and the rest is history..

...Who celebrates anniversaries for a show gone off air for more than an year... very morose analogy would be celebrating someone's birthday after their death...but they are celebrated.. to those special ones who are timeless.. who make history... so did this love story!

They were both perfect and imperfect in their own ways...then they started falling in love.. one of the or the most beautiful depictions of that undefinable state I came across...they remained in that transition state for a long time.. like in a chemical reaction, reactants and products are always accessible, but it's the hardest to isolate a transition state intermediate...to catch reactants WHILE they transition into products... What exactly IPK did... their continuous introspective struggles with themselves and with the other... the ebbs and tides of their emotions...beautifully caught...

Hum ko ab thak aashiqui ka who zamana yaad hai...

A thirst for a classic romance seems quenched for a life time ...like someone's hunger is thoroughly satisfied.. whose taste buds are treated to endless feast. I found my permanent niche.. here in the world of arnav and khushi... for hamesha!

just another babble ...😊

Indu that first paragraph I can't begin to tell you how much I agree with what you write. I still can not wrap my head around what the actors accomplished.

Enjoying each word.. keep babbling..

Katelyn thank you for sharing these. I looked at the first Bandana pic and thought it is an old interview so didn't click on it immediately. Now I finally watched all. Can't believe that is Khushi's amma talking in that video. And hello hi bye bye mami shouldn't talk in such good English. Thanks!

"The greatest love stories are not those in which love is only spoken, but those in which it is acted upon."

Three years ago on this very day, an unforgettable and unthinkable love story began which made every one spell bounded with their each episode, enthralling scenes and a very gripping story.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? What should I name this name? This intriguing title and promising promos hooked everyone and glued Indian telly viewers at the 8 PM time slot for more than one and the half year. Watching this drama became a part of daily routine, counting minutes and eagerly waiting for the next twist in this spell bounded love story. The most attracting feature of this drama was that it was not an ordinary saas bahu serial, it was a journey of two flawed people Arnav and Khushi to love who were poles apart, having different notions for life and relationships.

Arnav Singh Raizada, a hardheaded, callous, ruthless, arrogant, a self-made businessman who detested the idea of love because that beautiful feeling made his mother leave him and sister alone in the world. The suicide of his mother, the cheat of his father and the deceit of his chachaji led the darkness inside his soul and captured his golden heart. His sole world was his sister Anjali and just one thought ran in his mind, money. In his own words

"Paisa mera shook nahin paisha hai."

Gorgeous collage Javeria ⭐️

"Tum Bholna mat kyunkey main Yaad rakhoon ga"

ASR didn't forget the horrible moment of his life when he and his limp sister were thrown on the streets penniless. That moment Arnav Malik died and from its ashes Arnav Singh Raizada rose to conquer the world. That Arnav Singh Raizada didn't waste his time crying over a death of his mother, he focused on the realities of life and built an empire from a scratch with the help of his maternal relatives. Arnav was a change man but he didn't forget his past. The wounds of past were still fester even after twelve years of his mother death when Arnav Singh Raizada came back to his birth city Lucknow to proclaimed back his rights which were snatched from him by his cunning and heartless uncle. The vow he made to himself in his teens was fulfilled; he won the deal and successfully made his place among the most successful businessmen and richest people of the country. But in this race to achieve best, the real, kind, lively Arnav got lost. He was still restless and the feeling that something's missing wasn't letting him breath peacefully and he did at which he was best, avoid and concentrated on success.

Well I'm going home

Downhearted and hoping

Most days I try

My best to put on a brave face

But inside

My bones are cold and my heart breaks

But all the while

Something's keeping me safe and alive

But so many people are looking to me

To be strong and to fight

But I'm just surviving

And I may be weak but I'm never defeated

And I won't give up like this

I will be given strength

Now that I've found it

Nothing can take that away

And I'll keep believing

In clouds with that sweet silver lining

Loneliness, unrest and disinterest in life were clearly caught in his eyes.

Arnav was successful but not happy!

He was rich but not content!

This gif is brilliant ⭐️⭐️

His icy cold life and dormant heart was upheaval by a bubbly, cute, cheerful and lively girl who penetrated in his heart the moment she fell in his arms. The epic scene of their first fall embarked his journey to the second chance towards life, trust, belief and love. Khushi Kumari Gupta was the epitome of kindness, simplicity and beauty who took her decision using Dil unlike Arnav who always prefer facts and his Harvard mind. She was titaliya who used to flutter without a care, her bright and beautiful presence lit up other people dark and dull world.

wow Javeria what edits! That humare naam mein bhi A hai my very very favourite..

