You couldn't have described it better...yes that is rare rare acting.

I find a new emotion in many scenes even though am watching it for the gazillionth time.

I wonder Everytime what must have been going on in Barun's mind when he was doing a particular scene.

Sometimes The expressions he gives look like insignificant but they add life to the scene..

Be it a twitch in the jaw or a flutter of eyelashes or just a slight turn of head or a small gulp..I can go on forever!!

I cannot thank Barun enough for giving me ASR <3

One of my favourite scenes is the 'I hate you' scene after the contract wedding..It's etched in my mind forever..Barun and Sanaya were beyond brilliant there and they always leave me staring in awe at their brilliant acting!

what you say about those seemingly insignificant little things that add life, so true. 👏 👏 i too have wondered at times, what he could have been imagining when doing the things he did. and to be romantic but as asr... tough tough.

love i hate you... on blast from teh past we wrote miles on it, including songs... it was that which kept them together... when love seemed impossible, but there it stayed taking another name. it was called hate.

i watch every day too, but on the net... never did download... so wish we could have a dvd set. tv is fairly redundant these days he he. never was it great, but at least i could get a feel of india watching the weird stuff, now, impossible. just can't see anything. aisa kyun hota hai... 😳

On more thing when he brought Khushi out of the diya's circle and was looking at her with so much peace,content,satisfaction,happiness(I don't know if I chose the right word) and suddenly La came and Khushi just quickly took her hand from his and with in a minute his expressions changed to dislike,displeasure.Bang on Barun 👏 the change was so smooth and visible to tell what ASR was feeling at those moments.

I have been following Barun since he acted in his drama" Shraddaha" and "Baat humari pakki hai". Barun progressed in his acting skills but I wasn't so sure until I watched him IPKKND. His eyes spoke of indifference and scared away Khushi.
Barun's acting throughout the whole drama was fabulous but the scene I love and which for me clearly depicts his acting skills, character and nature of ASR was episode 24 and promo no. 4. I don't know why I still like a lunatic watch this episode and promo.
Even in teasers he acted brilliantly giving the description of the vast and deep character of Arnav.

Showing he is a materialistic guy
Jazbbat ka koi mool nahin. Khareed lo us admi ko.
He believe in empowering others using money and making circumstances easily in favour of him. Saying sorry is the hardest task for him and morals don't matter neither emotions have any value, what matters is only money.

The dreamy looks appeared on Arnav's face as his heart spoke that he yearns for Khushi. And then fury took him and he gave an angry look to Khushi, his eyes speaking indirectly to stay away and avoid crossing his way, showing indifference. Stepping over the papers stating that she don't exist and neither she matters. But then chocolate brown eyes with guilt clearly shone in them sneakily watched Khushi. Love is a curse for him n this heavenly feeling lies as pain in his eyes.

He is helpless, confused and can't name what is going on between them because somewhere he knew that it is love but he can't accept it and in frustration he folded their only picture he had. Standing in rain, his tears mixing in rain for being impotent n heart wishing if he could love Khushi. During this whole teaser it was only Arnav eyes which were concentrated, I used to think why? Then I got the answers because eyes are the reflection of heart and Barun perfectly did this fantastic job of making his eyes speaking volumes.
The same eyes did the magic in episode 24.
Khushi is somehow getting successful in bewitching Arnav Singh Raizada to whom no girl matter, espacially Khushi.
No matter how much he scream this statement that she hold no significance in his life, no matter how much he control himself he is getting seduced from Khushi. And that's why he will do anything to make her leave from his life
He broke her pearl dori, tore away his dupatta, left her hand to dropped her down, force her for shoot in red saree and make her stand in parking lot during heavy rain. He is following every trick in his book of being a Rakshash but not at the cost of her life. He is confused because for the first time he is questioning himself that is he doing right? His heart says NO but mind said YES. In this tug of war mind won.
Arnav Singh Raizada is always right and he don't care of anyone.
The scene was brilliantly shot but Barun's acting added more charm to it. I am really impressed from his performance and utter dedication to it. I can't find enough words to describe his intense and exceptional performance. I can write a long essay on this. It's not about a particular scene, each and every scene of this love saga showcase a facet of this rare actor, not only him even all other actors count in this.

