Indi this is taking me down again

she adds a lightness and innocence to the heavy emotional episode. but also, and very subtly she is there to allow us to empathise with khushi. khushi was about that age when she lost both her parents. as we see khushi suffering and pained by her own memories, our recent memory of a sweet chubby little girl sad in a temple wanting to make her father better is surely adding to our response. we have been shown how tender an age that is, and how devastated the little girl must have been. loved this 👍🏼👏

despite khushi's stars, her devotion to dm, and her constant khushigiri, there is a part of her where that pain sits thick, dense, heavy, dark. she does her best not to look at it too often or moan and mope. but it isn't humanly possible to erase it completely.
yes only she knows it and she is a woman in action as she proved at so many times especially during kidnapping

another thing. when you are in such a state, the one who comes and gives you hope, makes you feel better you attach to them in a different way. asr went to the little girl, helped her, then sent her home. the girl will never forget this man. khushi's babuji came and held her in a time of shattering and took her home. can khushi ever forget this man? he was not related to her, she was the niece of his second wife, yet he embraced her, protected her, and became her father, more than that. her love and her gratitude and born of that, her right over him, all are complete and the purest feeling on earth. Awesome explanation and yes very earthy emotions are attached with this

in this episode, both these aspects of khushi's character come to light and continue the story poignantly. but everything had started climbing to the next level at the ajeeb stage really, and grown through all the games of khushi's-believe-it-or-not-gaming arcade, la la land, and the thief of lucknow. the lopsided smile, the long look exchanged while his girlfriend rubbed his cheek, the earring and the dupatta embroilment, the tum theek ho, an incredibly huge emotion had started spreading its roots and anchoring firmly through these tiny almost fleeting moments. in them seems rode hamesha.👏👏👏

so happened that all this happened just when the most tough time of the year for him was coming up. into the middle of that khushi charged her shaadi brigade. and all feelings went haywire. yet what had begun to grow, would not be denied. just that we'd see its most demanding and ugly face... as we did much later on a dark february night. but did anyone ever say that love had only a nice side? and isn't it true that we tend to take out our frustration on those we love and are closest to, while choosing to be polite and nice to people at a distance? it is strange, but then that's how it is. i have tried much to change this in my life, but really have failed. irritation in me means someone at home is going to get it, not the casual visitor. asr never showed his pain to anyone, not even di (how quickly he piulled back the evning before after giving in to his feelings for a few seconds), yet he let it all out in a nasty session to khushi. says something, doesn't it?
yeap we become mad with those who we love the most but he was nasty

when having seen him with the child, having realised he is going through hell, and really wanting to reach out and help him,
khushi came and said his eyes were like his mother's, his pent up pain, sadness, helplessness, everything, everything that he could never talk to anyone about just crashed and shot up and fulminated like that flour from the box that khushi threw on the floor the day before in the kitchen. the force of it engulfed her and tossed violently her own agony within.
Her pain has no limit

khushi would have left but for naniji. and of course, when he saw her with the platter filled with things meant for his parents' anniversary prayer, he grabbed it from her.
she couldn't leave Nanji but he was adamant to hurt her because what ever happened yesterday as she called him Character Dheela
"i told you to go."

"woh nani ji ne..."

anjali's pain is expressed in sharp contrast to her brother's. she becomes more tender, sensitive, concerned. "aapko apne amma aur bauji ki yaad aa rahi hai?" you're remembering your parents? anjali knows of khushi's background.
SHe was aware of that and concerned like an older sis😊
and khushi becomes 8 years old again before our eyes, like that little girl in the temple. the eager nod, trusting, wanting her parents back. they never do return. then the 18 year old spunky kid who has taken on this world in her own way returns and says what all those who have lost say to themselves and others all over the world:

"aur kar bhi kya sakte hain, anjali ji, jo guzar jaate hai, hum unhe kitna bhi bula lein, woh wapas nahin aate hain. sirf unki yaad aati hai."
what else can we do, anjali ji, those who pass on, however much we may call them, they don't return. only their memories come.

anjali completes the thought beautifully: their memories and their blessings on us.

unknown to both a young man watches and his devastated anew. what's has he gone and done. his cruelty is at last noticed by him. "yeh maine kya kar diya... mujhe iss tarah baat nahin karne chahiye this." what have i gone and done, i shouldn't have spoken this way.
he must apologise. but jai prakash interrupts him about some call.
"main phone uthaunga ya pooja mein baithunga," always in character, brusque. he's looking for her, and she's gone.

