Barun vs Daljeet a Debate : Note pg 6;43;47, 48

Barun Sobti took a leave of 45 days for shooting for a movie.
I think this is the first time any PH has given any actor such a long term leave because of his movie shoots.
It may seem as a wrong moves by the CVs.But maybe they have no other options left.SaRun are the pillars of this show.Without any of them the show will go down the drains.So the PH had no options left other than giving him leave.
So I am not blaming the PH here.
But the PH did a big blunder by negotiating with Daljeet.
The PH did not handle the situation well.
But Daljeet is a clever lady.She took advantage of the situation smartly.

Viewer's Point of View:

I personally feel Barun's leave did lesser harm to the show.
The kidnapping track was unexpectedly good.
We got to see a mature and dignified Khushi.
Even the extent of Khushi's love for Arnav was portrayed in this track.
The track had suspense,romance and drama.
The majority of the TRP audience did not kow about Barun's leave.
They saw the track as a part of the story.
The show was among top 10 shows during the kidnapping track.
But due to Barun's long this track was dragged too much.
Still we did not loose viewers.
Once Barun came back and ArShi united the TRPs rose to 3.3.

But it was because of Daljeet's negotiation we lost a large number of loyal viewers.
The redemption track was skipped to accommodate Didi Ki Saut track.
With Anjali's abortion promo TRP fell to 2.9.
The character of Khushi was butchered to give Anjali more sympathy.
ArShi romance took a backseat because of Didi Ki Saut track.
Viewers were impatiently waiting from February to see the union of ArShi.
After the kidnap track their hopes raised.
But due to Daljeet's demand all went to drain.
Anjali's miscarriage track did the ultimate damage.
We lost a big portion of loyal viewers.
And still we have not recovered from that loss.
The television's hottest couple got married.
But TRP was only 3.A large number of viewers left the show due to Didi overdoes.

So for me Didi ruined the show.
Barun's absence was handled well.
But Daljeet's negotiation mark the downfall of the show.

From Actor's Movie:

As actor they have every right to look for better opportunities.
But still I will bash Daljeet more than Barun because of her interview.
The Rangmunch interview gave me a glimpse of her personality.

Nice topic, to be quite honest, both the actor and actress are at fault IMHO, but the biggest culprit is the PH.

They should never have granted the actor 45 days leave to do a movie at the expense of this show, I don't understand how star-plus agree with this decision by the PH.

The actor was not held responsible by most of his fans because there wasn't any press release trying to defend his absence nor did he go on television and defend himself, he simply gave a press release saying that anyone can play ASR, and that he is still very much there, hence calming his fans, and was shown in bits in the show.

Unlike the actress who I strongly believe, got the brunt of the backlash because, from the PH to the creative, to her castmates, tried to defend her role, and made it public knowledge that she has renegotiated her contract, she brought some of it on herself from her interview, telling fans to show support, so they felt that they had a hand in helping her stay in the role, thus it was explosive.

But fans of the drama, has to acknowledge and be fair, that this story ONLY started going downhill from the Kidnapping track, so one has to conclude that it is because the main star of the star-crossed love story was not present for 45 days that is the reasons why the TRP and show has plummeted in the past months.

I have never in the history of television heard of a PH like this one giving leave to the hero unless that leave is for health reasons.

So in closing yes, I am playing the blame game and stating that it is more towards the Hero's absence than the DKS track, the actress is not so popular whereas the actor is more popular with a huge fan following.

I wish him luck in his future endeavors and hopes he makes it in Bollywood.

The current state of affairs have to be blamed on the actors. Both the actors wanted to achieve higher, one could have had directly dealt with the PH instead of doing an blackmail. PH is equally to blame for falling down on their promises. DB's case was a PH failure.

While BS, wanted to progress with his career goal, of becoming an Movie Star, which he always thrived for. If I was in his shoes, I would have given importance to my current role - being Arnav & I could have tried my hand at acting after the show. Popularity is not going to drop just because the show is over, in fact the popularity might have reached higher peak.

CV's should have handled the situation better especially during BS's absence, they could have given more importance to other characters & probably sketched them even better too. Even though, TRP's didn't fall a lot during this phase as compared to DKS track.

If at all, DB wanted a better importance to her character, its again CV's who failed to come up with a better creativity rather than choosing the DKS track or at least fast forwarded most of the bits. It was annoying to watch the DKS track, no wonder many stopped watching the show during this phase.

The only sufferers because of these 2 actors personal goals is "US" the viewers, the fans who devoted 30 precious minutes to the show & 60 minutes on every ME. Both of them have taken the viewers for granted.

Its no use to rant on this topic, as we are not going to reach any proper conclusion, the only thing we will have is - bashing from both sides. Arhi fans will turn into Arnav v KKGSR.

I am glad today someone brought this topic in front and I am able to give my opinion on this.And like your post that how nicely without any harsh comment you have put down your thoughts.

Both the issues-its poor management from PH.Actors have a right to choose and progress in their career and that is what both Barun and Daljeet did-no problems with that.PH could have handled the issue better.No point in really blaming/bashing the actors.
