His eyes spoke of indifference and scared away Khushi.Barun's acting throughout the whole drama was fabulous but the scene I love and which for me clearly depicts his acting skills, character and nature of ASR was episode 24 and promo no. 4. I don't know why I still like a lunatic watch this episode and promo.Even in teasers he acted brilliantly giving the description of the vast and deep character of Arnav.Hamarey kapre hamain banatey hain. Then I got the answers because eyes are the reflection of heart and Barun perfectly did this fantastic job of making his eyes speaking volumes.The same eyes did the magic in episode 24.Khushi is somehow getting successful in bewitching Arnav Singh Raizada to whom no girl matter, espacially Khushi.No matter how much he scream this statement that she hold no significance in his life, no matter how much he control himself he is getting seduced from Khushi. And that's why he will do anything to make her leave from his lifeHe broke her pearl dori, tore away his dupatta, left her hand to dropped her down, force her for shoot in red saree and make her stand in parking lot during heavy rain. He is following every trick in his book of being a Rakshash but not at the cost of her life. He is confused because for the first time he is questioning himself that is he doing right? His heart says NO but mind said YES. In this tug of war mind won.Arnav Singh Raizada is always right and he don't care of anyone.The scene was brilliantly shot but Barun's acting added more charm to it. I am really impressed from his performance and utter dedication to it. I can't find enough words to describe his intense and exceptional performance. I can write a long essay on this. It's not about a particular scene, each and every scene of this love saga showcase a facet of this rare actor, not only him even all other actors count in this.

i too saw him in shraddha first and knew there was this thing in him... i could never look away if he was on screen.
the x factor, for the lack of a better word, was already there.
the acting grew, but yes, even i was not ready to believe he could be that suave young man golfing and acting cool, the promos were hinting at. no hindi tv actor i was sure could get it... none. so i did not watch the drop into tyhe arms unfortunately. but after i got struck by the two over diwali, of course i went again and again and saw all those episodes. more than once. 😆
epi 1 is stnning. i have not yet written seriously about it... it is still brewing in me. some day i'd love to write about it.
for me in that episode were born asr and kkg, no doubt about it.
absolutely agree with you, the very moment he set eyes on her he felt something... she disrupted, cut through, call it what you will, his bariier. this barrier was not built for fun, but by a boy shattered, himself almost dead at the moment his beloved mother took her life... or died tragically. in her death the story of his father who played with girls... a man galat.
he needed his fort, his walls to survive. it was essential.
she breached that.
and yes along with the barrier in him, grew a need to be "sahi" not galat like his father... oh 24... main sahi hoon. he was doing things his conscience couldn't agree with to this girl... just to drive her away... because he felt vulnerable without that shield, he couldn't admit emotion into his life,. they make you weak... they are for the weak... he is strong, he has to be strong... he must survive... so wondrously every bit of asr barun conveyed...
the man in anguish as he drives away, he has felt something as he saw that girl drenched, when he had to come running and save her, when he's gripped her shoulder hard not being able to let go... he knows what he is doing is not really right, but he has to do it... that breaking up in the car, then coming out, why for the first time i get the feeling i am wrong... then the drawing together of all his thoughts, his being, a few steps forward he stands in the rain, letting the elements crash over him, feet apart firmly planted, head slightly bent, hardened jaw and a gaunt tense face (how barun played with his facial muscles)... lips taut... eyes in another space, taking guard, reinforcing the walls around and in him, him, asr... main sahi hoon.
without even seeing the episode, so much sticks in me.
promo 4, so so beautiful your description of it deserves a read by all. yes, she doesn't matter, yet he must look back and his eyes say why am i getting seared so... i the rain he stands, wanting needing and feeling terrible, his heart in a mess... you can feel it. he is all heat and burn... she is curiosity, wonder and a sadness... such superb story telling.
where are these people.