khushi khushi... she's not there.
He could feel her pain now and he knows she is the one who did understand his pain

sanaya was outstanding in her scenes today. especially when she practically transforms into a little kid at anjali's question and then gives in to the offered hug, letting her tears flow. then she returns home to hear her babuji isn't well. why didn't anyone call me? she's frantic. frenetic chucking of bag and she rushes into the bedroom, to hug and hold close the man who made sure a girl of eight didn't lose her childhood. why do i get the feeling that what di is to asr, babuji is to khushi? someone who keeps it all steady. someone, looking at whom, they want to go to the next day, do something. live.
She has no limit of her pain in one day she went through a lot😭

this story was as much about khushi as about asr. that's why we all keep coming back... for there was something real here and every character mattered. when we come to the episodes when that nature of ipk changes it will be difficult. but this episode? wonderful writing, direction, performance, screenplay design, dialogues, and of course, music, rabba vey around his harshness, in their tears and anger and inexpressible sadness. the music knows them better than they know themselves.

the shradh scene. in death also you remain family. mother daughter sister aunt. a grandson consoles his grandmother. he's getting his nightmare, hands clenched.

👏👏👏Loved the way you describe the ASR and Khushi's hurt and yes its a very sensitive and touchy issue as they both lost their parents and went through a lot in their life.ASR is afraid of his past and that past is controlling his present .He is going through a lot and will go through a lot too before he will get to his Khushi.Lots of purple and blue and red.My comments are in red

For Khushi this is coming in my head

The same girl who laughs and talks a lot and seems very happy is also the girl who may cry herself to sleep...

they showed him being really practically psycho and then went off looking for a b-grade movie baddie. ah well.

Hi Indi: your butting in is most appreciated. About Khushi with you all way. The child- woman part, the makers ONLY intended it but never really showcased it. After watching their other shows, now I realize it is the forte of this team to let down women big time.. I apologize for my rather caustic remarks.. but can't help it... I saw a woman in Khushi ONLY very rarely.. in instances like these.. where as a feisty girl she gives it back to the caller making blank calls saying " ghar me maa/ behen nahin hai kya".. and the very next min.. the woman in her feels HER man!! Even her tender age, big bad world, nothing convinces me for her ways later on!

About Shyam, again you are bang on. Yes even I saw that scene yday where other lawyers have all good things to say about him. He is some one whose shades changed rather dramatically overnight without any justification. I could see a very believable BIL in him let down only by the universal weakness for pretty women. That's why I cried immensely with/ for ASR on the day of the terrace scene.. as he didn't loose just his own love.. but his BIL.. whom he always respected and most of the times abided .. such a great loss!

ok goosebumps. that line in pink, not in all the many discussions we've had about that night, has this aspect been touched upon. yes, asr lost his love (or so he believed) and his bil (and so it was) that night. 👏 👏 👏. thank you so much for that. again trust broken, beyond belief. by a man and a woman (whom he always viewed with suspicion thanks to the woman in his dad's life... a story that was never ever explored), just like that night of another wedding. see it from here, and his crazy actions become even more understandable. that night he had to protect di, tonight again. and how wonderfully he transfers all his personal panic and sense of loss quickly to one of what is his duty. and goes for it.

when people lose something precious, it is useful to have something to look after, make whole, in that positive action, something beneficial asserts itself i guess. otherwise we may not even want to live. both nights brought him untold tragedy.

how i wish they had pursued the original story and taken us into that night trapped inside him in a flashback of about five key scenes, sound of shehnai, and "maa"

in red, again lovely, yes there were these incredibly woman moments. many times really. though sometimes they just didn't let it come, cut it off, like when she watched him in the akhada, muscles rippling, and desire began to seep in overcoming her need to teach him a lesson. we will talk about that whole lesson teaching thing somewhere else i guess 😉. but never is khushi allowed to feel desire, only bahuria love, whatever that is. thanks for telling me about production house's regressive tendencies. but i blame channel equally. just see how women are presented. a feudal/patriarchal take on us. we are not people. we are property, we are roles. constantly showing us as people who do things for family and tradition. no desires of our own, no existence of our own, unless it is tied to some aspect of the family. this is slowly becoming completely untenable for me.

which is why i adore asr more... he constantly treats women as people, not a group, who must be subjugated to a man's superior will. don't change for me... to la, to khushi. work. kuchh dhang ka karo... not no need to work because you are hamare ghar ke bahu and i am billionaire. oh so many instances. with la too, it's one on one, person to person, not man to woman who has a role. even nani to some extent has this progressive attitude toward girls, only in the case of la, she can't think straight... till she does..

sorry, will let you go, i am rambling madly. this issue just gets me. and it's time media grew up and played fair with its largest consumer base.

