NOTE:-

This thread has been such a great reading and learning experience. I enjoyed reading other members' perspectives and also got a few points to learn myself as an author and I hope to follow those :)

Also, I wanted to clarify that if I am not reading a story currently, it doesn't necessarily mean that it falls in the category a-m. It means have not come across that story yet :)

I couldn't come to this thread as often as I did when I started it and I felt extremely guilty for responding 2 days later to the posts and hence I am getting this thread closed and if any posts are made between this note and the DT note, I will reply to them over PMs :)

Also if I have missed hitting the 'Like' button or replying to anyone, please bring it to my notice :)

One of the main reasons I don't start reading is because of the title! If its a title that doesn't appeal to me I tend to not read the story.

I almost have same points you have listed.

Other things that come to mind, are those stories that have typos, bad grammar. I somehow can't get myself read them, even the concept seem nice.

Also some authors get very rude and say they want likes and comments for all their chapters. I basically feel if the story is worth it, readers will naturally comment. Of course this may nor maybe be possible/true all the time. At least with me it is.

If I like a story, I leave a comment. Which again brings me to the point, I find on going stories to be very frustrating.

there is nothing like a plump story with the ending to be read. I read in one shot over the night..:)..

which brings me to another question not related to this, sorry for digressing..what happened to your story of the week. That greatly helped me identifying completed good story recommendation!..

Once i used to give a long comment atleast 1 page of Word with normal font because a writers deserve this for all the pain they take to write the story.

But with the end of ipk, writer left the story without ending.

I felt like a fool for wasting my hours for writing stupid comment.

So, i prefer being a silent reader now.

Many writers want long comment but they dnt say thank you personally just coz they are quite famous.That's mean i gues why to comment n waste if its nt appreciated.
