oh mere dil ki chain...

that movie was kind of different and a swing in it that kept it away from the usual usual. something smooth and jazz in it... must have been 13 when i saw it, felt different, a little "adult"? ... rajesh khanna only could do that despite the girth the total filminess or maybe because of the latter, there was helen n it too and some things that made you see things differently... of course have forgotten all details now. a tortured man... not the normal phillum hero.

tanuja was lovely too.

another world, kishore kumar, rajesh khanna...

you are right, love is all of that and to hell with sounding filmi, it is what it is. does actually give you some funny power, a thing to survive, a joy to see the world lighter with more hope and possibility.

Remember watching these movies on good ole doordarshan! Ha, the chitrahaar days, I remember getting up early on Sundays just to watch a show which played old music, I think it was called rangoli.

Oh yeah! And "Chhaya Geet" on All India Radio late nights...
I'd even watch Krishi Darshan cos it was followed by something exciting always😆

We used to watch everything from the time that gol gol doordarshan thingy used to start!!!

They used to have good serials too. Remember there was an adaptation of pride & prejudice, had some good looking people in it! Kitu gidwani was in it, I think. Those were the days!

sweet thought? ladki... if you only knew the images going through my head while making it.

i love this love story with its many shades and many flavours, they are intense and yet funny, sexy yet innocent, hot yet there's friendship... one could go on... the phone calls noted their many sides... in a way fitting that he told her on the phone. an ajeeb dastan of love these calls.
