You know, Indi, I keep thinking why the people who made IPK couldn't recreate that magic away from IPK. 4Lions' other show Qubool Hai might be raking in TRPs but that's all thanks to the "serialish" kind of drama, Sanaya, though an fabulous actress, didn't have much success with her new show, Arshad Khan, the man who made IPK what it was, hasn't shown the golden touch in 3 other shows he directed after IPK ended, including the new season, the other actors and technicians are all working in other shows but somehow none of those actually reach out to you, of course eagerly waiting to watch the Man himself 😉.

In a way, I'm happy it ended the way it did rather than turning into just another serial, if it had continued I'm sure that's what it would have become. These days I've been watching the episodes from the last few months of IPK and realise despite the lack of story and sometimes ridiculous situations, those scenes are still watchable, still hold your attention, still make you go all aww. May be the entire universe conspired to bring all of them together and that is why there can never be another IPK.

Oh God ! I think I'm better off being a silent reader because if I start, then the rambling, ranting goes on and on...

Episode-178

Mami's assail continues to Payal and the rest of the Gupta family. They became crestfallen at her flippancy. Mama tries to meliorate the situation, so as Akash. But mami continues her vociferation.. She literally ravages Payal with her afflictive words. She wants to know why her marriage broke; does she have any defect or what else they hid from her? nani rebukes her and tells her to give them a chance to defend themselves. But she doesn't want to listen to anybody, she just wants to null and void the alliance. Anjali tries to assuage her as well. When bua tries to say that Payal already told Akash, Payal doesn't let her talk further. She tells mami that she admits of her broken alliance, if she doesn't want she will not marry Akash. All perturbs to hear it. It seemed for a moment that mami also felt a jolt. But actually not, she literally tramples Gupta family even more. Akash refutes Payal that she can't do it. Anjali gets upset on mami for rejecting Payal for her broken alliance, where her own niece had gone through the same phase. Mami retorts back not to compare her with payal. She is nonpareil to Khoon bhari tang. Akash now opens his mouth after the situation turned nasty. He says her that Payal and her family already told him everything. But mami doesn't believe him. She declares to break the alliance right now.

Pause: Payal didn't put Akash down, though she was terribly upset on him. Her endurance is plausible. Mami should be happy to get such a sensible and wonderful girl as her daughter in law.

Arnav is hollering khushi and running after the ambulance in embroilment. He becomes stagnant for a moment as if he has been mortified completely. His tempestuous heart is convulsing in premonition, whether the girl in the ambulance is Khushi or not! He is fluttering, embroiling, holding the piece of her belonging. With the ghost of pain gnawing at his heart, he gathers the courage and runs towards his car. He can't waste any time, he has to go to the hospital right now to see her in person. As soon as her gets in the car he hears somebody's voice, very familiar, very close to his heart. It's no other, but Khushi. She is bargaining with a cholewala. Arnav looks at the front mirror and sees Khushi's image there. He gets his life back. He rests his head on the steering wheel to release his stress. His body shudders with pure happiness. but his raw emotions rises from the dark recess of his heart like quivering flames of fire, he comes back to his ASR's mode again. Now his anxiety turns to rage at her temerity. He gets down and hobbles to her angrily. Khushi also gets perplexed to see him there. He comes there and pulls her towards him in a jerk . he starts to yelp her with fusillade of questions.

What do you thing of yourself?. I've been searching you for so long. You left your phone at home and NK was also not answering his phone. You were not found in your home and I found this on the road.

He shows the piece of her broken bangles. His anger mellows a bit and he says her with worried and quivering voice

Mujhe laga (I thought)

But instantaneously he changes his tone. He can't show his weakness to her. after all he is ASR. He asks her peremptorily

Do you even know what I've been going through? Pata hai kitna pereshan tha mein? Mujhe laga, mujhe laga ki main tumhe kho diya.aur tum yaha...do you know how worried I was? I thought that I lost you. And you are here...

He is stammering in impediment; his anger is pulsating also. He cups her cheek vehemently

What if you were inside that ambulance? What if I would've lost you?

he keeps holding her face, as if he doesn't want to let her go. He wants to feel her flesh and blood. Khushi also is dumbfounded to see his tension for her. She extricates his hands from her face and retorts back strongly,

Agar aisa hua bhi hota to? Humarai accident hotha, apko kya phadak padta hai.

