I think at first he said "humain" to refer to both of them as independent son/ daughter to their respective mothers.. becos he knew Khushi always believed her mother to be one among the stars, and so must be communicating with her in her own way... so he thought Khushi must knew by now how her mother felt about her... but since he subconsciously acknowledges Khushi to be a better person than him, there is NO need to worry for khushi if her mother would be happy or not with her today.. where as he is certain that his mother will NOT be happy with him.. so first he refers as "humain" as they both being the orphan kids to their dead parents.. then separates him self "kya meri maa mujhe dekh kar" as he feels he is different/ imperfect where as she is not... .

And, Khushi's answer an implicit "NO", doesn't hurt him, as he himself knows it, and he is rather at peace to communicate that imperfection with her .. and she SEES that STRUGGLE in him between that Shaitan and Raj kumar first hand... she could almost read him saying "I know what I did to you is wrong.. but I can't help it.. thats just me".. and remains the reason why she is able to forgive this man.. as she ALWAYS SAW THAT STRONG CONSCIENCE in him as she said later "hume patha hai hamari har ek aansoo aap dil ko hazar bar thes pahunchata hai"..

Twinkling Hearts

ArshiH ... Love love the maanwan thandiyan chawan ...

"Maanwan Thandiyan chawan" [mothers are like cool shades of trees].It is saying mothers hold kids hands for a while but their hearts forever.She is blessing on us from heaven on Earth and whose blessings always follow her child ,ALWAYS! As Emily Dickson says ,"A mother is the one to whom you hurry when you are troubled'".and that is so true in Arnav's case.He always seeks solace in his mother's lap in the GARDEN after her but still looking for love like her as mom's hug lasts long after she lets go and he's been missing that since he was 14.

A brother and a sister shared their moments of spending time with her and talked over her "Nishani" [mark] her kangan left for them.The noise of which was so peaceful for them as Mom's Lori[song to make kid's sleep].The peace holding such a piece in hands gets broken when Anjali triggered a scorching pain of ocean in him.

The bond between these two in the beginning episodes was a treat to watch ... He's a little bossy but sly as mindful of her, she a pampered sister, a surrogate mother ... His closets confidant ... Yet he shields the worst of his pain even from her ...

Mother's caring and loving words for her DIL hold such a big meaning'...

"dihan rakhiye ga aur savdhan rahiye ga..humare chote ki naak peh bohat sara gussa rehta hai..aur dil mein bohat sara pyar..gussa bardhat karna and pyar sood samet lautana"

I love the whole dialogue ... So Like a proud mom talking a little cautiously about her angry, bossy son with a heart of gold ..

Teary eyes but determination of showing sister his strength can't make him weak.Anjali"agar Maan tumhain aaj dekhti tou'''...pehchan bhi nahi paati mujhe'..Arnav completes it and leaves before the convulsion traps him and on his way out bumps into Khushi ...Her smile vanishes with his tears and they both share a moment of understanding with each other...She knows the fact through Anjali and knows he needs her''...

Khushi reaches to poolside and reads his pain written on her face as she can't take her eyes off of him.But she wants to leave him alone by obeying his wish his DEAL for not talking to him."Tou kya woh sach mein tare ban jante hain"'.....["so do they really become stars?"]

These innocent words just grab her heart,"Baat sach ya jhoot ki nahin hai baat yaqeen ki hai"[ Its all about Faith not truth or lie] .She comes close to him and they both look at the stars,twinkling hearts, their parents .

Pause here:Is he the same ASR who threw her out by saying :tum samjh sakti ho keh mein kya mehsoos kar sakta hoon"[You know how do I feel]on his parents' anniversary.

Beautiful ... Beautiful connection ArshiH ... He seeks the same girl he thought had no understanding of his loss

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS

Their connection with these twinkling hearts is since from the beginning,from Sheesh Mahal to Delhi night [1^st tu hi bata mere Maula]...Where his sis told him "eik din woh larki ayegi...[One day a girl will come in your life...] till Tota huwa tara night after she left him and he wishes for her to come back and Di asks his wish in her prayer ,"aisa jeevan saathi mile jo inke sab dukh door karde.."[a life partner who can relieve him from all the pains] ...journey of Di's wish becomes that partner's heartbeat who makes him realize these twinkling tiny bodies have heart of someone who thinks her deceased parents are shining on her in between there and not just a silly romantic nonsense which became a sizzling romantic moment during Diwali night under the stars..These silent communication tools brought them together and provided them strength when they needed each other the most.These silent night riders got their heartbeat during telepathy of their confession .There are many many moments of their silent communication through these twinkling hearts but the most amazing was when he smiles upon her command as if she says "look Arnavji your Mom wants you to just SMILE."