She was an orphan like Arnav who could do anything for her family, even could end her life without thinking twice; she strongly believes in live and let other live. She was an ordinary girl, who created her own sapnoon ki jaisey khoobsurat dunyah in her new family, dreamt of simple and lovely life with her rajkumaar and was a smart, mature woman. Never to bow down spirit and courage made her special to be get notice by the great ASR. He was captivated by the personality and courage of a simplest girl who has no aukaat and wasn't classy and sophisticated. Khushi told him the difference between his business and personal life. She forced him to think about his meaningless rules and notions he created for relationships especially for marriage. He always challenged the innocent Khushi who dared to stand and spoke in front of him. ASR was losing for the first time and that too in front of a mere small town girl. Khushi was the only one who made Arnav listen and understand and was a perfect match for his life partner. Khushi beauty and innocence arouse feelings of desires and increased his heart beats which was beautifully presented on their Dewali almost kiss. That day Arnav was surprise of the feelings which he never felt for any woman in his life. He was more of a scared than confuse and broke Khushi's heart by shaking her sapnoon ki dunyah because he was afraid of the consequences indulging in these new emotions which were gripping him tight. They tried a lot to avoid each other but an unknown dhagga intertwined their hearts and lives which made impossible for them to live without each other. Khushi was becoming a drug to which Arnav was getting addicted to.

Arnav and Khushi were an odd pair but they were perfect to be soul mates. Khushi was the miracle which nani and Anjali prayed to happen in their chotte life, the one who gave him enough strength to fight the demons of his heart and move forward in his life.

"A true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A soul mate's purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacle and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in" -Elizabeth Gilbert

👏 👏

The moment Khushi fell in Arnav's arm, love knocked on their heart but still I cannot pin point the exact moment Khushi actually fell in love with Arnav. Was it when he bought pigeons for an upset girl? Was it when he beat the goons who dare to push sick Khushi? Was it when he quietly paid Khushi father medical expenses, Khushi was angry but she like his help too? Was it one he gave her his shoulder to cry? Was it when he participated in Khushi cute and stupid plans to bring his jeeji and Akash together? Was it when they passionately danced together on Teri Meri forgetting the world as an excuse to complete her performance? Was it when he leashed his anxiety coated with anger, he was terrified with the thought that something bad happened to her? Was it when he started realizing that his di words for soul mates and sansein rookjaeingi are actually true which led both to suffer from acidity and teez dharkanein? Was it when he ordered a truck load of pattals for helping Khushi in Lunch? These all moments intensify the love which was started quietly in her heart.

"Pyaar tu bas kabhi bhi ho jata hai"

Every viewer was in love with the sweet, caring, flirtatious and naughty Arnav during Akash and Payal marriage celebrations, he was a perfect Rajkumaar. The awesome performance of Barun and Sanayah, the idea of watching two people falling and experiencing the beautiful emotion of love was very enthralling. But love stories won't get great until they are tested.

"Yeh ishq nahin asaan bus itna samajh lijye, ek aagg ka darya hai or dhoob ke jana hai."

Javeria this is lovely. Dil se likha hua. Dil tak pahuch raha. that you for writing. The pictures you chose are perfect. Beyond gorgeous. Thank you for posting on main page Indi di. I had no words and felt blank. Saw all the posts here and at midnight sat to write a short paragraph. Had to get up by 6, have not seen any episode in over 2 weeks, head swirling whirling with other unwanted stuff, so was pretty certain it would be short. By 1:00 I had this whole long memoir ready 😆 ..

And he has three films lined up?!!! Excuse my use of exclamation mark.. The occasion calls for it so hope you forgive this slip at this crazy exciting moment..

And I love it when I get to be your twin sister.. 🤗

IPK, the brush colors my life with shades

6th june 2011, was the day since when my life has been changed.

My inner rambling stumbled to a halt when I tried to find the reason. It's because on that day Arnav and Khushi entered to my life officially. Can't believe myself for loving a TV soap in that extent!

Iss pagalpanko mein kya naam doon?

Iss Pyaar ko kya naam doon is not just a TV show but my oxygen to breath, nourishment for my soul; a deluge of feelings that wreak havoc in my heart.

IPK taught me the meaning of love.

It taught me how love can reduce a person to anything.

IPK is a brush that colors my life with shades.

No Romeo and Juliet, no Laila-Majnu, no Heer-Ranjha, no epic love story touched my soul so deeply how Arnav and Khushi's love story did.. My life is just preoccupied with the thought of Arnav and Khushi only.

