I did not say that the writers who get awards dont deserves, they do but I also think that it is time for a change that someone else also wins a awards who has also written for a long time. I can name 10 writers who deserves a awards but they have never got one. Why? Yes, the readers votes but I also think that there should be a award where only the judges vote for a change. I have been in this site for now 3 years and everytime it is same people, my point is that there are alot more writers in this forum so also have been writing and when will they time come? it is not just the famous writers who are in this forum writing but alot more also. So it is time to give a chance to the new writers also...that is my point...

that depends on the readers. Its them who chooses to read stories by different authors. We can't force them, no? And as for that judge thing, you should give this idea to DTs :) Don't take offense anyone, but the awards given to people is based on how & what they write. I have seen in awards & other Newsletters , every time new author in one or the other section. Can you please name those writers you've in mind?

You see, I've been on this forum for almost 1.5 years as of now, and what I've seen is people are willingly not giving new readers a read because of their old writers leaving story unfinished! And when you get attached to a story & the author leaves it in a lurch, its not a good feeling one gets! I have witnessed this & so have restricted myself to reading works of few trusted authors only!😊

But when? when will this stop and when will people understand that not every writer is like that...when? For me it sounds like more of a exuses to not read someone work. Sorry but it does... and if every readers does that when they are missing alot of awesome stories written by new writers

That's for people to decide. Though I really do not regret miss reading awesome stories by new writers. I am happy with the authors I follow. Everyone has their own reason of not reading new stories. Mine is I really don't trust new writers in the forum & time constrains. And I really don't mind if the same authors win awards! Few new authors have also won this time, I myself saw. It is because they deserve it. And for others whom you are talking about, maybe those who won are a bit better than them? No offense but I do not agree to this post!

And you're also not understanding what I am trying to say! Being popular, as you say few writers are, is not an easy thing. Its the way they write & what they write that make readers stick to their stories & love those. I know you're talking about the partiality in the forum, I have seen that too. But for the recently held awards, I think only those won who were deserving it😊

Readers and members don't check sticky Awards thread most of the times, any way. So why gloat about receiving or worry about not receiving awards?

If a writer writes good stuff, that piece of work alone will fetch readers. Awards come and go but the readers are the ones who stick to you.

It is not about that, but it is about to show appreciation. that is about...
Writers do check and it will make their day if someone will say these person has got earn it.