thanks for all your comments on 82. i loved your last line, yes, the girl who laughs and talks nonstop, does have tears deep in her heart. just as meeting her will touch him and allow him to unlock, evolve... so will meeting him allow her to feel her pain... finally. for all her love for her family, somewhere back of mind she's known they are her adopted people, she has a sense of fear of losing them in her perhaps and she tries all she can to show her extreme love, as do they. this is not a stated thing, but a subconscious one.

with asr, once they give their love to each other and post that telepathic conversation, she will for the first time in her life, be in a relationship where she has a certain right over it. he is hers as much as she is his... hum toh aap hi ke hain. i feel as she feels more secure thanks to this, she will let her fears and hidden pain come to the fore, knowing he's there to always hold her, help her assuage that terrible day and what remains of it within.

none of this of course happened. but in season 2... 😉😆

Khushi's pain has no limit.She is one selfless person and she knows unintentionally she is the cause of La's pain which she can't bear.Naniji is happy but her words are more hurtful to her.

Perfect motive but odd timing in this triangle. Anjali's worries for Khushi shows her sweet nature and bonding in these two souls as Mothers[DM and their moms] know the best in this case.

Symbolism and connection:He gives Navratri's things to Khushi.How beautiful as I explained above Navratri------9 days----Chai--------meaning life giving as its written by FATE he is our cupid he is giving life to Khushi and Arnav relation .

Anjali is worried about Chote as he needs someone in his life who can love him and care about him she has no idea as Khushi is going to cross every limit with that.OK guys don't know about you but I did not like him touching Anjali today at all.
shyam is disgusting for sure. his hypocrisy is too irking.

Kushi calls La but she refuses to deviate from her decision to please Arnav as he did not stop her while she was leaving. Love La here she did acknowledge Khushi and her triumphs for making things better in La's life.Sweet...Khushi plz learn something from La over here...
La is a good human being.

Symbolism and connection:La's reflection as she is totally unaware of Khushi and Arnav's equation.Clock time is approx 3 and 3 closet doors as this # represents success as she will be back for a while.

Then Khushi calls up Anjali to do something to get them back together but amazingly Arnav picks up the phone. Khushi gets scared & disconnects the phone.He damn knows its her.[The same thing happens when she calls during remarriage in Buaji's voice and here comes "shut up Khushi]
the scene was hilarious. when Arnav caught her, she commented kaan hai ya jhuth pakarne ka machine.. ASR is smart indeed.👍🏼
She calls second time and he stares the phone first and then picks up but she can't be able to say anything and disconnects again.Love stern look of Arnav here. Khushi, "Woh phone peh thora hi na kha jaye ga"[

He will not eat you on phone} Selfless cookie is doing all of this for La.Love her plea to DM .I love Babuji here he is such a sweet father and his love for her is immensely visible through his smile over her childish moves.She calls again 3^rd time by saying DM's name three time [# 3 for victory]

Symbolism and connection:Two jars on Khushi's table are closer now [as these were apart in epi 58-59 ]as relationship among all is getting gripping and riveting and the sexual tension among these two is increasing too especially from Arnav's side.

ASR with his tone ,"Jab koi baat nahin karni tou phone kar keh mera waqt kyuon barbad kar rahi ho KKG" [if you don't want to speak then why wasting my time]

Khushi jerks up,"How does he know its me"..Bewaqoof girl he always knows ,you are the one taking forever to get it...uhhh...Khushi tries to clear her side to make him understand its all her fault not La's but he is not in a mood to listen any of this.

Pause here:He is relaxed by this break up and does not like a bit that Khushi is not getting it.He is not angry just upset with her over her innocent brain which is not getting his vibes.
He is relaxed and relieved also. La's presence was kind of irritating for him. and her incessant demand for marriage was annoying him more.

Khushi and her bright ideas writing a love letter to Arnav from La but this letter is sending wrong signals to Buaji for Slitherwa...yikes...and breaking Payal's ventilation system how can she love ASR. Payal's brian is on vacation and will be resumed when Arnav will patch her up with Akash.
Payal's brain stays in vacation most of the time. we certainly felt it more after their marriage.
She is right at one thing if DM wants them to be together then there is no need of this love letter.

You Paagal Khushi , DM and all the mothers' union of the star world got you your guy and he is right in front of you,your LG.Sheesh...

Pause here:there it comes which he did not say in the room while seeing La in bridal outfit and Khushi in the BR.He wants Khushi to acknowledge this fact that she cares about him and vise versa but at the same time he does not want to give in as he does not believe in Love and all ... but her side is still thinking its her fault and La loves him so why does she has to come in the middle as
