Let me tell you... No one is more shocked than me that I am so so crazy about our Desi version... I think it has all the elements that made P&P a classic and then some... But you are right the similarity ends somewhere around Diwali...love both all the same ... But am loving IPK a tad more these days coz it has context for us... Now if u reflect ... Doesnt IPK .. find amazing similarity to Taming of the Shrew .. but ofc in reverse .

I agree... That you can not be a lover of romance and not love or try to relate all epic romance you see to P & P somehow... After all it was the original...

Brooding... Arrogant...Contemptuous AND Prejudiced hero...

A Spirited...Disarming... Principled...Disadvantaged AND of course Proud heroine ...The story of "First Impressions"...on how erroneous and incomplete they can be... The love story .. Woven into a rich tapestry of familial love... sisterly bonds... societal values... I think those are the threads that link our IPK to P & P...

As for taming of the Shrew... I don't remember enough to make any ntelligent comments... But the title sure suites the taming of our very own ASR... 😛
