Episode 127-128: Dard, Ishq & Faraq in bunches

The ASR music has never sounded so brutal, the dard(pain) in this ishq(love) had never run so deep. His eyes scorching on her, slowly he walked over, she looks away fiddling with some jewelry in her hand nervously trying to ignore him,

but he calls out her name "Khushi" eyes cold as ice, she could ignore no more, she looks at him, he passes the set onto her, he has malicious intentions and the young, innocent, inexperienced girl falls right for it. Poor thing thinks he bought the set for her that she was eyeing. "aap? yeh?" is all she can say in front of everyone. She knows ASR is capable of anything, even gifting her a set in front of everyone. He proceeds to take the necklace in his hands, eyes still on her, and holds it up worrying her even more "Aap? yeh?" she asks again. Once he had her where he wanted her, he makes his intentions clear "Lavanya? I wanna see how this looks on you". He puts the necklace on Lavanya, moving her hair to the side with his hands while keeping his eyes steady on Khushi every second only to look for that faraq.

The faraq she didn't admit to when he had looked her in eyes and asked point blank, she had the audacity to look him back in the eyes and tell him "koi faraq nahi padta" leaving his eyes with visible dard in them. A ping pong game or rather war of inflicting dard (pain) on each other had started since Arnav's discovery of Khushi's engagement. A cold war had continued the next day with indirect hits of "cheap bracelets," bank balances, and "nakushi" (unhappiness) but when she picked up that bracelet, a sense of loss on his face was evident and as Kushi would say later point out "aap haarte bahut boora hai Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada"...the war had intensified to newer levels perhaps both weren't prepared for. His anguish best expressed in his anger, like often result into irrational behavior.

After seeing how upset La was with his abrupt irrational decision to have the engagement the very next day, Khushi had followed him out by the poolside to talk to him, to convince him. Perhaps she didn't know just how much her sticking up for her fianc's bank balance and picking up that bracelet would stir him, but the faraq from it all was everywhere in that exchange by the poolside in the way he directed his anger towards her, and in his need to let her know how little she means to him:👏👏👏

"Mein kuchh bhi karron mujhe tumhe jawaa dene ki zarurat nahi" (I don't have to tell you what ever i do)

Or, in the way he slams file he was pretending to read and stands up eagerly to face her to unleash on her

"tum hoti kaun ho mere life ke decision mein interfere karne wali?" (Who do you think you are to interfere in my life like that?) - there is definitely and underlining of resentment that she is not a bigger part of his life, but she's not so he wants to hate her for it. His reaction behavior is so intriguing and moving here.

This faraq had turned his world upside down, driven him crazy at thoughts of her belonging to some faceless man, he was so desperate to hear from her and know that this faraq has affected her too. so when he saw bits of it, he couldn't hold back.

She had fired back to his short and nasty comments. "aap samajhte kya hai apne aapko? aap ke samne dar ke maare koi mooh nahi kulta iska matlab yeh nahi ha ki-"

while talking, looking in his eyes, something stops her. he catches on. she tries to go on..

"Jab Anjaliji aur Nani ji ne aapki sag" again, whey can't she go on, finish the word "sagaai"...his sagaai. "you have to listen to me, this is your engagement, not some game" to which Arnav asks her to take care of her engagement first.

she looks away, "i'm talking bout your engagement not mine"

"Exactly," This was his chance, he closes in on her, "sagaai meri hai" looking her straight in the eyes he asks away "Khushi meri sagaai ho ya na ho, kal ho ya ek saal baad ho, tumhe iss kya farq padta hai?"

Translation: "Exactly, it's my engagement, Khushi, whether i have an engagement or not, whether its tomorrow or a year later, what difference does it make to you?"

Barun brilliant voice modulation as work again. His voice had gone so mellow, and serious.. And he said her name, only her first name, there was an intimacy in this question and the way he asked it that it did all sorts of things to her. The whooshing wind had suggested how deep his question reached her, as deep as his mehsoos reached every time, har baar... A question she didn't anticipate, but the answer had involuntarily appeared in her eyes. But perhaps in her eyes wasn't good enough for him, he wanted to hear the word from her lips. He held his breath and swallowed hard.

Why do i get the feeling that the way he waits for her answer here, if she had admitted that the faraq is plenty, there really was a small window in which he would've also given in? so not like ASR but here so much desperation, if even for a brief moment, I feel he too would have revealed his true feelings. Sadly, If there was this small window, Khushi slams it shut. Hard to blame the girl after all the pain she had endured since Diwali night, she wouldn't dare bring to her lips anything that would leave her vulnerable to him.

As hard as it was for her, she looked down, away from him, and managed to piece together a sentence with hesitance "aapki sagaai ho ya na ho? hamme kyu faraq pade ga?"

He looks down disappointed with dard (hurt), but its her next line and the way she dared to look him in eyes and say with such confidence is what drives him over the edge

"suna aapne? hamne kya kaha? Hamme koi faraq nahi padta!"

"did you hear? what I said? I doesn't make any difference to me?"

Anger fills his face but the sad notes of Rabba ve mirror the deep inflicted dard so visible in his misty eyes. She tries to continue but he just keep looking at her with this look, how could she go on? and before she knew it, she was trailing behind him while his hand gripped her wrist tightly with that haq (a familiar dard now) and drug her into the living room...there was madness in his determined eyes.

"Ek minute Lavanya" he says letting go of Khushi's hand just in time...that shatir shatir batameez laad governor! Once he has everyone's attention he continues

"Khushi convinced me and I think she's right, Its really tough to prepare of an engagement in one day" Everyone is surprised at his sudden change in mind but there is a fear in Khushi's reaction..what is his angle? where is he going with this? He certainly didn't look convince out there

"SO i've made a decision that the engagement won't be tomorrow, it will be next week, because i can't wait longer than this Lavanya" needless to say he put a smile on everyone, especially on La with the last line "ab teek hai?""ok now?" a happy nod from La and he makes his angle known to Khushi

"Par maine ek aur faisla liya hai, engagment ki saari tayaariya Khushi karegi. Mera aur Lavanya ka risha tey karaane mein Khushi ka bahut bada contribution hai, aur maine Khushi ko office mein kaam karte hue dekha hai, bahut hardworking hai"

Translation: "I've made one other decision, Khushi will do all the preparations for the engagement, She made a big contribution in our relationship, I've seen her work in the office, she's very hardworking.

He turns around to look at her, a slight lift in the eyebrows "is that OK with you Khushi?"

