Yes it was simple, there was nothing extra-ordinary about it! Yet, it was something that we could connect to, something ethereal yet simple! It's simplicity was as such that it could make you cry when the male lead was crying or when the heroine was in pain, it could make you wince in anger when you see the villain, but mostly it would make you feel lively and happy with the characters.

Today, when i see the fever of IPK spreading around, i can understand that it had something special, something that words would probably fail to describe!

Yes, i cried like every IPK fan when it ended, because secretly that was the only platform where i could discuss my craze with a show...Those times were the best of my life; waiting for promos till late night, going through all the stories/vms/ posts! But today, i don't cry, i really understand now how meaningful that quote was, because really my life would have been boring/ without any spice without IPK...That show gave a friends that mean a lot to me!

SO, yes it was simple
So simple that we could connect,
So simple that today for all IPK fans simplicity is more important than extraordinary things!

I read a fan wrote that IPK is her one and only!True that, Only once did i try to watch another serial and after 2 epis i quit, IPK was always more appealing to me that other extravagant love stories!
Was it the chemistry, on screen or off screen
Or was it coz of the whole cast,
I will never be able to decipher, but for sure it was a Saga and damn was it a beautiful one!

thanks for reading and those memories... all about that unique connect, wasn't it? each one of us felt it. no matter what our age and things. what you say at the end, always a quandary. of course that chemistry was essential... and for me, barun was essential, yet, they all, each one of the cast and raju singh's music, and the direction, they all counted, all made ipk more and more. 😃

horizon, about that loving him 🤗. such fabulous bits to him. and awful ones. i loved the whole package. every bit of him thrilled me. sometimes i wondered how i could take his terrible anger, his arrogance, his ridiculous behaviour the night he saw her in another man's arms. yet i could, because all the pieces fit perfectly. in that situation i could see him doing that... everything about him was specific... and so real. there was a boldness in his character, a streak of extreme individuality, a maddening obduracy and complete fearlessness... plus that deep tender heart capable of endless love and the lack of guile, a refreshing take on life and society... oh i do miss him a lot. wonder what he's have said if he saw this thread...

nothing and noone can make me feel like arshi did,that magic cannot be recreated

What IPKKND was to us, it's TRUE fans, will anyone EVER understand? I don't know... that is why I didn't want Arnav to die and Khushi to love another man. You don't watch Juliet fall in love with someone other than Romeo. You don't watch Heer fall in love with someone other than Rahnja?? In the same way, you don't watch Khushi fall in love with anyone other than Arnav! To me and to millions of fans who loved them madly, they ARE the ideal of love. Just like those other legendary couples. The ones that died together, rather than live without the other!!

So to say after 400 episodes that Khushi will love another man just did NOT ring true. That is why I didn't want it to happen. I would have done the same if it was the other way around. Arnav could NEVER love another women the way he loved Khushi. He could never have committed to her the way he did to Khushi. So it would not have rung true at all.

I still miss this show so much. I miss ARSHI so much. I even miss the rest of the characters coz they were all loved by us. But I still don't regret that Arnav and Khushi got their HAMESHA! Coz that is what they deserved. Yes we deserve to have watched them for longer. But more than that, THEY deserved to spend forever together! So I am glad that at the expense of missing them, I still got to see them get their HAMESHA!

Arnav and Khushi. Always!

you are so right, asr and khushi are together and will always remain together.

and one of the reasons they will always mean the ultimate love to me is because they both lived... and did all the regular mundane things of life and yet remained in love... never jaded, never faded. it takes courage to live and do life sometimes.

a show like this which gets remembered and celebrated actively long after it's over, one would have thought would have been treated with some care and nurtured; well that did not happen... and why so will remain also a mystery... hamesha.

the acrimony messed up many things. the very fact that death of a character was considered makes me shudder.

i actually started to write a story which looked at the very thing and wanted to see what would happen to asr khushi then... well it was impossible to kill anyone, that's what i found out.

an unimaginably powerful idea and property... asr khushi.

maybe some day soon someone will realise that and we shall see them together again. if not, there are 398 episodes to mull over in many ways and i will just continue to do that.

this was something so rare really...