Arnav, a young devastatingly sexy tycoon, who is a turbulent ocean of conflicting emotions; who is complex, sometimes bipolar a very astute businessman, who doesn't believe in love or marriage. But he eventually became lovelorn for a small town simple, zany girl, who is extremely beautiful from inside and out.

Though Arnav loved to remain in the facade of a shrewd man, but his love for his family sure proved he was a much better human being that he let on in the world. Later his myriad love for Khushi proved that there is no other man in this word who can love a girl with so much enormity.

On the other hand Khushi is a girl with very strong ethics and values, who also loves her family immensely; who is childish but very mature when needed. She fell in love with Arnav who is just opposite to her character.

I can say if he was like fire, she was like water falling in pearlescent drops from heaven, to cool his sou. He clamed to hate her but despite that he never could get her out of his thought, always tried to be around her. He was a heartless beast but always was her savior. And finally they both broke through all the walls, hurdles, and tumult and drew to each other like a moth to flame. She was like a force of the nature who jolted him awake.

And finally the love of this star crossed lovers got it's name.

My heart felt gratitude to Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani who made Arnav and Khushi so real, lovable and enthralling. Their magical chemistry captivates me so much that I can't love any other couple besides them.

Since the day Barun landed in my TV screen from a helicopter, he had become my ASR. Since the day sanaya Irani entered the screen riding a scooty she had become my Khushi. And still they are ruling my heart as a magnificent couple called Arshi.

When Arshi comes to my TV or computer screen an involuntary smile suffuses my face, a frisson of excitement runs through my spine.

The air simmers with sensuality and desire with their presence.

My heart pounds erratically when Arnav looks at Khushi lovingly or even with rage.

My heart does somersault when he walks towards her prowlingly, causing her to take steps back involuntarily.

A million butterflies flutter their wings inside my stomach, when ASR speaks in insanely attractive timbre of his voice.

My heart spasm with pain when Arnav and Khushi cry in grief.

My mind stirs with enormous feelings when I hear the romantic or the melancholic note of rabba vey.

Arnav and Khushi's love story is sheer magic what ignites my body, cools my soul.

Arnav and Khushi's love is the greatest love story what I will cherish for my whole life. So IPK's anniversary is not just a day of celebration, I celebrate and cherish everyday for coming across to a magnificent love story called iss pyaar ko kya naam doon.

My warm thanks to Gul khan to conceive and vision Arnav and Khushi and cast Barun and Sanaya in the roles. I know if Sarun were not Arshi, I wouldn't love IPK that much.

My thanks to the whole ensemble cast and the whole crew who worked behind the camera to make such wonderful show what is so far the best show of this universe.

I always mutter a supplication under my breadth just to see Barun and Sanaya again as Arnav and khushi in season-2 of IPK.

I love this man with flower , such a goofy face and felt kind a cheesy to me😆 but yes what he said came true months later

In Lucknow you'll find some Lucknowi ways, girls in wedding finery with sneakers on their feet, men in aviators a complete visual treat, and if you think a haveli is sorely required, look there just beyond that, is that what you desired? And should you ever enter a bhoolbhulaiya only to lose your way, fear not, the man with a rose is waiting to have his say. from that very first evening, he knew what we would know some day soon, a rose is about to find her thorn, on this wonderful evening of sixth june.

Awesome Edit Supi👏⭐️

A rose is a flower that never grows alone
Along come thorns pricking the tender bone
Three years back a rose fell in his arms
Welcome to find out how they removed the thorns👏

Durga
Awww...indeed Rose never grow alone...har ek gulab ke saath ek kanta hota hai..a life lesson , a fact, bitter but truthful

has it been only three years? feels like we've known iss pyaar ko kya naam

doon? forever. was there ever a time without jalebi, without scattering

pearls, without suv, payal, mannat ki chabi, without a girl with a crooked

plait and a straight to the heart, funny, snazzy, sanka and a man with the

most exotic eyes and dammit, and a catastrophe in his heart and mind that

just wouldn't let him give a faraq for anything. did time really tick before

rabba vey? iss pyaar ko kya naam doon? was clearly no ordinary soap,

though a full blooded, large, rambling, dhakdhak giving, colourful soap it

certainly was. if the landing in the helicopter and the take of on a scooter

with "hey devi maiyya" sotto voce didn't tell you something out of the

ordinary was coming your way, then the goat certainly did. hai re nand

kissore, what's this about a goat now... well, she was the keeper and

bestower of great wealth, lakshmi ji no less; and she could talk. perhaps

not as much as the girl who loved to hear a man yell "shaat up" but she

could carry on an avid conversation as hp will happily confirm. but before

i digress, and in case you still haven't realised it, we are in a maze.

