Readers and members don't check sticky Awards thread most of the times, any way. So why gloat about receiving or worry about not receiving awards?

If a writer writes good stuff, that piece of work alone will fetch readers. Awards come and go but the readers are the ones who stick to you.

I so agree to your post! I was going to say the same thing. One should be satisfied by what they write. Definitely award gives a dignity in the forum, but what your stories makes the reader feel is more important!😊

Writers do check and it will make their day if someone will say these person has got earn it.
that is what it is about

Aren't readers comments appreciation enough for a writer?

Exactly! What will you do with the forums awards anyway? If the people around in the forum are happy with your work, you should care less about awards😊 There are many writers, I know, haven't won awards but have received great appreciation from their readers which is enough for them. One of them being me😳

And you're also not understanding what I am trying to say! Being popular, as you say few writers are, is not an easy thing. Its the way they write & what they write that make readers stick to their stories & love those. I know you're talking about the partiality in the forum, I have seen that too. But for the recently held awards, I think only those won who were deserving it😊

When will other get a awards?...
when will their time come?
Are they bad because they are not so popular?
Being popular means you are the only one in this site who have earn it?
Every one in this forum started as a new writer, some have got popular and some have given up and some who are also excellent writers are keep writing...but if they have givien chance to read the popular writers stories then also give chance to the new once and not only because a popular wirter have told you so...
how will you feel, if you have written something and no one will read because you are not so popular...I am sure you must have experience it so how could it feel...
I have understand your point of view also and yes some parts you are right and give chance to new ones also

Writing on such an open/ public platform is just to share your intellectual creations. Isn't it? Just to share the love you have for a show that has long ago stopped airing. Trust me, not everyone can write their thoughts beautifully and in a coherent manner. So consider yourself blessed that u possess one such talent.

Glad that readers appreciate your writing skills and your stories.😊

Less/ no expectations is the key, if I may add!

it is...but it will also make your day if some else will also apperciation. it is not only me but here is the thing...getting a awards makes it feel worth it and also makes you feel like, you know what I am a good writer also. Yes, readers comment helps but it is not about the readers here it is about the awards. What you are talking about is something else that was been talked about before...
here I am talking about awards and the system here...

If readers are not reading, than there's nothing one can do. Awards shouldn't be ones aim when one is writing something. Your aim should be your as well as your readers satisfaction! I thought it was a democratic forum &everyone has the right to decide as to what they want to read. And moreover you won't accomplish anything if very few read your work! you should be happy & should make others, who read your work, happy with it! Bas.😊

Oh!

Here I thought we were talking about the voting for FF's which took place a few days ago! I thought the ones who read vote for the writer and awards are declared based on that.

Guess, point of discussion is something else here.

I am talking about the awards system here and not about the readers...if some writers are happy then glad for them. but I am talking about the system of awards. What you guys are talking about is something else topic and has been talked about many times. My topic is about the awards system and only about it. to change it so new writers or old writers have a chance also. so plzz stick on the topic
