Indi, my heart is pounding, the blood pulsating through every capillary, vein, artery throughout my body. There is something in your video...I don't know if it is the speed of it or what?... but the slow movement and that momentary pause when he kisses her forearm...just did me in! This is so beautiful and that was one of the best consmmation scenes I have ever seen with clothes on. You can actually see and feel the uniting of this couple and their mind, body and souls. Brilliant!😳

cyn, hugs... thanks.

something about that love making... completely intoxicating. even with clothes off i am rarely moved, but this one... every watch. there were so many times i thought, oh just go and do what needs to be done, move a little, surprise me, kiss her. and i so wanted to see him take off that waist chain. to touch her skin as i knew he would...

i am glad to read you are done in.

i have been dead for a while.

they take me to dream spaces where there's a crazy weird freedom.

i did slow the speed there and when she turned away... a few other places... the song was the right slow sensual feel with a sophistication to the words... a languid drenched loving.

then he carried her gently and took her home. when he had settled her in comfortably he saw her hand refused to let him go.
and while leaving, that puzzled haunted longing look from the window. she had entered his heart and mind in a different way now, something in him ached.

I loved reading your reply to Indu. That above, those days were magical, wasn't it? His heart gave in, maybe he himself didn't realize it, or if he did, wanted to deny it to himself. And the gussa would comeout, making him spew cruel words. The result been the sheen of tears in her eyes would do him in.

thanks, kizh,

those were abs beautiful days.

spew cruel words.

sounds so good when the mind knows who is the spewer. and every time, he'd cave in and get deeper into the messy feeling. well written moments and then expressed by actors who just didn't bother with limits... one of the toughest things to portray that slightly unreal sounding character and not start looking really stilted and silly.

guest house.

so much lying there. made the connection with that desperate rush to save her and aana toh th hi just this morning...

when at dargah she had called him, he did turn around and let her waste many minutes of his time... though soon he would tell lavanya there were very few people who he allowed to waste ten minutes of his time.

okay hyperventilating remembering that suave sexy abs devil.

but guest house, changed something in him, didn't it?

till then she was this extraordinarily irritating girl who got under his skin.

he had even been struck by her beauty.

and when the car went toward her in the rain he had to come dashing out to save her... he had no time to think or plan... he acted. and he wondered later why it was that for the first time he felt something he was doing was not right.

but guest house was different. did you see his face as he heard that the building would collapse any minute and also that khushi wasn't home?

the instant panic that seized him.

you could feel his heart race, his gut almost collapse.

that whole journey to the guest house, the look up at the building, the run, the frenetic energy.

and unutterably beautifully the first time he called out to the girl who murmurred around his heart already.

khushi.

khushiii.

and when he found her, it was as if at last he could breathe. the holding out of his hand and pulling her up, the look at her in that second's pause in the race out of madness... the whole world seemed to stop. then the physical tussle with her... all through he felt and felt and felt. a tear fell on his hand, a tear on his hand from her bangles.

she passed out in his arms and he just had to push back the lock of hair tenderly, stroke her innocent cheek, lost in her... not even aware that he was.

then he carried her gently and took her home. when he had settled her in comfortably he saw her hand refused to let him go.

and while leaving, that puzzled haunted longing look from the window. she had entered his heart and mind in a different way now, something in him ached.

at home, he was restless... staring at the cut in his hand, restless till he was sure she was fine.

he would have apologised but she gave him no chance. and when she yelled his anger had to be aroused. but he was feeling a powerful regret didn't you feel?

and something else.

the only way he could respond then was with gussa. his good friend.

when a drop of his blood fell on her forehead i found it silly and melodramatic. but this morning i remembered the single tear in the back of his palm and something seemed to click and tell a full story.

aana toh tha hi started very clearly perhaps in guest house... though he had no idea then.

the story was not written completely when guest house got written and maybe the tear drop and blood don't connect in the writer's mind... but in me today, they did... though the blood i still don't like.

indu, such joy it is at times just to sit back think of ipk, the unfolding of a stunning feeling and where it takes us ordinary human beings.

of course arnav singh raizada would never be called ordinary.

