My personal take is that there is no need to "bodyguard" an actor. If people attack an actor, then there is no need to retaliate and bash them or their favorites. Why not prove that their comments don't get you and respond in a decent, civil way? Or just not respond at all? That's how I perceive it. They're really not worth our time and bashing ruins the forum.

But that being said, there were some really really really personal and demeaning things said directly about the members in those threads. When you get targeted, then by all means, you have the RIGHT to be instigated. That rubbish should not be tolerated.

Our forum should stay active forever. It should cross 10k pgs, 100k pgs when I am 60... Please our forum shouldnt be closed by such unnecessary bashings... It is a beautiful place where we can re-live those beautiful days...

ppl hv CCs only to mock him,curse him...this is plain cheap

n if Mods will continue to entertain dem here..thn I am done wid this forum cox vaise b now I feel suffocated here..the place where I hv my ARSHI memories,Arnav memories

Mocking and ROFLing at actor's look, degrading the actor as a human being, giving them trolling names, and mocking their fans. 👍🏼

Mods.. Here are rules of the forum as posted on IF.. so what happened to these.. Are we throwing them out of the window.?

These clearly states that " Bashing and making personal attacks against any actor/actress/CVs/members/characters etc. is not allowed".

"Giving names to other fans will not be tolerated. From now on name calling, bashing other fans, or stereotyping will not be allowed""

2. Comparison Topics/Instigating Posts/Plotting: Firstly and foremost, emphasizing in any way or form that "one character/actor or show is better than the other" will not be allowed henceforth. By now, we all know instigating topics and comparison on this forum are not allowed. Some members purposely instigate others and believe they can get by with it and some plan attacks in other places and decide to disrupt the functioning of the forum. Well, it will not happen anymore.

3. Name-Calling/Stereotyping: Giving names to other fans will not be tolerated. From now on name calling, bashing other fans, or stereotyping will not be allowed. In addition, comment on the show and not the viewers. It seems like half of the posts are targeted at the viewers rather than the show. Do not pass snide remarks at viewers of the show just because their interest lies in something different from yours. Actor name calling will not be tolerated either. Calling Character names is allowed as long as they are not offensive.

7. Bashing/Personal Attacks: Bashing and making personal attacks against any actor/actress/CVs/members/characters etc. is not allowed. Make sure members know the difference between bashing and criticism. A critic is one who discusses things in perspective, never loses objectivity and states things in a logical and constructive way. But a basher is one, who states the points a bit too heavily such that, it no longer looks like criticism but looks like a total attack. Everyone have their own point of view let's respect it. You have right to raise your opinion but one should see lines ain't crossed. Avoid making posts that are abusive, derogatory, insulting or sarcastic enough to affect the sentiment of another member. This is against IF COC and won't be tolerated.
Keep a control on your sarcasm. If the mods feel that your post is no longer critiquing, but is full of sarcasm/attacks... that will be held against you.

Can the mods please answer these.. are there any rules left in IF, sorry in IPK forum at all?

In emergency situations, law will be broken. Everyone knows what BS fans are capable of. Just keeping quiet does not mean we all are dumb people, we are much useful here as well as in the real life too.

Questions

1. Is the ignore policy is applicable to BS fans only or the opposite group also.

2. Only members should not be attacked or the actors? Since I put the actor above the members here, because I joined here for them and the show, making friends is after that. So actor first.

3. Give a membership to actor also, so that he would not be attacked personally.

4. what is criticism?

5. What is bashing?

6. What is mocking?

7. What is ridiculing?

8. What is difference of opinion?

9. What is RESPECT?

Actually these people want to help us..They are telling us to check the real world..IF is not the real world and blah blah..But I did not join IF to do some social service...Freedom of speech?!? Eeeh? If mocking and making fun of celebs is freedom of speech, then do it..I have freedom of speech also..I will do what I want to do..As nowdays I see, these people don't even care about Vijay Sir also.. So, if these people are getting hate pms and all, people are bashing them (I am not saying that's the right thing to do) why so much hoopla about it!?! You are preaching us about freedom of speech and you are crying "fangirls are bashing us"! Irony, I say!👏

This problem has no solution. We will cross thousand pages, but nothing will change.

saalu, I totally understand where you're coming from, but think of it this way... In essence, what do these bashers REALLY want? In the name of "criticism", most actually just want to get under your skin, elicit a response and have their thread cross 150 pages. I just see it as counterproductive to not ignore. You're giving them exactly what they were out for in the first place - your precious time.

If we were talking business here, it's a huge loss of profit😆

I think keeping quite shows immense resilience and maturity on our part. Not to mention, it sorely hurts the egos of those so-called "critics". If you have enough faith in the actor Barun Sobti, then these trivial things should be of little concern. And Barun's reaction to his bashers was - Who are these people? 😆Now why should they have so much credibility that we feel it necessary to level the playing field w/them? I don't see a playing field to begin with.

And hell, if we're called weak for this, then I wonder how such weak fans were able to shut down a certain show for a certain actor... a certain 6 months ago 😉
