WHAT IF I HAD LOST YOU?
A mother-in-law finds out that her future bahu has a past, left at the sacred fire to be unwed, disgraced and a shame for the family; she is not wed because the demand for dowry too high. She angrily admonishes Payal for hiding the facts behind her back and wants to call this wedding off as well. Payal and her family are upset and Akash is upset as well since he was the one who was to share this info with his mother and family. Manorama calls her and taunts her with the name reject. Payal even agrees she won't marry Akash if Manorama disagrees with the marriage.
A man confused with his emotions runs after an ambulance calling out her name,
"KHUSHI!!!"
He is beside himself, the realization too much. Where did they take her? Is she hurt? Why hasn't he told her? He squeezes the broken bangle in his hand drawing blood. Her pain is his pain. He can't even speak. Trying to say her name, stuttering, words can't come out; he can't even breathe. "K...K..." Like a caged animal, he paces within a two-foot area, back and forth, front and back. Looking back and then again to the place where the ambulance drove off. Only a matter of seconds, but it seems like an eternity that she is gone.
He turns and runs back maybe he can get to his car and follow the ambulance. He reaches his car and frantically tries for his seatbelt, you can feel his impatience and then he hears a familiar voice. He stops and looks out his rearview mirror to see Khushi arguing with a man about his pricing.

Akash tells Payal she can't do this. How can she stop the wedding? Akash my question for you is why didn't you stop your mom from ranting at her? Why didn't you tell the truth? Stick up for your woman, man!
Anjali asks with tears in her eyes, a quivering voice that she won't let him marry her because her marriage was broken before? Mami tells Anjali not to compare herself to THAT girl. Akash says he already knew about the situation. Mami breaks the alliance.
Arnav is shocked staring in the rearview mirror to see Khushi. He lets out his deep breath and rests his head on the steering wheel in relief. But it is short lived his anger and fury ensues. Slowly, but with supreme authority he walks over to her, grabbing her arms and questioning her, multiple questions flying out his mouth almost stuttering over each other. His hands reach up to her face...
"WHAT IF I HAD LOST YOU?"
She is just staring at this man, this man's strange behavior.
She breaks free.
Challenging him.
"So?"
"So what if I had been in an accident?"
"What difference does it make to you?"
He responds,
"Of course it matters to me."
She challenges,
"Why"
He responds,
"Because..."
He becomes tongue-tied.
Because...he takes a step back, realizing he cannot reveal what he is really feeling. How could he?
Back at RM.all the Raizada's are breaking relations. One in a threat; Mami wants to break Payash's alliance and Nani threatens to break alliance with her. Nani reminds her that everyone has a past. She feels hurt doesn't she? Then think how Payal must feel.
NK comes to Arnav. The merchant wants payment and Arnav pays for Khushi's chana. He turns angrily to NK and asks him where the hell he has been? NK tells him to chill. He explains what happened Khushi tipped and her sandal and bangle broke. Arnav looks down to see NK's sneakers on Khushi's feet and thongs on NK's.
They are ready to go and NK is ordered by Arnav to go back with the car. NK hands the ghee to Khushi with a surprise in the bag. Bangles. Arnav annoyed tells her let's go; she was going with him.
Mami has taken the right decision. The ritual will continue. Mami goes off in a huff. Anjali apologizes on Mami's behalf. Payal turns and walks away from Aakash. I kind of believe her anger and distress is correct. He should have spoken up in my POV.
Khushi hurriedly rush to the suv and without his helped jumped into the front seat and shut the door...in his face. He takes off and the silence is quite deafening. He tells her twice to put on her seatbelt and then pulls over, sternly asking her how many time does he have to ask her to put on her seatbelt and without words she moves her dupatta which had covered the seatbelt that was already fastened.
Payal comes to a dark poolside and Anjali asks her to turn on the lights and lo and behold she sees the beautiful decorations for her wedding. There has been a sabotage/ ambush, a trick; Aakash come out to her. She doesn't want to talk to him, she says. He says that Di made this for them so she would be happy and he always wants to keep her happy. That is a lie, girls, remember how he behaved after the kidnapping? She forgives him though.

They are driving and Khushi is happily playing with her bangles, trying to put them on. He can't keep his eyes on the road. Irritated by her happiness and those dam bangles. But alas, he is happy because they don't fit and he has to rub it in her face. Jealousy plays games with one's personality.
The bangle breaks and a piece of glass is lodged in her wrist. Arnav explodes. He yells at her again,
"What if something happened to you?"