...in a roomful of people only the two understood how poisonous that question and his look really was. She couldn't answer till La answered for her, all she could do was force a smile and nod. He walked over to her for another blow, in this one however his dard tucked inside "I hope tumme koi faraq nahi pada"

At this point, the faraq had become a weapon in this war, he just wants to hurt her, the way he had been hurt. His victory would lie in all the faraq he saw and pulled out of her which he knew was there, but she chose to keep it hidden at a time when he dropped all of his inhibitions to ask her. this just doesn't sit well with him especially when jealousy is involved

On a another note, after looking in his eyes, and knowing now what he's doing, she must realize how deeply he cares for her to be taking such extreme measures only to get her to admit. where she knows it or not, his challenge of faraq has her in fear...perhaps fear of giving him what he want. Afterall Khushi tends to show "jo dil mein, woh hi chehre pe" (whatever is in heart is on her face). The next day when Arnav arrives unexpectedly, the first words out of her mouth with fear in her voice "Anjali ji said that you're not coming"

"Kyu? tumhe kya farq padta hai?" hehe he was dying to say that to her wasn't he?

A galore of beautiful jewelry had been laid out for a bunch happy women. Arnav and Khushi sit on the opposite side of the sofa, but they were right there beside each other weren't they? both aware of the dard exuded by each other. this is what you call sizzling chemistry. Anjali shows him a ring, a slight nod but the second he overheard that it was Khushi's choice

"i didn't say i like it, i said it's nice, app aur dikhaiye"' he looks over to catch any faraq, i'm sure he found some in those uneasy eye look away from him.

What makes it so hard to hate ASR is that even at his worst, his love and care for Khushi always shows. Like the minute Anjali and La leave, his gaze goes to her without any hostility, any arrogance, even when she looks away his eyes just can't leave her face and when they finally do, she sneaks a look in. The sad rendition of "Rabba ve" how would they ever have gotten over all these feelings ???

The sales guy had come to pressure her into looking at jewelry, she refused a few times but when the salesman saw her eying a simple set, he gave her choice away to ASR. The simple middle class girl refuses again to even try it out. She goes to help La make her selection, while Arnav had cooked up an evil plan.

"mujhe yeh kharidna hai (I want to buy this)"

Right away, he get a reaction from Khushi, he had built up this situation to have think exactly what he wanted her to with cruel intentions and hidden desperation. He left her in tremendous amount pain as La gushed over that set.

"Maine tumhari pasand ka set Lavanya ko de diya, I hope tumhe koi farq nahi padta hai"

"i gave the set you liked to Lavanya, I hope this doesn't make a difference to you"

Maybe he saw a glimpse of what he was looking for in her tears, once again he had managed to crush her, punish her harshly only because she doesn't do what he wants her to. However with Khushi's broken heart, it's he who has to work hard to keep the faraq away from his face.

While he continues inflict dard on poor Khushi, we see a repeated reminder of a fresh wound,

an symbolizing his constant agony over her engagement. Conscious effort by the CVs to keep it on him I think. Only after he can't handle her pain anymore and apologizes, does the bandage come off. A truce in this war of faraq, with her and with himself. Not that the pain becomes any less, but he does his best to deal with it, to live with it.

DROOL CORNER!!!!!!

👏👏👏Way to go Ami love the silent convo between these two,isn't that amazing they don't need words.The air in between was so loud and thick when their eyes were talking .
Even she admitted ,he would never give in ,no way...not at this moment ,I mentioned that already and even before during her revelation of engagement ,too and during Diwali night also... he would've come up with nice shatir excuse or taunt ...never ever accept that.

She is mini ASR who will not accept defeat ,her answer was a slap or in other words a bomb blast which makes you deaf but he drags her down to do the same ...She will learn eventually how to tame this wild horse...But way too painful epi.

Very nice edits Ami and deep analysis.😊

For my !28-129

Hi Arshi! great one, loved the start about mothers. You're right Mothers are given importance in IPK, the whole thing with Garima and Arnav's dad i was never prepared for in this desi serial. I wish they didn't go that way...anyway i highlight my fave parts, thanks for the great read!

Thnx for reading and commenting and liking the edits😊

Arshi, loved your take for the epi. Your connection to pearls (and to even Motilal..😆) was indeed very great.. how they keep coming back!
This convo of Garima- Khushi was much needed at that point, with Khushi going through so much emotionally. Loved your take on it and connecting it with what ASR said. Sure CVs depiction of importance of mother was indeed laudable... and Garima was not even the biological mother of Khushi and Payal, yet she was every inch a mother should be! Although never explored in full, the extent of maturity and support to which a mother or even sisters were shown initially was praise worthy. It is puzzling how ASR expected Khushi to say "Faraq padtha hai" and got all angered with her "nahin farq padtha hai" and did everything to instigate her and may be to provoke her to say what he wanted to listen.. but all is fair in love and war.. and these two are head over heels in love.. albeit unknowingly / reluctantly!