(If anything would've happened, so? I met an accident, what difference does it make to you?)

Of course phadak padta hai. Damn it..of course it matters damn it.

He answers her with volition.

Why, why does it make difference to you?

But he can't give her the answer. Sad rabba vey in piano depicts his inner turmoil.

Pause: Why he just couldn't say that he loves Khushi, so that it matters. What is his dilemma? He still has entrenched himself in the parapet of the misconception of love. He still is not ready to pamper his feelings of love. So he remained taciturn at Khushi's candid question.

Khushi always shows her chivalry to ask him her queries. On the night of diwali she asked him why he kept her payal and why he wanted to kiss her. Even after the forced marriage several times she attempted to know why he hated her so much and coerced her for the marriage. But he was numb that time and he maintained his silence till the day, she took the extreme step to suicide.

In RM the fracas is still going on. Nani declares with a strong repartee that if mami breaks the alliance she will also break the relationship with her. mami is baffled to hear this. Nani says her, because of this fear Akash hid the truth from her. she recriminate her,

Everybody has a past. Who knows it better than you? Am I right?

Mami tries to hide her face, as she knows very well that her past is not so glorious. Nani continues,

Remember one thing, I could have take this decision, but I didn't. I could have said that my son won't marry you. Then what would've happened to you?

Sasuma? (mother in law)

Mami gets hurt to hear the blunt truth from her mouth. Nani retaliates her again that when she thought of herself, she got hurt, but didn't she see the pain of the innocent girl?

Pause: mami tried to establish her entity over all. But nani played her nemesis to make her mouth shut. Bravo naniji, you are truly the nani of ASR.

When Arnav was agitated with Khushi's question, NK comes right then to get chided by him. He is surprised to see Arnav there. He barges at him, where was he? Nk tells him to relax.

The car broke down, so he went to fix it and Khushi tripped while walking, her bangles broke, her shoes also broke.

He shows him that she is wearing his shoes and he is wearing a sandal.

Arnav looks at Khushi wearing oversize boot of NK and looks at NK wearing chappal with socks. These NK and Khushi, they are sure lost siblings. Both were looking so funny! But our Raizada is a bit harsh on NK. Poor guy, he is such a sweet person, but always gets yell from Arnav.

Nk asks Arnav what is he doing here? But instead of answering him Arnav charges him for not receiving his call. Nk says that he forgot his phone in the car, but he gets the ghee. He gives the bag to Khushi and tells her that there is a surprise inside the bag. Khushi's face glints with a smile to see the surprise. NK brought choodiyaa for her. The tiff is visible in Arnav's countenance. How dare he transgressed ASR by giving his girl bangles! He is fuming in anger standing in between them. To divert their sweet convo, he tells NK with gritted teeth to fix his car and go home. He tells Khushi to come with him. But Khushi wants to stay back with NK, what acerbates Arnav. he tells her imperatively to come with him. NK also assents Arnav. cause buaji khana khake pareshon hogi. (buaji will be worried after eating.) Khushi mends him khamakha.(unnecessarily.) khushi finally agrees to go with arnav and he follows her. NK bids them bye. But grumpy Raizada is so mad that ignores him completely. Gosh he is too harsh on him.

In RM, nani admonishes mami not to bring this issue again. As the pandit is waiting for the pooja, she suggests all to complete it. Mami doesn't retort back but looks the Gupta ladies loathsomely. The Gupta women are woebegone after mami's insolence. They became inert and languid, can't even look in their eyes in embarrassment. Anjali comes forward to them and asks her ardent apology on behalf of mami. Akash also accompanies her. bua tells her modestly that it's not her fault. Anjali is crying for this unpleasant situation. Akash comes to talk with Payal, but she avoids him and goes away. Compunction is assailing his heart now. Anjali comes to her brother to console him; every thing will be alright.

Pause: I loved Payal's attitude. She was indignant at Akash's cowardice. She was shown as a strong woman from the very beginning. Sigh, Cvs couldn't use her. So as Anjali. She also was shown as a very sweet and sensible woman. after kidnapping track Daljeet's unreasonable demand for more screen space ruined her character as well .

