One of the epic episode of IPK.
Khushi fainted, Arnav picked her up in his strong arm, placed her on a bench and broke her fast. amazing scene! The sounds of the bell of the temple in background made the scene more significant. But Khushi was mad at ASR to break her fast before the pooja. She moved away, but tilted again due to weakness. Her man was ready again to protect her."Hamesha sambhala".He hold her passionately and their close proximity made Khushi agitated. Another beautifully taken shot, how they stood, touching their body together.
In the mandir Payal met Anjali along with the whole family. To see Payal Akash got happy and it didn't go unnoticed by sweet sis Anjali. She stopped her to do the pooja with them. Mami was not liking it obviously. Lavanya was also giving envious look to the Gupta sisters. Loved Mami's compliment for Lavanya," Air condition blouse"! Gosh Mami is so funny! She sometimes used to make very appropriate remarks.

Khushi entered the mandir, followed by Arnav. Arnav's gaze was stuck at Khushi. Both were stealing glances during the pooja.

Sly Shyam was tracking Khushi and kept calling everyone to find out the situation. After giving Khushi the final warning to get out from the mandir he parked the car in front of the mandir. Anjali's mystery husband's identity is about to reveal!

hi sohara,
lovely take. pink bold, i so agree. all in pink, very nice. best of all purplre bold italic underlined. that sly shyam. 😡 🤢
was a beautiful episode. and mamiji is really one oof my favourites, i enjoyed her blouse talk and that "pets name" thing. she does say appropriate things as you point out, chief chorus as she is of this beautiful drama.

Episode 41

The mandir is crowded today, Puja/aarti is in progression. Two hearts in this crowd only see each other. In all the noise, they hear each other loud and clear, their constant magnetic force towards each other is heart stopping yet so subtle meant to be a secret just between the two. We can feel both hearts aflutter, with a dose of confustion added in...

Arnav slowly steps up beside Khushi to do aarti due to Anjali's insistance. The most loving look in his eyes for her, he looks down at the thaal

He takes a hold of both the thaal and her hands, causing a spark (zor ka jatka) felt to the core by both...☺️

Khushi, a bit taken back by his "batameezi" as his face reads it was intentional, quickly removes her hands and steps back but no control of her own eyes, they only seek him.

A normally devout gal to her God, had some trouble concentrating today, her mind and eyes kept defaulting to him...
[Aarti is usually performed together by couples as they are considered one in Gods eyes, here they both hold the aarti thaal together, just for a moment hinting to the future...]

Arnav passes the aarti to La, no hand holding here, just a quick pass with one hand and his head automatically turns to Khushi, and she almost waiting for him to do so returns his looks.

The song brings these words "ek dooje ke bandhan mein band gaye hai aise(we are binded by eachother)" these two sneaking look from sides of their eyes like...so cute

The aarti ends and the pull between the two loosens...just a bit as Arnav make his way to back of the mandir. A heartbroken Anjali looks around with envy as fasts are broken. one can't help but be elated as Khushi gets to eat, yay!!!

Lavanya finds Arnav, asking him to break this fast. He was going to break her fast because Di told him to, but before he had a chance, she hands him the sweet, grabs his hand and feeds herself, kind of cute, but does that count?

While La indulged in her sweet, Khushi in the back froze, almost pale, overcome with an unknown emotion to her, she looked as she wanted to cry...as she tried to come to terms with this feeling,

La asks Arnav "are you happy i kept this fast for you?"
Somewhere he feels bad because he knows she is more vested than he...so he tries to let her know with out breaking her heart "you know i don't believe in this stuff, tum ye bewaja.."
"Bewaja nahi ASR (its not without reason)!" she cuts him off "i like doing it for you" Arnav stay mum, doesn't want to break her hear, what a softy inside ❤️
La notices Khushi standing on their right, she had noticed how he took the aarti thaal from her, so what a perfect opportunity to mark her man she thought and plants a kiss on ASR's cheek.

Also aware of Khushi, instinctively he turns straight for her and found her with that emotion on her face staring right back at him

...she musters up some courage, and looks away, taking a moment then frantically tries to light her match...all the while him watching her every second ...all of it...

"love you ASR" La brings his attention back back to her, "i better go, getting late" with Arnavs nod she leaves

and Arnav tries to make sense of Khushi's expression again. She looks back at him and i swear i hear him asking
"What happened? are you ok?"

she answers "nothing" and looks down

he is not convinced...

