Here's a story line that would be interesting (well, at least for me and the reason I watch soaps!). Sheetal and Arnav date in college and while Sheetal is all in, Arnav doesn't feel the chemistry and so, he breaks up with her, telling her that maybe they are better off just being friends. Sheetal does not want to lose Arnav completely and so, she agrees hoping that she can convince Arnav over a period of time that they should be together.
Circumstances change and Arnav returns to India after graduating and sets up his company. He's moved on but she hasn't. She then starts planning on how to get back with Arnav. She remembers Arnav telling her about his cousin Dhruv. Dhruv and Arnav have always had a contentious relationship because Dhruv has always felt that Arnav was given preferential treatment by his grandmother and mother. Arnav on the other hand has his own issues with Dhruv (not sure what they are). Sheetal plans on using Dhruv to make Arnav jealous and so, she gets close to Dhruv.
Dhruv genuinely falls in love in Sheetal whereas Sheetal is just using him. In the mean time, Arnav moves on to Lavanya and a heartbroken Sheetal marries Dhruv but is not able to get over Arnav. She stills keeps pics of Arnav (the ones that Khushi found) and nurses hopes of being with him one day. Dhruv finds these pics and is devastated and angry and leaves. Sheetal finds out she's pregnant with Aarav (Dhruv's child). Dhruv does not know about Aarav and neither does anybody else at RM.
Sheetal bides her time and returns to India hoping to reunite with Arnav and convince the family that Aarav is Arnav's kid and then she finds out about Khushi. She starts manipulating Khushi by sowing seeds of doubt in her mind about Aarav's paternity (which might explain why Arnav is confident that he is not the father).
Khushi is now convinced after the KC fast and Sheetal confirming her worst fears and she leaves. Arnav is angry and hurt that Khushi did not trust him. He confides in Akash and NK who vow to help him clear his name as they believe that he is not the father again.
It might make for an interesting script, if they now show the brothers bonding and helping each other out. We can see some funny scenes between NK and Sheetal, where he is flirting with her just to distract her. We can also involve the ladies of the house who do their own snooping to find out Sheetal's truth.