Khushi is now showing Arnav her nakhde (attitude). He comes forward to open the door for her, but she ignores him. He contemplates at her for a moment then comes to the driving seat. He is driving, but both are khamosh. Khushi looks sullen. Arnav is starring at her every now and then; he can't see his garrulous Khushi mute like this. So he breaks the silence first. He tells her to put her seat belt on. But she is still mum. Her anger pulsates; he stops the car, tells her to fasten the seat belt. He is about to scold her for behaving like this, khushi removes her dupatta to show him that she has already fastened her seat belt.

Anjali concocts to melt the ice between her bro and his to be wife. She calls Payal by the poolside and surprises her with the beautiful decoration what she did for her and Akash. Payal's face brightens up with a smile to see the sight. Anjali goes away and Akash comes there. Payal again tries to avoid him. she doesn't want to talk to him. Akash tells her meekly that his di embellished this place with lots of care just to see smile on her face. He apologizes to her earnestly. He says, he wanted to tell it to his mom, but couldn't. He wants to see her happy always. And it will be his effort all the time to keep her smiling. Can't she just forgive him for his single mistakes? He promises that it is his one and last mistake. He tenderly holds her hand and avows to her

I will not hide anything from you, no matter how big it is.

Payal convulses to hear this, cause she and her family committed a cardinal sin of hiding Shyam's truth from them.

Arnav is driving, but his attention is completely on the crazy girl sitting beside him, who is still showing him her cute nakhde. Khushi tries to wear the choodiyaa what NK got for her. Seeing her struggling with the bangles Arnav teases that NK doesn't even know her wrist size. She replies that at least he thought to get choodiya for her. but she winces in pain as the bangle breaks and pierces inside her wrist. Arnav stops the car in a jolt and screams at her,

Are you gone crazy? If the bangles were not of your size then why did you wear it. Damn it. If anything would've happened with you, if your vein would've got cut!

She retaliate

What would've happened then?

Her eyes flash in a surprising show of defiance. She looks at him with perplexity and he looks back at her, but can't answer her.

Mr. sexy Raizada reprimanded again, that Khushi is his love and life, but still can't admit it to her.

Episode-179

Unbeknownst to himself, she had resided in the sacrosanct place of his heart and seeped deep into his soul, slowly, stealthily and with infinite gentleness. He buried and denied that feelings vehemently inside him. but when he saw her whimpering in pain, his pent up emotions erupted involuntarily. He screams in anger

Damn it, kuch ho jata to? Tumhari naas kaat jati to?...if anything would've happened to you? If your vein would've got cut?

She also retaliates him in volition

The bangle breaks and pierced in Khushi's wrist while she was trying to wear it forcefully.

Arnav get's frenzied at her temerity. He stops the car, gets down and comes to her side.

I already told you don't talk me in this tone.

He is very much aware of his right on her. Without any inhibition he holds her hand. But Khushi is obdurate; she doesn't want him to hold her hand. She tries vehemently to extricate her hand from his grip. Arnav is looking at her grimly and says peremptorily,

Khushi let me see it.

Khushi had to give up. When he rubs her wound with medicine she winces in pain. He looks at her with agitation. He can't see her in pain. Slowly he starts to dress her wound.. hey hey, rabba vey starts to play in the BG, Khushi looks at him with bewilderment. Every time she squirms in pain, he dithers. He finally get the broken piece of glass out from her skin by his teeth. She shudders when she sees his mouth dangerously close to her wrist. She shuts her eyes in anticipation.

Ho gaya, it's done.

She opens her eyes, he is starring at her meekly. His gaze was fixed to her for the whole time while he was wrapping the bandage around her wrist.

pause: he is always meticulous with her pain or wound. With same care he fixed her twisted ankle on the diwali night and put the anklet around her ankle lovingly. He always there by her side to take tripping and falling Khushi in his arm. He takes care of her like a fragile doll. And she also submits herself to him without any hesitation. Though she was showing some cute anger today. And I guess it also is a demonstration of her possessiveness out of love.