ArshiH ... A brilliant tie up ... All their conversation under the night sky ... And he never saw what she will show him tonight ... Do you have any comments on why every moon was a full moon ?

and above all these became the witness of their union in the farmhouse where his belief changed with her and he brought his MOTHER right next to her .

real meaning of life only reaches to some. Payal is one of them ,in her bitter experience of broken marriage and then humiliation by Mamiji she can't cross the limits.Akash has no experience of that life as he can't see the true picture of her heart.Of coarse its easy for him to say that "pyar yeh sab dekh keh to nahin kya jata..pyar tou bas ho jata hai"[Love does not know any boundaries..it just happens] His thinking that he can seek forgiveness and love by giving gifts might work in some cases but not for practical Payal. Ok didn't like wind thing with these either just like the other day with Shyam CVs is slacking here.This mehsoos is only for ARSHI...Period..

His grouchiness ,his gussa, his ego melts away with tears in the memory of his Mother which in return melts away the DEAL in between them and Arnav,"Kya woh humain dekh keh khush hain"[are they happy to see us?] Bingo '..He wants her to say yes as he wants that confirmation that her parents are happy to see them together from her and then "kya meri maa mujhe dekh kar khush hai.."[Is my mother happy to see me?] He knows she believes in these twinkling hearts and he wants her to say YES'.

ArshiH ... The way I saw this scene .. I felt he wants her to say yes but he knows it can not be a yes ... His dialogue of perchance bhi na pati ... He longs to know his mother is happy to see him ... But how can she be, when he himself is not happy ...

And she confirms it all and much more by mingling her teary hearts with him'.till she couldn't take it any more.Her concern is always Arnav's welfare just his is hers.,"aap theek tou hain na"[are u sure u ok] .. She leaves making sure he is fine but his following peaceful eyes are not ready to leave her trail yet as these just got to know how to twinkle''He is at peace ,she is talking with him'.He knows she cares about him.He knows her eyes never lies when he asks..."Kya woh humain daikh keh khush hain.."[Are they happy to see us...} He asks permission from her parents through her today...as this is his first introduction to him and then he asks about his mother...Just fabulous CV .Hata off to you....👏

also the msg she had written..he was already doing all that to khushi...venting his anger on her..and she giving just unconditional comfort in return...he has still to show her that love filled heart..and her moms words made him realise the wrong he is doing to the righful owner of her Kangans.

I dunno if I feel the same way about the kangan's ... He does not hold the same importance to such things as Di does... Even after the forced marriage, it was Di who Insisted repeated that he make her wear them ...

Di is the one who he adored after his mom...but today he needed someone else...

and where his mom and inner feelings/emotions come...there no one can take Khushis place,his urge for her closeness made him let go of his ego and Deal and all he wanted was to go with her to the celestial land where he could feel his mom...he was ready to believe in everyword she said...felt comfort in her closeness...felt contented hearing her words and wanted her to say YES that their parents are happy to see them TOGETHER ...

Exactly ... Yakeen ... He is ready to believe what she says ...

no pretense..no artificial shell..no anger...just a little vulnerable, sensitive and innocent boy who wants just Khushi to alleviate his painful past...unknowingly he left Di,s comfort and advanced towards her as she only holds the KEY to his happiness.

She completed her bandaging on his wounded soul by asking "Aap theek to hai na" and he more at peace with himself affirmed and his eyes followed her till she is out of sight.

Each star in the sky symbolizes one reason why I love you.

Ipoona, brilliant. yes that was what it exactly was!! He just needed to talk to her in that hr of distress where all the charades.. falsifications...egoistic squabbles vanished into thin air!

But did her answer hurt him in the end, just the way he was hurt to say it to himself with Anjali "pehchan bhi nahi payegi"? But it didn't look like.. as he knew what her answer would be.. he seemed to have found some solace in sharing his helpless imperfection with her.

Really that's what it was ... A way to share ... Love the bold ... See what it would be to be a part of her blind belief ... An oblivion of a different kind ... Not a numbing ... But a fantastical kind ...

To me it felt like, you know how you want something to be so true so badly, but know it is not possible.. To me, it felt like that... That wants so badly to believe that his mom is happy to see him ... But knows deep in his heart that there is no way that is true ... And he knows that the man his mom wanted was not the man he had been with Khushi ... Dunno if I made sense ... 🥱

It's like you stole all my thoughts! Reading your post, I felt like all my emotions and thoughts about the episode found wings in your words - I would never have been able to express my thoughts so well!

I always felt that the characters of Arnav and Khushi were meant to complete each other, like 2 sides of the coin. One does not exist without the other, and together they make one completed and fulfilled soul. Individually, they are 2 imperfect individuals who if not at a conscious level, at least at a subconscious level, are very well aware of their faults, insecurities and shortcomings.

Arnav, in this episode, knew that he in his current persona, does not and cannot measure up to his mother's expectations and aspirations. Anjali was, is and always will be his devotion and responsibility, but he never felt the need to match or rise up to her expectations. He always wanted his di happy, but that devotion never prompted him to change. But his growing love for Khushi makes him want to be a better man.

And though he keeps taunting Khushi about her 'aukat', that was just a shield to safeguard his bruised soul. He subconsciously always considered her an equal. It's her tears that bother him, her smile that lights up his soul, her approval that soothes his heart, and it's only with her he could share his feelings of inadequacy without even blinking an eye!

This love story was never about two opposites getting attracted, it was from the beginning to end a journey of two incomplete souls finding their way to each other through the internal maze of their own imperfections!
