With respect to the hypocrisy I agree there were occasions when she contradicted herself... she talked about wearing dresses which cover up all yet her dress on sangeet was a little too much for her taste... She was not aware that saat phere was very important to complete the wedding though she was hired at some point to teach values and rasams to La... And ofcourse the SR before wedding was a shocker from Khushi who had denied SR the first time citing their marriage is incomplete...
Her actions are all driven by good selfless intentions which makes it an overdose of goodness from a human... Her incessant lying has always irritated me to no bounds...she interferes too much in other's life ... be it ASR - La relationship , Shyam and RM equation , Payal - Akash relationship etc etc... and I honestly dislike her messing up things and later crying her heart out and uttering dialogues like 'Di hamara vishwas kijiye' , 'Arnavji hamara woh matlab nahin tha' etc etc ...
Khushi is an undercooked character who started off on a right track but ended up being neither a spunky woman with substance nor a SP bahu... I can't relate to her logically be it her extreme over goody intentions and actions or her inconsistent behaviour ... She is tagged a child woman!! ...I honestly sympathize with ASR , he is burdened with a child woman - Khushi and a woman child - Anjali! ...

I completely agree with your analysis, she has always been too OTT for me, it's probably why I have only ever related to ASR and not to her, the CVs should have done a better job showing her growth as a character/person. I cringe when I see her embarrassing behavior and I skipped over the entire office scene on Friday as it was just too much to digest.

Hi5 RC.

The number one rule to make any SP serial work is 'The Heroine is Always Right'. Yes, fair enough Khushi has a point 70% of the time...She may be eccentric, pagal and at points makes you scratch your head and wonder just what the heck she be smoking? But that concept worked initially. Khushi the simpleton absolutely bursting with creativity and ideas galore was endearing and somewhat relatable- Who doesn't just randomly burst out dancing or have a little boogie with their sister to cheer them up? Who doesn't put up with annoying shit people give but then speak up and defend her pretty little ass when they begin to take the piss?

Khushi did all that and more, but the thing that killed that was her whole Mother Thereasa cum Sita cum Tulsi/Gopi Bahu outlook on life. Her being all pure and wholesome was meh...it's a standard in SP world and I have no idea why...Being a martyr and the damsel in distress is considered as a TRP raiser I suppose, which is fine if Khushi was Gopi Bahu. Sad fact is she was once upon a time a kick ass sweetheart and now she's just been reduced to a caricature of her former self.

To be honest, the so called vamps are shown as independent ladies who have clear aims and motivations in life, and don't take bullshit from anyone. Minus the bad make up, heavy sari's and the obsession of Bahu Bullying, I think I relate to them more.

Honestly I fell in love with IPK only and only because of ASR.

I could never relate to Khushi but maybe because I don't have tolerance for adults who act like kids.

I did enjoy some of her comic scenes like when she was pacifying Payal but her changing the ringtone when ASR was in a meeting those antics were not just my cup of tea.

I actually loved her during the kidnapping track where she was shown to be smart, intelligent and cunning pretending to like shyam. I loved her during that but when she gave into AR's blackmailing I lost all respect for her. What was the need to give in to his threats? Although many argue that she did it so as not to hurt her parents I felt she was weak giving into his blackmailing.

Although many people in this forum think and argue that she is sacrificing, always thinking of others and always forgiving i think it's humanly impossible for anyone to be that good. Khushi never stands up for herself who always takes a decision and never sees it through.

Anyways before khushi supporters pounce on me I blame the writers. This story is entirely from ASR's POV. And it's a pity that Khushi's character was not given any depth. Heck we did not even see her doing a barsi for her parents whom she loves so much.

And before anyone call me an ASR phangurl he was dead to me a long time ago.

Khushi has taken a back seat, yes. And that ruined things, yes.

But i've always felt there were discripencies in Khuhsi's character. Not just now.

I never had issues with the character before may-june..she was well written but the story revolves around ASR so they have to weaken the female lead...

The TRP shows the downward graph since than and only a fierce Khushi raked in the TRP...
I am waiting for this week TRP eagerly...after that no TRP 😭

she had sex to prove to him that she trusts him...now that would be a teen girls pressure and teen boys pleasure...
if it is from wht i said...i meant it as the cv's way of having a emotionally heart string pulling type FB to flash..(see they repeated just that clip a thousand times)...
life is such that many a times with new knowledge one modifies their old convictions...and that is what i saw in khushi that night in the dialogue...
as far as i see it...i think the whole farmhouse thing was sweet...and kudos for the less contrived...and yet he did have a whit lambs wool thingie on the floor with a projector loading the sky and stars...
all this on stag nite makes one think...
coming to what they r showing right now...i dont get it...its a luv story...they have after many trials finally found each other...or have they????

Khushi least of all
This track and Now I dreadind another kid track just shows Khushi is out of sync with ASR
instead of kid they should have got another woman

I agree with you, I would have liked another female instead of another Bubbly 2.0

To me it just seemed like ASR set up the whole thing so that he could have sex with her and some how that doesn't sit well with me.

And what came later, is what made me go back to it and question it.

Exactly what you said in bold makes me question it. They are newly wedded and she just had sex her very handsome husband and yet they show her a clueless virgin? And him even more so.

remember when nani did the oh la la dance to manofy khushi because she was upset she was lied to? all that went to hell and then CVs made khushi lie to everyone. although her intentions were good and she didnt ever lie for self-gain unlike many others on the show.

who said she is perfect? no human is perfect.

i have to say it is one thing to logically dissect her character - and i respect your views because you are fair to both khushi and ASR. but it irks me when khushi haters have a field day with posts like this.

Let them at me. I'll eat them alive.

i love you for this. BAS! 🤗

Yes her extreme goodness, makes me slightly apprehensive.

As for your last bit, 😆 Entirely true. I did relate to La a fair bit than i did to Khuhsi.