Khushi looks at him with satiation. When he gets in the car again, they look at each other intently. All feelings of anger and rancor seep out from her heart and what remains is her unconditional love for him. she smiles at him shyly and he glances at her with a thoughtful gaze.

Their meaningful gaze to each other reminds me Khushi's dialogue from the heer ranjha act

"Jisko jeen jaan se chaahte hai, jab usko nazre ko samne pate hai tab aakhe bolte hai juba nahi. Yeh hum jaante hai, yeh aap jante hai.

Arnav and Khushi both know that there mere words are supremely superfluous and their eyes always speak volumes.

Amma and bua are still crestfallen, embroiling in anticipation whether any thing bad happens on the wedding day or not. Today naniji handled the situation, but they got very scared at manoroma's behavior. Bua prays to God to protect their daughter. Akash comes there and assures them that he will take care of Payal and will protect her from any harm. He admits his guilt acquiescently that he delayed to tell the truth to his mom, so that such a clamor occurred. He tells them, all the decisions in their house are made by Arnav. he takes the burden of the family on his shoulder all by himself. So if he agrees then nobody will not retort back, not even his mother. He holds amma's hand and promises her that from now on everything will be fine. He wants to know whether they rely on him or not. Amma nods her head with assent. Amma and bua bless him and get very happy at his consoling words. Payal who was watching them from a distance also gets happy and so as Anjali.

All comes back to the havan. Payal asks amma is she alright? Amma is happy and relaxed now. She is satisfied to get such nice guy as their son in law. She thinks Payal is really lucky to get such a good human being as her husband. She prays to God that Khushi also gets such a good hearted guy as her husband. Bua admonishes Payal not to say anything to Khushi. She will be worried unnecessarily and will make it an issue.

pause: A mother's wish always fulfills. so that Arnav came to Khushi's life, who is a great human being and loves Khushi immensely.

Anjali calls Nk to know about their whereabouts. She tells nani and Shyam that, the car broke down, NK is fixing it and Arnav and Khushi are coming back together. Nani starts frolicking to hear this. She says gleefully,

Sath ma? Larath bhi ho gayi chuhe billi ki tarha. Kabh ye age, to woh piche, kabhi woh age to ye piche .

Together? Must be fighting like cat and mouse, one after another.

Anjali adds ,

Ha nani, pehle larte hai, phir ek doosre se manate hey. Phir larai karte hai, phir manate hai.hume to lagta hai sath reheneke bahane dhoondtehai.

Yes nani, first they fight, then pacify each other. They fight again and pacify as well. I think they just want to find the excuse to be together.

Nani says with gaiety

Hume to lagta hai ki pure zindegai aisan hi kat jaye us dono ki, han.

I think their whole life will spend like this.

Granny and grand daughter are getting elated. Arnav and Khushi's love is making them ecstatic like us. They give each other high five. Shyam is listening and exasperating. It turned really a bad day for the creep. His sham to kill Anjali failed and his saale sahib and Khushi's love has become the talk of the town.

Arnav and khushi both are silent in the car, but looking at each other tenderly every now and then. He glances at her intently with his caramel eyes flickering with a smolder in their depth. khushi also is looking back with a demur of coy. . A mixture of intrigue and apprehension rife in them. As they stay silent all the maelstrom of emotions simmers in their eyes. When they finally reached home Arnav tells Khushi to go inside and he will be back after a while. Hmm where the sexy raizada is going?

The pooja is almost finished in RM. Shyam is perturbing that salesahab and Khushi didn't come yet. Just imagine Shyam, they are enjoying their lovey-dovey moments together. He expresses his weariness for Khushi. Anjali tells him that she will be fine. I wonder why Anjali didn't suspect her husband's extra concern for Khushi. He also showed his concern for Khushi before this. Is she just dumb or too blind? Later when Shyam's truth was revealed to her, how cum she forgot everything.

Khushi comes back. The creep smiles to see her, but get panicked to see the bandage on her wrist and so as the rest of the family. Everybody come towards her and asks her what's the matter. Devil shyam tells them to dress her wound. Shyam's cagey words agitate the Gupta ladies . Anjali wants to take her to clean her wound and wishes to give her proper shoes as well. She tells her that she is coming back with the juice. Khushi is traipsing slowly; she is lost in some other planet. Arnav planet I guess. She remembers that she forgot her phone. Arnav is already back with a gift in his hand. The solemn look in his eyes is simmered by a trace of coy. He asks Khushi meekly, is she alright? before she can answer him NK intervenes with bafflement.