Javeria, after a long time.. I read some thing so passionate about an episode, a scene.. a character .. an actor from some one! Thrilled to no end! Oh.. the man of reflections and monologues... .his first .. in that rain .. suited the heavy down pour in his heart and head. isn't it... brilliant... that last pic you posted.. "Arnav sigh raizada ko kisi ladki se koi farq nahi padtha"...I can hug.. run away with it! Surely, how this actor of a mere couple of short shows behind him knew how to portray that turmoil of heart and head.. as you rightly said!

It just felt great reading you! Kudos.

i love ur posts and i especially love the way u write about barun, and his acting - it always seems like u got inside my head somehow and r articulating every thought i have about him and more, only much more elegantly 😳 i actually read ur post earlier and was thinking about what i wanted to say ... and then i saw the ipk rerun today, yep, episode 111, that missed kiss, first time on tv ... and i'm still speechless and sitting in a daze.

i have stopped wondering whether the brilliance and fearlessness i see onscreen is all in my head - it's not. and i've stopped doubting my interpretations of and reactions to a certain inflection in his voice, a tensing of the jawline, a rigidness or fluidity in his stance, the wealth of emotions in a certain expression, a careless turn of the head, a flicker of THOSE eyes. he gets me, every single time, right in the gut, and my heart jumps and my breaths stop. it looks real, it feels real, and i connect.

i want to know how he acts with every single part of his body. i can watch any part of him and it will always be in keeping with the scene, nothing jars or distracts the eye unless he means it to. even the way and number of times he blinks or not or the way he stands and plants his feet has been thought through. even beyond mere body language, it's as if he is that character, going through those exact emotions in that exact moment in time. and he is always faultless.

he is very rare and very instinctual, and also very technically gifted. he makes it look effortless but so much thought and hard work must go into making it feel that natural. and i love all those subtleties and shades and nuances, so uncommon and especially on indian tv! i would love to see him on a show like 'the actors studio' answering questions about his method and his approach to a particular role or scene. and yeah, me too want to know if he knows what he exudes 😳

in my mind he's as good if not better than many of my hw and bw faves, and definitely a matinee idol in the making - i see it too! on the mt, a couple of people mentioned dilip kumars voice modulation and gregory pecks intensity and charm and i was nodding my head furiously in agreement. i often watch barun onscreen and try to spot mistakes, something that doesn't look right or feel right or that he's stumbled onto by accident rather than design, to see if the glasses r actually rose-tinted or clear. but no luck so far, i haven't found any 😳 😆

Indi dear... what can I say! What a classic post for a classic show. A dedication to the beautiful and talented actor that we are fortunate to see. Wish Barun can read this post!

Loved the description of the nuances that Barun brings to his acting. Wanted to bring in the part before he turns. He is terrified of the depth of feelings that this girl can evoke and in fact scared to face her. The range of emotions that Barun showed in these 5 minute or maybe shorter scene is an indication of greater things to come. He will reach places and Indi dear ...you and me will be there to celebrate his success ( considering that we may be some of his older fans :D).

I am watching the old episodes. Every time I find something new that I missed earlier and cannot but appreciate the masterpiece this show is and the fine actors who have made it so real that we cannot seem to let go or watch any other show.

Was watching Arnav and LA break up. Superb acting by Barun... his pain and regret for hurting LA was so different from what he exhibits when he hurts Kushi and regrets later. The regret for Khushi is laced with love and underlying passion of a person madly in love. The demarcation of the two regrets by Barun begs for a standing ovation. No wonder he won so many awards for his acting!!

I can go on and on Indi. Take a bow for the most wonderful post I read in a long time!