La give her a not- so-pleasant look before leaving...understandably. Khushi and Paya say their byes to Anjali and walks towards their exit...Akaash and Payal look at eachother with a soft look. Akaash was not ready to say bye to his future love, and neither was his brother. Every step she took, he watch, so lovingly, she tried to not be so obvious but uncontrollably she had to turn around and look at his one last time...DHAK DHAK DHAK DHAK (silent ones for now)

Arnav and the rest of the family try to advise Anjali to eat something while she waits for her husband. Stubborn at times like her brother "aaj hum kisi ki baat nahi sunenge, not listening to anyone today, i have full faith in my God and my husband and i'll continue the puja till he gets here"

She looks back to God, the wind starts to blow,a conch sound and music adding to the drama, indicating something big is about to happen. she makes her way back to God picking up the candles and continues her prayers, the whole family surrounding her and all of them a bit heartbroken for their beloved daughter.

A dark shadow emerges in the back, Anjali feels it and turns to find her husband. unable to control her smiling tears. He is here, he is FINALLY here.

After showing her gratitude to God for bringing him, she walks to him as fast as her one good leg would allow. "I knew you would come" she tells him, we hear his voice "phir bhi aap phone kar ke poochh ti hai? hum aapka bharosa kaise tod sakte Raani Sahiba (how can i break you trust, Raani Sahiba)"*que dramtic music *gasp! I KNEW IT!!!!*

Its revealed the Anjali's husband is none other that Shyaam babua, explains his weird behavior when the Raizadas were mentioned, he turns out to be a dark shadow indeed. The rest of the family smiles at Anjali's happiness and gather around. Before long, she notices his crutch "Yeh kaise hua?(how did this happen)" she asks. "Jijaji, aap baith jaaiye" Arnav insists.S this show his concern for the man that keeps his Di so happy. IMO After Anjali, Arnav is the biggest victim of Shyaam deciet. hyam took so much from the two women that mean EVERYTHING to him.

Arnvs smirks seeing his sis so happy!!! amazing little details

"no big deal saale sahaab, it was a tiny accident, will tell you when we get home, for now the first think i want to do is open my Raani Saaheba's vrat" everyone in awe of his love for his wife.."Raani Sahhiba, aapki hasi ki tarah aapke aansoo bhi kimti hai, inhe apne paas sambhaal ke rakhen, yu inhe girne mat dijiye (your tears are just as priceless as you smile, keep them safe)."

He sure knows how to talk and is obviously a master of deceit. Every good story needs a villain, it remains to be seen if he is our villain or just a guy who made a "ghalati, jo chahne par bhi sudhari nahi jaati (mistake that can't be fixed)" , but one thing is certain, this story got a whole lot interesting!

"bhaiyaa ji, rukiye!" Khushi stops her rickshow the second she realises she forgot her thaal. Understandably, she was very destracted today from the second she walked into that mandir to the second she walked out, but she blamed it on her hunger "bhookh insaan ko kya kya karva deta ha, hai na?"

The episode ends Khushi's horrid look while Shyaam breaks Anjali's fast inside...did she see him?

Makers brilliantly give us a preview of the future in the first 3 minutes:

-Teej, sindoor, fast breaking, and now holding Aarti together in front of God, all pointing towards Arnav and Khushi's union in the future

-Arnav doesn't stay with La in the front, he steps back with attention and eyes completely on Khushi

-Khushi steps aside when Arnav comes to console Anjali, not wanting to come b/w the brother and sister.

-Akaash and Payal celebrating Teej together as they are also meant-to-be

-Maami's looks at Payal with disgust when Payal is performing her aarti, foresight into her nasty behavior with future her daughter-in-law.

DROOL CORNER!!!!!!!!

THIS IS MY FAV

This one gave me butterflies as he inquired about Khushi's feeling after La's kiss left poor Khushi traumatized😆 ❤️

Hey Ami

Good one.Blue are my fav-----Green ---totally agreed and Purple-fantastic
Indeed they both were talking to each other with their eyes and can totally understand each other but totally unaware of it.👏

Khushi was a bit jealous and had no clue about it.I just loved both of them in this epi.He was so gentle and soft today like he knew she fainted and weak because of fastening so he diverted her attention by his light flirts,the same he did during Karva Chauth later in 2012 but with passion as they were married at that time with blooming love.me love❤️ it.ONE OF THE PIC IN DROOL IS MY FAV

Yes Samin they are talking with each other now with eyes and can understand every word but their acknowledgement is confusing and a bit scary from Khushi side.Put yourself in a middle class gal shoes it is not easy.EGO is the main cause here.Both of them are stubborn and that is their style of LOVE which we love😊

Thnx Ami for your kind words

Water is in these epis is one of the most important element .Future has been laid out completely and on Mon epi Shyam's and Anjali side will be laid out and we just have to see how this lay out will play.