Thnx Horizon for reading and commenting.Loved this ,he wants her to say Fadak padta hai...and she is one who says it at at the Airport...first and that's what makes him to turn around.They love each other but she does not know the name of this feeling yet and he does not want to admit it.So much confusion...

~~~~ haruki murakami ~~~~
jo tum mehsoos karti ho... jo main mehsoos karta hoon, humari dhadkane ek ho jaati hai. they feel things together... heart beats racing, storms rising... and the emotions are so stirring, they reverberate long after the screen has gone black.
there was a storm, a tempest, in the episode.
and a mehsoos. a feeling, a synchrony of feelings really.
there was the rising gale and thunder of the hour, at the same time an array of reflections, equal and opposites: in visual sequences, in dialogues that kept on building that sense of what he feels is what she feels and vice versa.
with "yeh humari sagai ki angoothi hai," in 124, a hot desert wind seemed to blow in from far away and spiraled into a wild frenzy throwing all in turmoil. a tempest on the ocean, the waters restless, turning, tossing, pitching, rolling, heaving in terrifying waves, crashing on the shore. the shore reflecting the same unrest, shaken, torn, untethered, asunder.
"aur ant mein rajkumar aa jata tha..." and in the end, the prince would come... the sisters sat laughing a bit, yet both lost in private sadness about childhood dreams of rajkumar and happily ever after.
a dormant unrest in the air... then it reached khushi's eyes, she tried to deny that fantasy.
"hume bachpan mein aisi sari kahaniya sach kaise lagti thi, jiji... asli duniya mein sapno ke rajkumar kahan hote hain." why did we believe these stories were true, jiji... in the real world, where are such princes?
and yet the connection had been made. the word "rajkumar" had triggered a face, a man, a man shaking her and yelling at her... how can you be engaged, why don't i know...
a princess had chosen her prince... as if in a swayamvar, the ancient hindu ritual... no matter how many princes good or bad want your hand, you are free to choose the one you want, with just the adorning of a garland. in this case a garland of insults and angry words. from him to her and her to him, in private, only to and for each other.
she has chosen her rajkumar, and it is not the man who gave her a ring.
"asli duniya mein sapno ke rajkumar kahan hote hai..."
and the gust of wind rose to remind her... but this was no ordinary wind, it carried that storm in it... she recalled him grabbing her, beside himself with gussa...
"yahan pe toh rajkumar gussel insaan hote hain..." here the rajkumar is an angry man. "jinke naak pe har waqt gussa rehta hai..." on whose nose there's always temper (a clumsy literal translation, sorry). she hadn't read a letter from a mother... yet she knew the exact description. two women who understood him instinctively perhaps. khushi had not yet worked out the math entirely, balancing the gussa was the ability to love really big... but something in her seemed to have started getting the hints already. otherwise why would she want him as rajkumar?
a lovely sequence where two sisters talk of their princes charming and the troubles of reaching happily ever after. and in classic ipk cool, delicate writing, neither knows who the other is speaking of. are you talking of shyam ji? no. and you? about abhishek ji?
camera moved and found the reflection scene.
two siblings again in a deep discussion. asr stands staring out of his room, while his sister gets some work done talking about an "alag si bechaini" she's seen in khushi. he is in pretty much the same state as khushi emotionally... storm tossed, bechain (literally: without peace... restless). his mind grapples with the situation, and just as she had hit on the fact that he is her rajkumar, he picks on a central truth... she does not care for her fiance, perhaps he even senses she cares for him.
silently, he listened... little eye movements, understated music, then the cut and thrust of riving violin strings. and words came pouring out of him, unguarded, uncontrolled... diwali night and again now... loss of control.
"bechain hai... khush nahin toh shadi kyun kar rahi hai... aisa faisla liya hi kyun jisse baad mein pachhtana pade... khush nahin hai toh sagai kyun ki.. kisne kaha tha haan kahne ke liye... kissine zabardasti ki thi kya... jisse pyaar nahin karti jisske saath reh nahin sakti, usske saath poori zindagi kaise bitaygi?"
restless she is... if she's not happy why is she marrying... why take a decision you'll regret later... not happy, then why did she get engaged... who told her to say, yes... no one forced her... how will she spend her whole life with a man she doesn't love?
that wasn't all. he went on to:
"aur main..." and i...
then he noticed di's face and stopped. what would he have said otherwise... and i... how will i spend my whole life without her? would he have said that?
di is shocked at this tirade... a very odd response. she hasn't seen the sadness, the hopelessness on his face. the voice... and this is the boy whose voice was considered a problem at one time, is indescribably real... he was lost in another world, where his mind was in a whirl.
he realised what he'd been saying...
"chhotey..." as di tried to comfort him, ask what's the matter, he cut in... a little shallow his breathing, a strained look around his nose and lips, he just looked away, separated himself from everything, everyoone, back in his shell, needing protection, he said,
"di, i'm fine... bas kuch der ke liye mujhe akela chhordo." di, i'm fine, just leave me alone for a while.
a wild wind entered frame. he heard his own words echoing... she will marry one she doesn't love... how does he know that? he can feel her... mehsoos, this is about knowing a person viscerally without having to think or even feel, pure instinct.
"there is peace even in the storm."
~~~~ vincent van gogh ~~~~

she stood in her verandah, he in his den. the storm came out in the open and showed itself. turbulence within, howling winds and thunder clap without. classic reflections again. her fiance talked to her, his fiance rambled behind him, but they were both in their own world. each thinking only of the other... with each other.

shyam had the temerity to hold her hand and slip on a bracelet... she was too perturbed to say anything... that cutting of his hand, the roil and agony in him since her angoothi words. she could feel it all... nothing else.

flash back: ''kya hua sab toh tumhare shaadi ke baat se bahut khush lag rahe hain... lekin tum?" what happened, everyone is so happy about your wedding... but you?

shyam is talking away, but it's as though she can't see or hear him, a beautifully executed scene, rich and fascinating in subtext... he talks of date cancelling... and there's clap of thunder. ambient sound segues to a voice in her head, she hears, "tumhari sagai ho gayee... kaise... mujhe faraq padta hai dammit kyunki...!"

and again camera looks for the other side of this picture... there it is. he stands looking out of the windows by the pool as la paces right behind looking for ideas for a honeymoon. he is hearing khushi's words,"aap yeh angoothi nahi pehna sakte... yeh humari sagai ki angoothi hai... aap kya kah rahe hain humey samajh nahi aa raha..." a vulnerability in the voice, yet it seems to hurt him with its implications.

la notices he is far far away. winds race and howl, an omen in them, a feeling of all hell breaking loose. just in the tightly packed pain in his eyes is the message of a world ending.

the next morning, in the hallway a tense meeting... he wants to know what makes her bechain... he is concerned, hates to see her upset.

there's talk of the bracelet given to her by her fiance, of course he overhears and is irritated.

she hears shyam's voice on the phone and is curious about its familiar ring... who could it be? anjali wonders why khsuhi is sad... khushi avoids the question.

and then out of nowhere a face off with asr. the bracelet falls off her wrist, wonder why everything shyam gives just drops off here and there... a neat cuing of no sense of belonging, no right, no place in her life.

"apni mangetar se kehna agli baar tumhe itna sasta gift na de," tell your fiance not to give you such a cheap gift next time, he says offensively. offense by the way is sometimes the best defence.

some insults are traded as always... that choosing of each other with a very special garland made of barbs and thorns.

"itna yakin hai toh nakhush kyuin lag rahi ho..." if you have such faith in him, why are you looking unhappy? i had the feeling, her downcast face is bothering him, he wants to hurt her a bit but also make her feel better... the classic push me pull you in him in all matters khushi.

"humari baat choriye, mr raizada... par aapka bank balance to achha hai toh aap itna pareshan kyun lagte hain?" let's not talk of me, she retorts sharply, fed up with his nastiness, your bank balance is good so why are you so het up?

ask yourself... "ki aap itne nakhush kyun hain." why you are so unhappy.

and finally, she plays back to him a line he'd said just the evening before. one that had hurt her. how could it not hurt him.

"aur rahi humari baat, hum aapko batade ki hum bahut khush hain..." and as for me, let me tell you, i am very happy.

he was concerned, but her sassiness enraged him... her naak pe gussa rajkumar. and for that claim of being happy, he wanted to hit out at her. happy? without him in her life? how could she? who did she think she was?

he starts a gritted teeth barrage, but it must be curtailed.

had it come out maybe the next hurricane could have been avoided... but in this scenario, nothing to break it... and so his decision to have his engagement ceremony the very next day.

before leaving a stymied audience and tears and worry and tension all around, he stops before his antagoniser, his opponent, his everything, and gives her a long hard look... let's check out who is more "khush."

arnav singh raizada is out to ride this storm and win. not a thought in his head for anyone else... pain has transformed to anger... someone must pay.

a storm song dedicated to the two... girl you gotta love your man... take him by the hand... make him understand.

