This is something I have been thinking about ever since this track started. As we know, Arshi consummated the night before the remarriage. As some of us believe, Arshi was supposed to separate before (or after) remarriage. All the signs and symbols were hinting towards that. Then PH changed their mind at the last minute (am not sure why - maybe due to fans demand or Barun's notice) and remarriage happened smoothly (too smoothly in my opinion).
I think the way the track was supposed to go was Arshi separated before the remarriage, maybe due to MU (arnav becomes back, but khushi disappears before that thinking ASR won't come back). Then Khushi goes back to Lucknow and becomes pregnant. When khushi leaves, NK goes with her as he has always maintained he would be on her side as her friend. Khushi becomes independent and supports herself and her son.
The show takes a leap and maybe 5-6 years after that ASR meets Aarav. Aanav realizes Aarav is too much like him. I think that's why the child actor was trained to behave like ASR. Then following Aarav he eventually finds out Khushi. He wants khushi back and wants to tell her that he came back for her on that fateful night. But, he sees NK with her and misunderstands thinking khushi is now with NK. Then, khushi hates ASR for abandoning her and ASR misunderstands khushi for NK. Push and pull. Intensity and rabba ve back. Nafrat paas aane na de, mohabbat door jaane na de. Tagline remains.
I think this is how the CVs had originally planned the track. Then they changed it and Aarav became Sheeta's (ASR's ex's) son and Sheetal became an independent single mother which was supposed to be khushi's role. I do think Sheetal is fake though.