@INDI
hi arshi,
deception and temptation, mixed with faith and sacredness, lovely picture you draw. in red 😳lovely. in purple 👏 verra verra nice. the great deceiver is here at last. but i love what you write about the couple who have no idea what's happened to them but can't keep their eyes off each other and those connections to other times you make.

Thnx Indi
for the feedback.Yes Villan has arrived to spice up things as he is my rook who is armored in lies and deceits to attack all sides .Game is going forward with its plan coarse.Bafflement is the beauty I love it in between Arshi because their silent communication skill is building up its momentum which is going to turn into telepathy.Lovely stuff

i do not believe in rituals, but there was something sacred in those moments up there. and their interludes were indeed poetry, saying like great poems much more than what's apparent to the eye. you had to listen with your heart.

not too many television shows bring this level of communication. for this i really thank each and everyone involved with this show. i've been thinking about 40, and there's a conch shell blowing through it, and red rising, a man walks before all with a woman in his arms, taking her responsibility, making her his own, being hers. but neither he nor she really know it, perhaps that's the beauty of it all.

"the secret and the sacred are sisters. when the secret is not respected, the sacred vanishes. consequently, reflection should not shine to severe or aggressive a light on the world of the soul."
~~~ john o'donahue, anam cara: a book of celtic wisdom ~~~
i have no idea what the soul really is or if it exists at all. but something other than the material does indeed fill our universe. it was in his eyes, his arm around her so gentle and caring, his hand reaching out to support her head as he held the glass of water to her lips. "khushi... khushi..." he called, a bit beside himself with worry. but her last words to you had been harsh and full of accusations about the kind of man you are. yet, you look at her with eyes that only worry and care.
she hadn't kept a fast willingly. but it was someone's will. he wasn't meant to open her fast with the first drops of water, but looked like something or someone had meant it to happen just that way. sindoor smeared them both by a holy tree where wishes hang on ties full of faith. by shiv parvati's temple, he completed the task entrusted to husbands, and she drank the water before remembering to protest. 108 years had parvati waited for shiv to come to her, there was a sense of their fulfilment in those seconds that he held the glass to her lips, and she let the water flow into her.
when she had had her fill, her focus restored, she was upset with him for ruining her fast. but i wonder, khushi, would you have just taken a glass from a perfect stranger then and drunk something without knowing what it was? or is it that your senses beyond the counted five knew this was no stranger? knew he was to be trusted? knew that water was to be given by him and none else?
water. one of the four elements. and the elements play a central role in iss pyaar ko. not by accident surely, the name of the larger than life, riveting man around whom this story revolves, is arnav, ocean. water in the end is perhaps the most assertive element of all, dousing even fire. and since we are talking about shiv, can't help but remember it was in his locks that he captured the waters of ganga and then let her flow.
of water and its shore, happiness, a tale unfolds. and their ebb and flow toward and away from each other is mesmerising as ever.
he comes to her, she rests against him, she resists, and turns away. again a spell. no, it isn't time. stay still, be with him.
instead of thanking him for saving her, she of course berates him. since when do lovers have to behave within the bounds of normalcy. so off she goes. he is upset, "
mujhe nahi pata tha ki tiumhara... tum behosh ho rahi thi," "i hadn't realised that you (were fasting, perhaps he meant to say)... you were about to faint..." she stalks away, but in seconds she's dizzy again. he comes yet again to catch her. swiftly, forgetting his anger, her unreasonable words... everything but...
they have the right it seems to be mad at each other and save and be saved byu each other too. only one relationship i have encountered that's like that in life.grimly, he tells her "
pehle do kadam chalna sikho, phir mooh kholna," "first learn to walk a couple of steps, then open your mouth." children shouldn't open their mouths. oh, he is angry. was there a little referenvce to her yelling at him the other day?
this time, no letting her go. heholds on. she's shocked, then her eyes change, they wonder, they wander.her hand clings to his jacket, his hand firm on her shoulder. the spinning has stopped yet they stand. and time pauses to take in the scene. he's looking at her, angry, but rapt. her hand was on his heart. what did it hear?
"i have always been fascinated by the ocean, to dip a limb beneath its surface and know that i'm touching eternity, that it goes on forever until it begins here again."
~~~ lauren destefano, wither ~~~

tears well up in her eyes. why? where do they come from? from a place of sadness? or of feelings that confuse her, that just ask to flow out and feel the sunlight, the air around? to breathe, to grow?

she steps away,
and it's ebb again.

but the mind keeps flowing toward each other. the eyes won't rest till they see what they desire. heads turn, gazes shift, a current of awareness keep khushi and asr firmly tied to each other, on a day that is all about making and keeping ties.

beautiful direction and emotion play. and completing the episode many nuances of story.