Storm indeed Indi, brilliant write up and loved all the quotes. This set of episodes could perhaps coalesce to form a "stormy" art movie.. of a different kind.. there was so much said between them .. as you rightly pointed out, a garland of barbs and thorns, .. yet the subtext was so profound and melancholic! Her recollection of her gussela rajkumar, his tirade in that room, her and his obvious oblivion to their respective fiancs, all beautifully done. Love how you bring up maa at apt junctures. He just can't see his Khushi "nakhush" ... he has to push her to the edge to get that fighting response from her. Khushi perhaps had no clue how much her "hum khush" and "farq nahin" would push him to the brink that she had to pay heavily!
Can't agree more about how symbolic nothing from Shyam stays with her was all the time. Thoroughly enjoyed Indi. Thank you.

he asked her a simple question, and though her eyes said everything, the pucker of her brow spoke of her consternation, and the wind underscored each word her heart possibly replied, yet she uttered words that conveyed just the opposite... for there was nothing else to do.

ever since her "yeh humari sagai ki angoothi hai," a tightly packed ready to burst emotion has entered the scene, an explosion lurks near.

something was intriguing really as the episode started though. he'd thrown an ultimatum at all, this engagement will happen tomorrow or never, and before leaving he'd paused and looked at her squarely in the eyes. a challenge leaping in his. so you think you're happy, let me show you how happy i am. a classic struggle of emotions intertwined, inevitable... who will admit first. who will as it's called "give in."

early life trauma had damaged both. asr had shut out "love" and latched on to money and power to negotiate life. everything had become a deal. khushi was more together in many ways, believing much in love and all the good/wholesome things of life, having given herself the support of a belief, that her parents rested in those stars up there and watched over her. and there was devi maiyya as her constant companion and "mother." yet, this man rattled her composure like none other. he made her feel different. he didn't accept her at face value. he questioned her basic goodness. he got under her skin. he became her rajkumar.👏👏👏

hard to explain, but there it was.

with asr perhaps, khushi for the first time entered the real mysteries of life.
and somewhere she started assuming she had a right over him that nothing in their relationship really gave her. interestingly, it was the same with him. he has a right to be terribly attracted to her, then terribly mean and hurtful, however only he can drive her home on diwali night and make sure she's safe while he's nastily telling her she means nothing to him. but how dare she then go and get engaged.

he's coming across as most confused and confusing. how come the shatir one is not seeing this himself.

but to get back to that thing that was intriguing me... look at her. after asr shimmies off, satisfied with his lethal move, la is in a mess, "asr ko aisa kya ho gaya, itna gussa?" what's happened to asr, so much anger?

di assures her that she would speak to chhotey. but khushi takes matters in her own hands. she knew he was mad at her, but what makes her think that she can persuade him to change his mind? in fact, even di isn't waited for... she rushes off to talk to him.

a sense of right... intimacy... perhaps even, power. and soon enough an argument that had the sound and feel of a husband wife fight.

"arnav ji..." he pauses then walks off... she chases him out to the pool, he picks up a file pretending to be busy or maybe he is.

"aap aisa kyun kar rahe hain?" why are you doing this?

"main kuch bhi karoon, mujhe tumhe jawaab dene ki koi zaroorat nahin hai." i may do whatever i wish, don't have to answer you. in your face, angry and definitely looking to engage in battle.

"par aap itni jaldi kyun...?" but why are you rushing...?

"tum hoti kaun ho mere life ke decision mein interfere karne wali..." who are you to interfere in the decisions of my life? just the kind of thing we say to those who are important enough to us. much later he'd ask her to claim her right, her "huq" over him, wasn't this also in a way a plea for the same... almost? he goaded her... what if she'd said, i'm the one to whom you matter, what would have happened to all that fight and fury in arnav singh raizada then?

"aap samajhte kya hain apne aap ko... aap ke saamne dar ke maare koi mooh nahin kholta iska matlab yeh nahin ki..." who do you think you are, she parried with equal rage, just because no one opens their mouth in front of you... she stops... she knows she's gone too far.

there's that intimacy here... who are you... who do you think you are... an entering into each others personal space... not what polite acquaintances do... this is close personal private circle stuff.

a certain sexual undertone since "tum kya kar rahi ho," in a husky torn voice. he is cut too deep. he's not really in his senses. hitting out at his tormentor; she who thinks she is the tormented one. again a classic bind of two people in a tight embrace of feelings... not neat understood clear sweet feelings, but convulsed, tumultuous, almost threatening, confusing, hardly understood ones... all of which compel and pull like a magnet.

"chumbak" is magnet in hindi, "chumban" is kiss... i think not by chance.

when anjali ji and nani ji have consulted the priest and fixed your eng- she stops short again. why? can't she say "your engagement?" he is looking at her, eyes slightly narrow... studying her expressions around that word she didn't say.

the duel continues.

if la hasn't send you... "toh kyun ayee ho"... why have you come? i won't listen to her, nor you... "so just get lost."

"nahi get lost." a sparkling khushism. "aapko sunni padegi... yeh aap ki sagai hai... koi khel nahin..." this is your engagement, not a game.

"tum mujhe samjhaogi.. tum pehle apni engagement toh sambhal lo..." you'll make me understand? first manage your own engagement...

alas... no one is "sambhalo"ing anything, both are falling apart.

"hum apni nahin... aapki sagai ki baat kar rahi hoon," not mine, i am speaking of your engagement says khushi, trying to bring him to topic and get him to see reason. quite unaware how very vulberable she's made herself with taht one assertion, how exposed and without chain mail she is now.

the warrior moves with lightning speed. he senses victory. "exactly," burn in his voice at the edges, "sagai meri hai... khushi, meri sagai ho ya na ho... kal ho ya ek saal baad ho..." he's walked closer to her, his voice is level, his eyes look deep into hers, a confrontation, he seeks an answer and in that is her defeat... rabba ve under his clear, questioning words... "tumhe usse se kya faraq padta hai..."

kya faraq padta hai.

what makes a difference, what doesn't. who makes a difference. who doesn't.

exactly... the engagement is mine... khushi, whether it happens or not... happens tomorrow or a year later... what difference does it make to you? an echo in his voice, a hollowing out, not put their by a machine, just by a breath releasing a feeling...

arnav singh raizada ko kissi ladki se koi faraq nahin padta, he'd asserted in a torrent after seeing her in red, holding her in the rain, feeling things he'd sworn he'd never feel.

yet her, "aapko usse kya farq padta hai?" had blown a hole in his carefully constructed fort faraq nahin padta, and he'd lashed right back, "mujhe kya faraq padta... mujhe faraq padta hai dammit kyunki... ?" showing his extreme vulnerability, his need, his despair.

now it was payback time. she'd ripped off his ramparts, he wasn't letting her get away with it.