naturally, this is lucknow, 6 june remember? and it should come as no

surprise that we are now lost in the bhoolbhulaiya. for the last three years

some of us have been lurking here looking for the way out, but not till we

have found the way to the heart of the thorn where a rose blooms. the

more we lose our way, the closer we seem to get. she came out of nowhere

and fell right into his arms, he reached out and caught her and his eyes

settled on her lips... something happened. he kept her in captivity, she

pleaded to be set free, when she said what he couldn't bear to hear, he

snapped her dori... the pearls scattered, she looked back shocked, he glared

at her in raging fury. and strangely enough a string was tied forever...

on it was threaded hamesha.

khushi kumari gupta and arnav singh raizada met, fought, raved, ranted,

hated, faraq nahin padta they averred, they played, hugged, kissed, loved,

loved so much that your saansey ceased, your dhadkan wanted to be one

with someone's, nafrat couldn't take it and turned into mohabbat, and in

the meantime, there was catching and falling, gusts of wind with esoteric

knowledge, rabba vey which somehow never missed a cue, there was of

course villainy and hairan pareshaan, the labyrinth kept growing and

inviting us in... we never thought we should leave, nor did we leave a trail

of bread crumbs to show the light when we wanted to go back out... no, none of that... this was no fairy tale, this was the real sapnon ki duniya, our skd where we shivered and swooned to teri meri prem kahani and it had its own gulaab and kaanta that would hurt, draw blood, seal it with a kiss.. or almost kiss... we believed, yes we had vishwas the stars would show the way when we wanted to leave... that second last one from the left which shines the brightest maybe? but it's been only three years, we are in no rush, the rose is growing here somewhere... right in the heart of her thorn... (jadoo hai nasha hai. did not count the number of memory bands i made... those strips of visuals. just counted, there are thirty six, one for each month of the three years... did not plan it, jadoo happens. what the.)

Indi 36 stacks ...⭐️👏

A story of a Rose and a thorn in thirty six stacks
Jadu hai nasha hai madhosiyan in million pecks
passion ,lust, hate, love trolling around in one hand
Trust,Beliefs,prayers,hopes peeling layers of smacks

An awesome representation of Nafrat and Mohabbat a true face of Labyrinth within .Indeed it was sapnon ki Duniya...jisme rehna hi acha hai

kuch rishte ajeeb hi dor mein bandhe hote hai...
takrar se shuru hote hai... nafrat ke saaye mein panapte hai...
girte hai padte hai lekin qayam rehte hai
nafrat badti jati hai aur rishte ki gaath
aur gheri hoti jaati hai...
itni... ki ek din nafrat bhi aur barne se
sha
rma jati hai... aur woh rishta
sirf ek bandhan ban ke
reh jati hai...lekin sirf nafrat ka.
kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hai jaise
nafrat ke iss mahaul mein kuch toh hai...
jo humse kehta hai ki...
iss ansuni... aanjani si... ankahe se ehsaas ko
ek mauqa toh do...
par jis rishte ki neev hi nafrat par rakhi hui ho
usse kuchh bhi umeed lagana
nadani nahin toh kya hota hai?
aur shayad yeh nadani hum kar baithe
warn
a kyun itne nafrat ke bawajud
hume aap ki yaad aa rahi hai?

kyun hum aap se ladte hain, jhagadte hain...
lekin apke jaane ke baad aap hi ki raah dekhte hain...
hawao se baatein karte hain

OK this is ghazab...mindblowing, edit 👏👏👏 and thnx for bringing the above words of Khushi , whole IPK is in there

"Khushi, you forgot what day it is today... I hate you, dammit!", "Hum bhi aap se, i hate you dammit. That's why I've resed a place at the poolside for the star crossed lovers' show this evening, samjhe aap!"

No one understood nafrat the way you did, Iss Pyaar Ko kya Naam Doon?
And of course, Mohabbat.😊

Amazing job in the front page ladies.
All the write ups by Faiqa, Cynthia, Indi, Durga, Horizon, Rhea and Javeria are awesome. I guess I didn't miss anybody. Plz pardon me if I missed any.
Read every single one.
Who wrote the significance of number-6? It must be Faiqa. Wow great to know about the significance of number-6.
Faiqa, how you wrote the story of IPK from the perception of Rose and thorn was so thoughtful.
Supi, After a long time got to see your fantabulous edits.
Lots of brilliant edits by all the blasters made the thread spectacular.