"anjali ji, aap ki thaal... shayad galati se khushi ke paas aa gayi thi."
something of anjali's is with khushi by mistake. payal returns it to anjali, perhaps an indication that she will play a major role in rectifyingkhushi's galati.

"maaf kijiye anjali ji, par pata nahin kaise yeh aapki amanat hamare paas aa gayi"
pata nahin kaise... don't know how. this is so true of shyam's involvement with khushi. she didn't know the man found her attractive, she didn't know he was married, didn't know he was married to anjali.
but khushi will keep anjali's "amanat" safely, as she says later, make sure it is returned to anjali. poignant, and truly sad for both the girls, this ungodly switch. if only it were just about a thaal.

"kabhi kabhi bado ki baat bhi maan leni chahiye"
finally, akash opens his mouth. his dream girl, his dupattewali stands there, his di has conspired to keep her back for the diya lighting, and now when it looks like there's a possiblity of the sisters stayiong back here for the puja and there's much yes... no... around it, the boy can't hold back anymore. he says what he has to. ooops, did his only mother hear his words?

"aur humka blouj ke pay-ttern bhi bahuthe achha laga... ekdam aircondisioned... jharokedar."
how to leave without paying tribute to and giving respect to one of the best dialogue giver in the show. lavanya didn't know what she got, a compliment or a censure? but mami seems quite determined to keep la happy, after all she might solve the problem of arnav bitwa's inconvenient bachelorhood. and since both are so good at giving "pets names," maybe another hot jodi is about to come together today in this very temple.

"aap janti hain na aapse kitna pyaar karte hain"
"you know how much i love you, don't you?" my first big peeve since show started. why this tacky "disguise" of shyam's voice? surely, with the hints dropped piling higher than khushi's mountain of jalebis, we all kinda knew who the guy was. poor anjali, waits there with full faith. so terribly dependent on this man, who perhaps by marrying her gave her a sense of herself. born with a disability, she was fragile enough, then had come the shattered the incident at sheesh mahal. and though we see the visible signs of taht tragedy in asr, the seemingly happy anjali remains fractured and fragile inside, her husband her crutch. i see chhote and yeh as her two mainstays. if either is taken out or messed with, anjali will feel the impact.

sfx: breeze swirls and rises, then envelops all...
did you hear the breeze over those first moments of episode as he stops her fall, pulls her close, lifts her in his arms and gazes at her? how full of thought, emotion, music. calling out to the ocean, tying water to the heavens above, heartbeat to heartbeat. some of the best dialogues in it, just listen?

Hey Indi

Just lovely as usual.Blue adorable.Purple me like and RED is outstanding.You have pretty much same points as I had.I just loved their silent convo sessions as they are developing now which are unintentionally and the will reach to the level of telepathy in this tom and jerry race till they become one and that is the beauty of this show.Their mutual stuff remain within and nobody has to know or they have to justify it to anyone.Loved it❤️

hi everyone,

just felt like sharing this one on barun; i wrote it a while back, this has been posted in a couple of other threads, but i sort of like it and so wanted to bring it here too. hope you enjoy. 😃 his answer to "if not acting, then what," in his recent interview, reminded me of this piece.

sometimes you are just not cut out to be a doctor, lawyer, ca, engineer. you never do well in school. the marks aren't what please people. an idea takes shape and gets set in the mind: you aren't good at anything, not anything useful at least. what's the point of all that cricket and footer playing, won't earn you a living. you try to keep cool, dreading and half believing what you hear is true, other half not that sure. maybe a kind young friend, a bright girl with good marks even, comes along and looks at you with eyes that believe differently. you carry on, move on to a job, a bit of a last resort type of job where the ones who couldn't be a doctor engineer lawyer seek a salary. seven years on, a friend of yours passes your photograph to a production house looking for a "cheap" actor. in a couple of years, the colour of your eyes is being debated by doctors engineers lawyers copywriters derivatives traders. when you appear on a small screen with your fake hermes shoes, girls chuck their big birkins and other bagwatis to one side and sit down to gaze at you rapt. when you go missing, mothers offer mannats. when you have sadness in your eyes, we cry and write shayari, when you smile that smile we clutch our hearts and swoon (savvy writes shayari). our children know when not to disturb mommy. our husbands try to believe something good will come of all this since there's no way out. no no not v, his name starts with b, b, can be heard at cocktail parties and dinners, also where women congregate to discuss serious world matters. men want you to know there's an asr in them. women pretend they're getting taken in. oh there's poetry, philosophy, kismet, karma, the power of love in the story of you. but most of all, thank g you were not cut out to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, ca, head of treasury.

now get back to where you belong, sir, and do something about that pout.

(that pout was a reference to the night in captivity that he dreams she's come to him. she in blue and white, colours of the ocean, he in pearlescent white.)