what difference does it make to you... a dance around each other has started... sensuous, sinuous, ferocious, a sexual dance that seeks a culmination... in an admission, a surrender, a submission.

tell me, say his every word, look, move, shard of gussa, tell me i make a difference... baat aapki hai iss liye faraq padta hai... she answers him months later...maybe that's why it hurts him so much to go away, far from her... to her, he always made a difference... just that she didn't know how to place it before him... he was someone else's and he had told her she meant nothing to him.

a gust of wind, that storm since 124 sweeping in, it will make her say all the wrong things.

he looks at her intently, a slight swallow, the wind plays on, he tilts his head ever so slightly to catch her expression, enquiring.

in a confused disturbed voice she avers, "aap ki sagai ho ya na ho, hume kyun faraq padega?" whether yopu get engaged or not, why should it make a difference to me?

the wind was keening as though running sadly over barren moors...

and she gathers her strength, all her yearnings, into a tight slam of indifference..."suna aapne, humne kya kaha... hume koi faraq nahin padta," did you hear what i said... it makes no difference to me whatsoever. this time the echo came from a machine, it sounded distorted to him just as her "hum bahut khush hain" had sounded.

he just held her gaze and let his longings seethe. rabba ve, wasn't that its most melancholic note ever.

his gussa made his nostrils flare, he grabbed her hand and dragged her after him as he went to make his next announcement...

has television ever seen such layered sequences before? that hint at things gone by, things to come, things seen and unseen? so much in every scene, every look, breath, word? i have never hung on to every move and sound of a serial like this ever before. not likely to happen again. rabba ve.

Hi Indi 😊👏

Love your emotional track...Extremely painful to watch and read as always these epis after 124'
In black Bold ⭐️ extra ordinary ,purple is outstanding and blue are the major highlights stood up for me.

He showed her his vulnerability to her in those moments where he wants her to follow this trail slowly and accepts this FADAK but he himself is not ready .As I mentioned this in Ami's even though she would've accepted that he would come up with something to diffuse the situation and comes out pretty neat and that;s how he would've shown her "asr khabi nahin harta...but she is Mini of him ,how could she ..there is bowing down or as you said no sambhalooing...😊 from either side

But she is the one who will say these words first at Airport,Baat aapki hai isleye...Fadak padta hai...

He ie prowler to get what does he want but she isa hunter too knows how to attack and when

This poem is a follow-up to the poem 'Akash's proposal'. I had planned on writing this, that's why I did not cover Payal's reply in that poem.
Episode 132
Payal's Rejection
Phoolon mein sajaakar, dil apna kiya haazir
Par sweekar nahin kiya, samaaj ki khatir
Phir bhi sabke saamne aapka haath maanga
Phir se inkaar kiya, mere pyaar mein rangna
Kyun beech mein aagayi samaaj ki ye deewar?
Kyun isey itna chubhta hai mera pyaar?
Ek baar samaaj ki iss deewar ko hatakar dekhti
Kya kehti tab bhi, aap mujhe pasand nahin karti?
Kaash main ameer nahin, gareeb hota
To aaj main aapke kareeb hota
Mere ohdey ki sazaa mujhko hai mili
Sab kuch hai magar, mere haath hain khaali
Translation:
I presented my heart decorating it in flowers
But didn't accept because of the society
Even then, in front of everybody, asked for your hand
Again refused to get coloured by my love
Why did this wall of society come in between?
Why does it feel pricked by my love?
Once if you removed this wall of society and saw
Would you say even then, that you didn't like me?
Wish I wasn't rich, but was poor
Then I would have been close to you
I have been sentenced for my status
Everything is there, but my hands are empty

Good one Durga...phoolon mein saja kar ...yes our Akash needs all the things as Arnav said I will send Akash with million gifts to setthis deal..uhhh .boys ...

👏👏👏 Love it ,you are a shining star Angel in the poem department which runs on Durga...❤️

Payal asks Khushi if she is worried about her marriage. Khushi confesses that she doesn't want to get married this early specially since Babuji is so ill and Payal should ideally get married first (yes, some logic here, and I totally agree'I thought they cannot afford stuff but here they are planning a wedding). Payal teases her saying that Buaji wants to get rid of the Sanka Devi so they're getting her married so early Khushi gets shocked (I think payal is pained that she is not getting married first'it is my opinion'if I was her I would upset why am I not getting married first , that is just me'also she wants to make khushi feel better, and maybe that is what bua ji is doing) and says she'll get punished for this and starts tickling Payal (I do like their bonding).

Next morning, as Shyam goes inside the bathroom (I guess he is on one of those business trips again'is it me or does he go to the gupta's house in the day and make up some excuse for work at night so he can send time with his atm machine, oops I mean his wife), Anjali takes his messy clothes and leaves(awww such a sweet wife). Shyam comes out and realizes he doesn't have the ring on his finger (why would he have it on his finger that would make his genius wife suspicious for live a few seconds) and starts looking for it. But he gets worried as he remembers he'd put it in his pant pocket. Anjali gives the clothes for washing to HP. HP requests her to check the pockets first as last time Arnav had left something inside and then gotten mad at him (what a smart servant). Meanwhile, Shyam realizes that it may be with the dhobi. Anjali checks the pockets and finds some stuff. As she is checking another pant, Shyam comes and gets tensed. Anjali takes a paper out from Shyam's reaction that it's something she shouldn't see. Anjali gets puzzled seeing Motilal Jewelers (that is a guess). Shyam says that this is the receipt because he gave the ring for polishing (nice save'I don't think it takes that long for a ring to get polished'it's been like a week). Anjali says she'll get it but Shyam says he will do it himself (how many lies he has to make to cover up his one secret). He also takes the pant and says he wants to get it dry cleaned. HP says he'll take care of it. Meanwhile, Shyam takes the ring out so he agrees. As Shyam is about to leave, Anjali asks him if she is hiding something. He gave the ring for polishing without telling her and now he is not even letting her pick it up (there goes her five seconds of suspicion). Shyam says he is getting married again. Anjali starts laughing and says it is a very poor joke (well he did tell her the truth'she should not get mad if she actually finds out the truth, he did tell her). Shyam has an evil look and then he hugs her. He thinks that he's told her the truth but she doesn't believe him only (how sick). Anjali tells him never to talk like this even in humor otherwise she'll die ad hugs him again (lady be more independent). Shyam looks at her with "guilt" and apologizes. Shyam says he should go. Anjali says to wait for 5 mins since she'd stopped him midway and he agrees (oh her and her superstitions).