What happened to Khushiji? Why are you asking her this question? Omg what happened to your wrist?

He notices the gift bag in Arnav's hand. He asks him what is inside? Arnav feels a bit awkward at his question.

Arnav roils at his volley of question and over concern for Khushi. He tells him to sit in the havan. Nk finally shows his annoyance by intentionally calling him Ravaan. Though he says sorry at the same time, but Arnav certainly enrages to hear this. He sweetly asks Khushi to join him in the havan, he will be waiting for her.

ArshiH is right after the dori incident Khushi is not provoking Arnav's jealousy.

After NK left both Arnav and Khushi looks at each other with demure. Arnav looks a bit coy as well. They are unable to express and articulate their feelings that had remained buried in their heart for a long time. Poor guy got gift for Khushi, but can't even give it to her as well. Whereas he used to give gift to La all the time. People behave waywardly when they are in love.

In the guestroom, when Khushi comes back after getting fresh, she sees the gift bag on the dresser. She reads Khushi written on the cover. She opens it and her face glints with a big smile to see a set of very pretty bangles there. I guess it must be the designer bangles, after all tycoon Raizada's first gift to his love! She starts to wear it and looks herself on the mirror, how she is looking with these beautiful choodiyaas. She smiles gleefully Then she sees Arnav's reflection in the mirror, who is watching her from outside. They look at each other lovingly through the mirror. Ambiguity clouds the hazel depth of her eyes. The look of surprised pleasure on her face makes his eyes soften with tenderness. Rabba vey starts to play in the BG. Arnav leaves after confirming that Khushi got his gift. Khushi recollects what he said in the car about the choodiyaan what NK brought for her. She remembers how she appreciated NK for getting bangles for her and the gift bag in his hand. She is flummoxed that Arnav got choodiyaan for her. she faints in perplexity. Anjali who comes there with the juice, tries to wake her up, but she doesn't respond.

Khushi can you hear me?

Arnav asks her tenderly. There is so much concern in her voice. He has become frazzled to see her unconscious. Khushi is lying on the bed unconscious and all the guptas and Raizadas are enceindering her. Bua is tensed what happened to sanka devi. NK is also tensed,

Di, khushijiko josh kiu nahi arahahe. (di, why Khushiji in not having her fun back?)

Hosh (sense)

Khushi corrects NK in her semi dormant state. Hmm so it was all the drama queen's drama. All sighs a relief to hear her voice. When she opens her eyes her look goes first to Arnav. She asks him

Choodiya, apne?...you got the bangles?

Arnav feigns innocence. He gets nervous to answer her. Smart mami shows her incredulity first. Nani and Anjali also think what choodiyaan she is talking about? Mami can't help herself but banters her that what choodiyaan, did she get mad after the head injury? Bua refutes her that she is fine, it's her habit to say gibberish thing.

Khushi tum theek ho na?...are you alright Khushi?

He asks her gently, with lots of concern. He tells NK to pass him more pillows and tells Payal to put it on her back to make her back straight. He tells Anjali to give her water.

Yes boss, here is water.

Anjali replies him in teasing tone. He is now calling the doctor. But Khushi says that she is fine now.

You are right.

He still is trying doctor's number. but doc's phone is unreachable. Nani and Anjali are enjoying Arnav's weariness for Khushi. Khushi again says that she is fine. amma suggests bua to take Khushi home right now. but nani refutes immediately , how Khushi can go home in this condition? She needs some rest. It seems like nani wants to make Khushi her bahu right now. Arnav also assents nani that she doesn't need to go anywhere, she should be here, take rest. Khushi replies she is absolutely fine. She suggests all to go back to havan. everybody leaves, Arnav is still sitting beside her, though he is hiding his looks from her. he is scared to get caught. khushi asks him again did he get the bangles for her? he doesn't answer her, tells Payal to get Khushi back downstairs.

Except nani and Anjali why nobody didn't suspect Mr. Raizada's showcase of care for Khushi? strange!
