verandah is what makes this love tale a dreamy romance for me..yes his realization as mamiji mockingly say khushi kumara gupta... the guilt I crept in... that permeated, proliferated... monstrously..
and as shallow as I may sound.. I love it when Khushi says "koi tho aaye" and just then his driving down in panic.. truly dramatic heroic perhaps.. but suited my hero... i am with you sitting there maaroing seetee. i must see these episoeds again... thanks for reminding me of that moment. actually, let's do a guest house fest one of these days. what say. all of us in that falling imarat with the man falling badly and teh girl showing gussa, making him abs her own... uff those shoves and pushes... and his counter attack...
How much I loved your connection to the nafrat, mohabbat.. very nice interpretation...
thanks for that vm and write up... very nice slow motions when she turns away and his arm kiss
I leave it here indi... as I should at some point..