Arnav is talking on the phone. La says she is so happy that ASR's office is getting renovated. Now he'll be home (starting to act like his wife I see). Even Anjali says that she wants Arnav to be home till his wedding (uh he has a business to run so you and your hubby can waste his money). Nani gives La a copy of Ramcharitra Manas (I think that is right) and says thanks to Khushi, she'll have a knowledge of it. Anjali says that they're telling Khushi a white lie. Manorma overhears this and questions them.La is about to say something but Anjali covers up saying that they were talking about white shoes(is that the best should could come up with, I will give her credit for that creativity). La gets confused and asks if they were really talking about shoes because her shoes are black (she is worse than mami ji). She has white shoes though Manorma looks at her suspiciously but the door bell rings). La says it must be chamkili. Nani says her name is Khushi. La asks why she is scolding her as Khushi isn't even here yet and Anjali pinches her. Manorma gets more suspicious.

Khushi comes in the RM and almost bangs into ASR. They recall their confrontation in the kitchen. They try to move out of each other's way but keep getting in it. Finally ASR pushes her and leaves.
Everyone gets the cue and Nani starts scolding La. La gets confused but realizes Khushi is here and they continue arguing. Anjali asks Khushi to help. Khushi takes La to the temple and Nani and Anjali also leave. Manorma's suspicions are appearing she will be 007 now.

Khushi compliments La that she is a fast learner and her work will get over fast. This strikes La. The phone rings and La requests her to take it since she is reading. Khushi goes and La calls Anjali.
Khushi takes the call and someone gives her a message for Arnav. Khushi tries to avoid but in vain. She wonders how she will give him the message when they don't even talk. She realizes that it is 11:50 and the meeting is in 10 minutes.

Arnav comes inside and Khushi thinks she can't say anything. She blocks his way and starts giving him hand signals trying to convey the message and Arnav has his typical 'W*F?' face. Finally, he leaves and Khushi gets tensed realizing only 5 minutes are left. She takes a paper to write the message. La comes and tries to take her away so she quickly scribbles the message and asks OP to take the paper and ask Arnav to read it is important. But the paper falls and HP takes the Ramchritra Manas instead (HP is super, maybe because khushi is calling him by the wrong name).

Manorma comes to Anjali and tells her the Ramcharitra Manas is done but Khushi is still here, what's the catch? Anjali says there is nothing like that but Nani is calling her to talk about Akash's wedding. Manorma gets excited and leaves (good one anji). La comes and tells Anjali that she has told Khushi that she has made the food and she is worried about Nani's reaction. But Anjali says that the food is very good, how will Nani get upset? And if Mami doubts then it'll be a problem since then she'll tell Khushi everything.

Arnav is asking HP why Khushi has given him this book to read? HP says that she said it's urgent. Arnav wonders if she is mad. HP asks if he should go and ask her (LOL).Arnav asks him to shut up and leave. (maybe khushi is indirectly telling him that he should be a better person).

Everyone's getting ready for lunch. Khushi asks HP if he gave that to Arnav. HP says Arnav got very upset but took whatever she gave. Khushi murmurs that that's nothing new (tru dat). Khushi tells La that the food smells great, why she is tensed? (well because their plan will fizzle if nani likes it) Nani says only good smell of food doesn't make a meal worthwhile (that is a good point). Manorma comes and says the food is amazing. She tastes again and says everything is delicious. Khushi says that La has made great food. Manorma says now Khushi is not needed. Nani, La and Anjali get tensed seeing their plan fail and Khushi is a bit upset at the insult. Will the trio's plan fail??? Or will a miracle happen that will save them?

😊Good one Anita...love your small comments as always...The underlined scene is my fav as Khushi with her Khuism is so delightful to watch and LG just does't want to accept her importance even though one day before he was holding her in his arms and didn't want to let her go.

He is always in acrimony .nothing new for Khushi ..agreed its so true but this anger is fake...you know that😉

Shyam is one of a kind Scorpion and day by day his beauty is coming out as a shining star till Khushi's SLAP like this

Episode 129-130 :

The episodes showed the different coatings coming with love of Anjali, Arnav, Khushi, Lavanya, Mama and Mami.

Mami : Her preoccupation with jewelry and having Akash married to Miss India is hilarious. However, in between her love and concern for Arnav, Anjali and her husband can show her considerate nature. In the middle of busy marriage preparation her premonition said that Anjali was upset related to her husband. In the middle of talking with pandit she told her husband, aap to certify Karlo, that she was not going to remarry. However she also purely avoided answering him when he asked her that Arnav had not told her once about his engagement. For Mami it was her observation and double edged meaning words that sometimes makes us wonder if Mami was aware then about Arnav babu's hiding mein loveria. After all she was also there like Nani when Arnav gave the set Khushi liked to Lavanya. So if Arnav had by himself given things Khushi likes to Lavanya, he should be happy. However Mami had raised Arnav as her kid and said- to Lavanya, that dressing like Khushi would make Arnav angry. It showed Mami had rightfully guessed that the reason he had given Lavanya the set Khushi liked was not because he liked Khushi's choice, but to irk Khushi.

Anjali : She projected that she irrevocably and blindly loved Shyam. Her being positive ensured that she did not give chance to negative thoughts, and first analyzed herself to see if she was a person who does not trust a husband or she has a husband who can not be trusted. She looked for an explanation of his absence from his office she came to the conclusion she was not a psychotic wife doubting a husband over trivia leaving her with the doubt that Shyam was not to be trusted. She showed she had started doubting Shyam when Motilal jeweler said Shyam had brought a ring for her she immediately recalled Khushi's ring. After all Shyam creepwa may have the benefit of having the same name as Khushi's fianc however it would be extremely unlikely that he would also have the same choices. Showed she had not trusted him with his explanation of the ring or even the Shyali anniversary absence from cutting cake. It meant she was intelligent and knew he had been lying in both instances, however she still overlooked because the alternative was more horrible. It must be very terrible for a sibling to know that under their roof the sister was tortured. So she was silent because she did not probably want to spoil the happiness of her chote or Akash. On top she did love that creepwa. Can never explain why, like never could why a girl like Khushi would love someone like Arnav.

Mama : He was the one person in the episodes whose love was handling each one's tantrums. It was obvious he loved Mami, because when he thought Mami was going to remarry or was looking for a wife for him he was all hiked up even knowing that he had the same value as jewelry to Manorama. His level headed calm words usually carried with it the love and affection to whom he is saying them, namely mami about facts bothering him -Arnav not telling him about engagement and Mami not asking Akash about his choices.

Lavanya : She loves Arnav and was changing herself to be like Khushi. That very morning she had seen Arnav in the mirror looking at Khushi when giving her the necklace. When Arnav told Khushi," Maine tumhara pasand ka set Lavanya ko de diya" and when Arnav liked the engagement ring Khushi liked she probably was thinking, Arnav had a change of heart. So she chose a dress which was like Khushi's dress with the confidence that Arnav would like it. However just wearing the dress like Khushi did not make her Khushi. The mere fact of Arnav telling her to change her outfit made her cry and complain to the rest of the family, why Arnav is like that, why is he so angry. Was wondering what she would have done if Arnav ever acted with her like he did with Khushi, if he told her about the dresses he bought for her were tips not gifts. What would she have done if the day she knew Arnav loved her he broke her heart by saying, " Tumhe to laga hoga ek amir aadmi tomhari payal ko apna sine se laga kar rakha to mere liye tumhari or uss baat ki koyi ehmiyat nehi.".

