Sonia/Anyone, I cant find the thread that announced FF award winners. Could anyone please share that link if you have it?

As for the topic, since I started reading FFs not even for an year and dont have much exposure, I dont have much to say. But from my little observation, I can say this.

a. I see there is an FF/SS/OS index being maintained at the forum. This needs to be extended and in a more presentable fashion in order for all parties to easily segregate as required. such as finding stories with start date and end date if completed along with authors name and atleast a 2 line synopsis.

b. Based upon this index, it gets easy to isolate stories by each year or semester for nominations. Synopsis helps to put the story into applicable categories with not much of a pain.

c. Add categories for both completed and ongoing stories separately and by each year.

d. Stories that were put on hold as explicitly by author or stories that are neither updated for a certain period nor provided any note of the status of the story, they can be ignored to consider for nominations.

e. Add more categories such as fast paced, detail oriented, message oriented or societal awareness oriented, best fictional, stories close to reality, story with best Arnav, best Khushi along with genre based categories plus existing ones like romatic, sad, funniest, mystery as well.

f. if an author has more than 2 stories, pick the best 2 for nominations.

I dont know if any of this makes sense and is practical to consider or not but just wanted to put in my thoughts.

Finally I finished going through the whole thread. 😆 Here are my replies:

- About having judges for the FF awards: I think that would be another problem and members will make topics that it was unfair.. etc and etc because here also there isn't any guarantee that judges will be fair with all? I think the way FF Awards took place this years was perfect: everything was depending on the readers. 😊 Read my other points before you reply. 😛

- @evrydayrabbave: first of all.. I think you shouldn't have taken Appy's name. Being popular isn't easy. It's not that she joined IF and became popular because she is Appy. No my dear! She took some time in getting popular na? At the start.. every writer has less readers but with the days passing by, the number increases and if the number increases, a member becomes popular but she deserved it! She wrote many stories, updates and she writes very beautifully. And you also said that being friend with her makes you popular. Is it true. It's not even a question..😕 It's really not true. Being friends and popular are two different things. If someone becomes her friend.. they aren't still famous. I have even names but I won't take 'em in this public thread but what I meant to say is that it's not true! If someone becomes popular.. it0s because of her/his hard-work and not because she is friend with someone! IPK started in '11 and now we are in '13 so it's obvious that few people are famous because they are here since the day one unlike me or you or those who came later? We can't blame anyone for being popular. 😕

- @About readers/new writers: here I do agree. Readers are being "rude" lately because they read stories by famous writers only and don't give even a try to the new writers whose work may be even better that the popular writer's. There was/it's still there a thread were writers post the link of their stories but the truth is that readers don't even visit that thread. Even if a famous writer suggests a story.. only few give a read. 🥱

- @Nabila: your reply is perfect dear. 😃

- @Everyone: there's no need to "fight". You guys have to agree that Awards weren't biased because WE were the one who nominated and later voted. Upon that.. there were categories for new writers too! I think it will be better if we forget and move on. As Jot Dii replied here, from the next year we'll have a new system and procedure of voting/nominating? 😃