Indi,
Was almost in half sleep last evening when I heard and left comments. here I go again..
First HUGE thanks to reintroducing the song to me. I heard it earlier... but never really realized how beautiful it is...I miss the radio days perhaps... where its primary our audible senses working /treated so that we appreciate every tiny bit as opposed to current audiovisual where some attention is taken away by the video medium. I feel absolutely guilty if I miss out a good one.. so yes.. it was a very very pleasing flying love song...I am almost jealous of that music arrangement... Vishal Bharadwaj.. that electric guitar and cello bits.. there seem to be a 70s Rock , me not much knowledgeable in that.. with a contemporary touch...
you are right the word choice of harkat is so well done..reminding me of Khushi's self confession shayad ye "nadani" hum kar baithe...sorry spoke too much about the song.. this is how I feel when I discover a new song that treats my senses..it certainly belonged to asr and khushi..thanks for bringing both together...
I can rant rave about guest house all day... the epicenter of this love story lied there I thought...he certainly most direly wanted to resuscitated her in that GH bedroom just like he did on hill top without exactly knowing why and what in the former case.. he just couldn't leave her...he went home and raved her name instead of lavanya's. As you said he was always torn between right and wrong even while being a beast and Guest house where he unknowingly played with her life it was like a final nail in coffin for all the weeks of introspection. he still doesn't know why it should feel wrong, but he realized it was wrong.. and as we always rave beauty of asr is his sincere admissions..
His journey from guest house to the GH verandah is what makes this love tale a dreamy romance for me..yes his realization as mamiji mockingly say khushi kumara gupta... the guilt I crept in... that permeated, proliferated... monstrously..
and as shallow as I may sound.. I love it when Khushi says "koi tho aaye" and just then his driving down in panic.. truly dramatic heroic perhaps.. but suited my hero...
How much I loved your connection to the nafrat, mohabbat.. very nice interpretation...
thanks for that vm and write up... very nice slow motions when she turns away and his arm kiss
I leave it here indi... as I should at some point..

Lovely indi especially the VM,👏
Beautiful song with their beautiful moment, just loved the pace of the scene , slow and serene...enveloped in sensuous passion which they have always but today is to show each other how to embrace it .incredibly poignant and hot and sexy and sweet

Their hands grip each other and he kisses that arm where he always gives her mark...his fingers in anger that why does he feel so much raw passion in his for this girl and that passion still marks her his and then he marks her with his sorry...because he has hurt her...as it hurts him.

He takes her with him like swinging and she swings with him and hugs him finally, giving in completely , and today he opens her dori with respect which once he has ripped by scattering pearls and he knew how much those mean to her if not he would never gave her by hugging her and keeping her in his cocoon. He asks her permission this time as he never asked on that dreadful night and dragged her but not today...but she was his life then and she is his life today more than ever...for loving forever...

How much I loved your connection to the nafrat, mohabbat.. very nice interpretation...

thanks, sir.

and stop apologising for going on about anything, i am the master of going on, aren't i?

gulzar, vishal bharadwaj and mohit chauhan just do some sort of enchantment there. i like all the songs of kaminey actually. and as kizh was saying, vb very underrated as composer. listen to him sing meri arzoo kaminey... beautiful. some day, an asr vm on that.

harkat and nadani... i see what you mean and it's so right. to use an everyday word in a sense slightly or very different and give it life again while slamming the meaning to another level... that is really poetic.

loved your guest house words... yeah the journey was from there to the verandah... it was really all in there. stunning. heart stopping. not at all soap. powerful story telling.

i so wish the sound malfunction of imovie i can learn to fix... but yeah, even with it... these two people make it work. gah, look at his face in repose as he goes to kiss her arm.

hi mehreen,

thank you so much... haan, you were getting married over these days? lovely lovely. aww hubby amused by new patni's love. so cute, so part of our lives a show has become, hasn't it. that clean beautiful feel of the two people on screen i am sure had something to do with it... and they could tell such a power story of love. i am convinced those who watch and love ipk will find reasons to make their romances, their marriages work, maybe even when it feels difficult. marriage nor love is a done deal... it is lived and done every day... i will always be grateful to ipk for bringing that so beautifully centrestage in a world that talks mainly money and matlab, and saying it with the most romantic and hope filled way.

happy you liked it all.