Arnav : Have heard there are no rules in love and war. However watching Arnav had to learn a new set of rules I never thought existed before. Khushi had told him " Aapki sagai ho na ho hume Koyi faraq nehi padta" and he had told her after learning about her sagai, "Tumhari sagai ho geyi, Tume mujhe batana Zarori nehi samjha, kisiko bata kyun nehi hain ke tumhari sagai ho geyi." "Mujhe kyun faraq padta hain! Mujhe faraq padta hain kyunki…."

Was listening to what the Raizada family had sung about Arnav in Sangeet

 • "Dulha akar ki dukan hain, khudko samajhta mahaan hain, kya pyaar karegi hamare bitiya ko." (He has a huge ego, thinks he is somebody huge, how can he love our daughter) . Sure he has a huge ego no wonder he can not digest the fact that a Khushi who though her "Zindegi ban geyi" because Arnav loved said " Faraq nehi padta" for his sagai. So he wanted to see if after her sagai actually " Faraq nehi padta" when he gifted the set Khushi liked to Lavanya. He ego made him show Khushi he had moved on and if it does not matter to her, it does not to him. He refused to show Khushi the simple chivalry of standing and keeping the door open. Because in love he refused to budge to her. However he at the same time was disturbed when her dupatta was caught in the door. When she wore a beautiful dress, his huge ego assumed that even after she was engaged to some one else, even when he had broken her heart intentionally by giving the set she liked to Lavanya he had every right to touch her when he felt like it. His ego and the fact that he thought he was all powerful was evident when he said to Khushi," Tum or her fianc could not afford it and he was going to give it not as a gift but tip."
 • " Unke chupi pe ek raaz hain" His silent expressions carried a secret as it did after Khushi said, "Hum yeh bhool geye thain ke ap Arnav Singh Raizada hain aur galti karne ke baad aap kabhi maafi nehi mante." The same secret which made him move towards Khushi after he saw her in the red lehenga. The same secret in his silent expressions when he was thinking of all the times he had broken Khushi's heart and made him leave. The secret in his silent expressions was also never revealed what he was thinking when he saw Khushi disturbed after Lavanya said I love you to him and kissed him.
 • 'Hain hur se sundor titliya jise ghar jaye khushiya khushiya." Khushi just looked ethereal in the red lehenga. That was his favorite color and she was wearing a jhumka which was her favorite color. She did look like a butterfly from the heaven or a hur in that dress, the fact that she had minimal makeup and jewelry just increased her beauty. No wonder Arnav loved her.
 • Gusse mein muhabbat lipti hain ".Those lines probably eased and was an explanation of all his outbursts. So he had Lavanya have a jewelry like Khushi and saw her in dress like Khushi, and gave her the gussa he did like he gave Khushi. Too bad Lavanya failed to see the muhabbat in that Gussa. Then he had a thousand time worse Gussa towards Khushi when he said," Tum ho ya na ho, mujhe koyi faraq nehi padta, You don't even exist for me." So probably in that Gussa was entangled with Muhabbat and wanted Khushi to see that in his eyes.

Khushi : Khushi no wonder loved Arnav. Her love was because she knew Arnav's love and gusse wale mohabbat

 • " Unke pyaar mein ek andaz hain." He was her Rajkumar who was gussewala and accepted him as such. To her love a price tag made love corrupted, so she refused to accept a lehenga because she could not afford it, after all it was from a person she loved. She was someone who was thirsty for the Muhabbat in the gussa which has its own Anda and so she went to him after his outburst at Lavanya to say," I know you are angry at me so apne gussa hum pe nikaliye."
 • However the fact that highlighted her love for Arnav and her understanding his love was her, "Misri jaisi bol". Her soft words enhanced her love. Misri is sweet and sharp like the lines she said " Sapno ki duniya mein rehna hi achha hain Lavanya ji, kyun ki asli duniya main sirf dil toot te hain." and " Aap ki as paas ki log aap se kitna pyaar karte hain aapko bilkul bhi andaza nehi hain na." Sh she sweetly appreciated Lavanya being in a dreamland, and envisioned herself in her dream, where she had her rajkumar who as she saw every night and who, " Mite bolta tha, sundari ka bahut kheyal rakhta tha." She had a rakshas in asli duniya whom she loved equally because rakshas aur rajkumar were the same person,someone who broke her heart several times by his, "Karwe bol." Her love probably was something which she wanted to hide even from God because she did not want to know about it, even an ishara. She in her selfless love wanted him to get rid of all his gussa be that on her and be happy. She knew because she loved him, that only she could erase the pain in his heart and tolerate his anger. Khushi always thought of others, even when they were her enemies before herself and here it was Arnav.

I was once told if you want a rose you need to endure the thorns. So if Lavanya could not endure the gussa how was she going to have the pyaar from Arnav and but however kudos to both her and Khushi for loving a man whom as Khushi said, "Aapko koyi pyaar kare aap uska layek hi nehi hain Mr Raizada."

"what's the use of thinking... do we really make the couple... that one (god) makes them... sometimes you tihink life is a lovely dream... suddenly someone comes, you fall in love... and tehn... you get married..."

in a mother's words, the writers sent a beautiful and thought provoking message on marriage and how to seek a life partner. whenever i think of marriage i think it is the only "forever" relationship, permanent tie, we seek which is made by us. the others are all the ones we are born with. no dna link, but we want to make a lifelong partnership, make an outsider into family. we use whatever means society gives us to tie each to the other... religion, law, social rituals. because somewhere along the way we figured, this works for us. despite all its shortcomings it works, it is rather beautiful by and large, and it sustains human life. which is why despite all the challenges to this relationship, it still seems to hold sway over our imagination, emotion, intellect. some day maybe we will not have this institution called marriage.

but till such time, what garima ji tells her daughters is of great value and replete with insight. having been married nearly 30 years now, and having gone through the experience of falling and being in love, i have to say, the writers did not a single ramanchi here. just one thing maybe... garima ji speaks of what we call "love marriage," well i don't think in families like the guptas, this is considered the norm. it may be accepted under certain circumstances, but the '"arranged marriage" is what prevails here. but i shan't quibble, for i really enjoyed these words.

