SS - Always and Forever

Chapter 1 – You will be safe, Arnavji..

He knew he loved her and he loved her to death. Since the last one month he'd been held captive , if not anything else he had a lot of time to reflect over things, issues he had overlooked in the past while in his haste to punish his love, thinking of her as nothing but a gold digger and betrayer.

The way she stopped him at the airport... There was something in those eyes, tears shouting her innocence, he felt it in his heart and was about to go back to her.. Cursing her tears! But that was when his vulnerability was taken advantage of and ASR was kidnapped! He just didn't know who, but was sure he was going to have them dead! When alone, he thought of Khushi wishing that "wish you would have loved me..." We would be at a different point in life..

He hated to torture her! His mind went back to their confrontation in which she told him about Shyam! He blamed her for making up another story, not ready to believe that he could have been wrong in his judgment! Somewhere in his heart he felt this was the truth but instead of accepting it and realizing what a blunder he had committed, the ASR in him made him play the blame game again!

But now he thought was it a story? He remembered her unhappiness about her engagement, the day she cried on his arm and he knew something was wrong, she wanted to tell him but she stopped. Why? - To not have to hurt him and Di and to save Payal's rishta she'd answered that day! A realization struck him in a wave of shock as he recalled her paleness every time she was near his jijai! OMG why couldn't he put the puzzle together, before, he was coming on to her and it was in defense she had uttered those fateful words which made him do such a horrific thing to her!

Khushi had listened to him, given in for her sister's happiness; she was orphaned again when they disowned her because of him! All the times he called her ruthless and characterless, all the hurt she took it all in and yet she loved him.. Her tears at the airport now had a different meaning altogether! She knew he was in trouble; she tried to save me why? Putting her life in danger why why why?

All the answers hit him and he couldn't breathe- Khushi, I should have known it was always me, always me.He knew he had wronged his love, but he was going to make amends as soon as he saw her next!

Lost in her thoughts, love,innocence and courage, he heard a sound, his name.. He rushed to find her there! Was he dreaming- no he realized as she ran up to him and hugged him! He wanted time to stop for them there and then!

They were disturbed by the another voices of people coming in.. She hurriedly spoke –'Arnavji trust me this once.. Don't get shocked by whatever you see.. I had no option but to do this to reach you.. I have risked a lot here but today I'll make sure you walk out of here safe… Go hide where you were and once we reach you, just play along.. Please I can't answer just do what I say! Please trust me this once!'

Confusion clouded his mind but he did what she said because he knew he'd trust her till death now, not ever would he commit the mistake he'd done before! But what the hell was happening? Her voice indicated trouble.. And a gut feeling told him.. that there was a lot of trouble!

Before he could think further he heard her say, Shyamji.. So it was you all along, smiling at him! "What the?" - Arnav's mind reeled, this man could stoop so low? 'So these men are yours, terrible idea, I thought you could do better! But anyway now let him go, I've joined your web, ruined him, let him go!

What was she saying, is she mad? His mind reeled, but he remembered her plea! His Jijaji turned to him and sneered' Khushi is mine, always' and punched him! He could see Khushi flinch under her mask and stopped him- don't dirty your hands Shyamji- she smiled sweetly!

Arnav understood it all- no no no Khushi you shouldn't have, you made him believe you're on his side, this risk with this maniac just for me - nooo!! But he played along showing shock to his jija at the scene in front of him!

He felt someone opening his hands, he saw Nk sneak up behind! What the?- but thanked God that his crazy wife wasn't alone in all of this.. Nk and Arnav hid behind the boxes- meanwhile Khushi was talking to him about some papers!

The look of shock on his face was misunderstood by Nk and he rushed to explain it all to him! Pain seared through him wondering "Khushi did so much for me after all I've put her through?" Relief washed over him as he decided that he was now going to love this girl every second of his life..

Seeing his men disappear, Nk and Arnav stepped out ready to take their jijaji down!

He saw that jerk hold her hand. Fury burned him as he yelled- don't you dare! Khushi turned to him and assured Shyam while walking unto Arnav- 'Arnavji calm down now will you'.Shyam snickered hoping to see her slap Arnav. But what he saw shook him completely - what was Nk doing here...he wondered before he saw Khushi and Arnav embrace each other! He was tricked! She's going to pay for this- Khushi, how dare you? She turned around with tears holding Arnav's hand smiling- "and u thought I was weak Shyamji! No matter what you do, say, he is my husband, my life, you actually thought? I know you so well your evil I had to trap you Shyamji or else how would I reach him! Nk and I knew all along that it was you and so did mamiji- and guess what- come out everyone," as he saw the rest of the Raizada and Gupta family come out from behind the boxes- all shocked with tears but ready to face this evil dawning on their family. "You really thought i would do this alone?" Haha! And oh yes, police is here outside by the way, your game is up!!!"

He was surrounded by everyone!! He shouted- "my game is up but not before I finish his! He pulled out his gun an aimed at Arnav and shot two bullets-

Khushi yelled –"Arnavji move"... Stood in front of him when she saw him aim ... In a second the bullets pierced her stomach and one somewhere where her Arnavji lived- her heart.. The jerk with which she had pushed her love aside and the bullets made her fall and she felt her head hit the table- she felt blood oozing out everywhere- her stomach, head!! She heard him yell- Khushiii as she could see his cloudy face.. She felt herself sinkng…so this was it ..she thought…but she cudnt go until she told him how she felt and so..she put up her hand of blood to touch his face and as she whispered before darkness took over.. I love you Arnavji..Always...and Forev….

The world stood still for him as he felt her push him and Before he could react- she was shot not once but twice, her head hit got the blow .. He ran but could not save her from the fall- his heart stopped as he saw her muster- I love u always, to him and as her eyes shut..

He picked her up everyone in shock, rushed out to the hospital. As she lay in his arms.. In blood, he cried.. His life stood still even before he cud start living it...to tell her he loved her..How sorry he was for everything ...his heart stopped even before it had started living in her love...

As he saw them take her on that stretcher into the OT, pain and numbness took over him.. "It should have been me Di" .. He whispered to Anjali who was next to him crying. They had never felt helpless since the day their mother died... His sister facing the betrayal and him- seeing his love fight for her life. ..anger took over him as he called the commissioner- " make sure he never gets out as long as he's alive".. He saw his sister flinch and he saw her pain but she held his hand and whispered- "you are doing the right thing Chottey, he should be punished"

Those four hours of her operation were torture for everybody- Arnav was sitting still in his position no expression while Mami and Nk told the entire family of the happenings! If guilt could kill- that's what happened to Arnav.

The doctors came out...he rushed up to them.. "My Khushi is she ok doc? Is she out of danger?? Answer me dammit..."

If one could die a thousand deaths.. Arnav did as he heard them say.. "Mr. Raizada.. She's alive..." but before he could let relief take over he said.. "Two bullets and a head injury.. Has been brutal for her.. We managed to save her but..." Arnav couldn't breathe he just wanted to know "but what...tell me"...he raged.. The doc continued.. "She's critical ASR.. She's alive but the head injury and loss of blood... I'm afraid your wife has slipped into coma Mr. Raizada..."