"aur kuch toh.. kuch toh shadiya itni jaldi jaldi tai ho jaati hai ki, hum apne aap se poochte rah jaate hain ki yeh jo bhi hum kar rahe hain kya sahi kar rahe hain? kaun hai yeh insaan jisske saath hum poori zindagi bitane ja rahe hain? hum toh theek tarah se isse jaante tak nahin... hazzaron sawal poochte hain... lekin jawab ek bhi nahin milta... kahe? ki oo jawab zindagi jeekar hi milte hain... aur kabhi wahi rishte jeevan bhar ka saath ban jaate hain..."

"and some... some weddings get fixed so fast, that we are left asking ourselves that this what we are doing, is it even right? who is this person with whom we're going to spend our whole lives? we don't even know this person well... thousands of questions we ask... but not even one answer we find... why? because that answer is found by living this life... and sometimes that relationship becomes the mainstay of ones whole life..."

of course, in her thoughtful, loving words are many hints about the future... khushi's sudden marriage with a man she barely knows, her many questions, her living with him to find the answers in time, and their relationship becoming central to both her and asr's existence. beautiful, isn't it. perfectly placed, not at all forced, a general theory of marriage and a special one.

in 128, she complete her thought.

"jeevan mein halat kaise bhi ho achhe burey... koi faraq nahin padta... jeevan saathi achha hona chahiye. bas."

"whatever may be the state of one's life, good or bad... doesn't make a difference... your life mate should be good. that's all."

koi faraq nahin padta... what a smooth assimilation of these core asr khushi words into a treatise (almost) on marriage.

life partner... somehow the word husband never says it all... this is who that person is... someone to walk this life with. jeevan saathi. and garima ji is right, if you crack this good, the rest is just detail. interestingly, in our changing times, the word partner perhaps has more resonance than husband for many. thing is, call this person what you will, here is a submission to a basic truth... we aren't geared to live alone, be all by ourselves... i know somewhere being alone is getting seen as being independent, free, master of ones own life, etc., but really, there's much to be experienced and gained from this seemingly imperfect relationship, with a jeevan saathi. my point of view, all may disagree.

"humara dil kahta hai, ki shadi ke baad tumhe jeevan ki saari khushiya mil jaayengi."

"my heart says, that after marriage you'll get all the happiness of life."

mother indeed knows best. 😊
No wonder she did not say the word Shyam, because she probably had a premonition it was not to be somehow.

in 128, a little progress on the payal khushi front. even anjali can't take akash's hesitant steps toward the woman in his dil. he's so nervous, reminds anjali of someone going to take exams. and gentle akash doesn't get mad at his lovely di's choice of words. if you've never lived with extended fam you'll never know the giving and considerate love that sometimes grows between cousins and siblings and even second and third cousins. you forget to say the word cousin, everyone is your brother or sister. i have spent much time with my father's side of the family, people i refer to as cousin are often third cousins and i remember my father used to always call his first cousins, brothers. bhai.😃 Yes and the trio of siblings are always there for each other against their own nani, parents, spouse and all. I thought usually of Mami and Nani fulfiling the role of Anjali

charged up, akash bounds off to woo his lady love again. the pretext: invitation to bhai's engagement. a rather sweet scene. buaji the abrasive martinet between two love birds cooing awkwardly. goot to say both akshay and deepali were really good here. wish they'd used these talented actors and taken payal and akash to a well told story of love, marriage, conflict, understanding, acceptance or whatever. not just sidelined them and insulted their and our intelligence.

while the sweet lovers meet at gupta house, the faraq padta hai duelists confront each other in the shantivan hallway. note the battle music... let the war dance begin.😆

"anjali ji ne toh kaha tha ki... aap nahin aa rahe hain..." anjali ji had said you won't come... helpless almost.

"kyun, tumhe kya faraq padta hai?" why, what difference does it make to you? a devil in his eyes.

then a little chicane over the issue of the ring. the moment he realised Khsuhi had recommended it, he withdrew his approval and said all he'd said was it's nice, but he'd like to see more. strangely again, the delighted lavanya, did not notice the cool response to her elated hug. really, te moment he presents himself people are happy to turn into willing slaves... er i can't ahem blame them. but, what the.

he said: main ne yeh nahin kaha mujhe pasand hai, maine kaha achhi hai... aap aur dikhaiye. then over di and la's heads, indulged in flagrant eye talk with his opponent.

a rabba vey as he sat looking at her... his eyes plotting... hurt... angry... deal maker is going to get his way.

seduction by war.

she looks at him, worried, sensing danger.

and the meanest trick on earth is about to be played.😭

"mujhe yeh khareedna hai..." he points to the set of ornaments her eyes had looked at with interest and a slight smile gleamed on her lips. he notices her, and how.

a deadly game played with a clear intention to deliver extreme hurt... asr music dresses upa battle most unfair. a deliberate walk to her... "khushi!" again that intimacy in his voice.

she's worried, confused, expectant, scared, everything, with just one move he will get her. he hands the set to her. she's all trepidation, wobbly voice, garbled words, "aap, yeh..."

the necklace is held aloft by slender hands, a gaze is fixed on her face.

"aap," a wretched whisper...

"yeh..."

"lavanya..." has a voice ever been so cold smooth cruel? "mujhe dekhna hai yeh tumpar kaisa lagta hai..." i want to see how this looks on you.

oh the hurt in her quickly averted gaze at la's "it's so pretty, tumne mere liye chhose kiya?" did you choose it for me? the liar nods.

his eyes never left her, not while he removed the hair from the nape of la's neck, not while he fixed the necklace, not while la hugged him in gratitude. one quarry he pursues
, one capitulation he craves. arjun's aim, arjun's lakshya... and she stands there hurt, breaking, slowly coming apart.😭

not satisfied with that, he strode up to her, predatory... "maine tumhare pasand ka set lavanya ko de diya..." i gave the set you liked to lavanya, he rubs it in. rabba vey... "i hope tumhe koi faraq nahin padta hai..." i hope it makes no difference to you. smooth and extremely nasty, voice turned deliberately woozy sexy, eyes calm and calculating... the meanest boy in class...

yet she loved him, and how. with asr, khushi really entered the mysteries of life. we don't make couples, the one above makes them, so many questions we ask, not a single answer comes, that comes only by living this life. rabba vey.

I loved your analysis Indi and made a rainbow of the lines I liked. I agree he played the meanest trick on earth when he bought the set and gave that to Lavanya and then asked Khushi if he cares. I read all the comments on ismailvegamze of the ARSHI scene to understand what he meant. It took me reading all of them to really understand why he did it and am still confused. I understood it was mean however the rest- of how it would matter to Khushi was confusing.After all let us say Khushi after this told - yes farq padta hain, and the same with his sagai- what would he have done? If Khushi did indeed say it mattered- she was staking her own engagement and her relationship with Raizadas and giving Arnav another nail for her coffin. We are skeptical of what Arnav would do with that nail- throw it away and get her out of the coffin or hammer it hard.
