Khushi is definitely an under-developed character. They have never shown any personal growth for her. She never learns from her mistakes but keeps making them (i.e. trusting the same idiot again and again, trying to 'help' everyone). She is un-relatable in the sense that i have never found someone so self-less and self-sacrificing as she is. Compared to her, I am a son of shyam i think because I lash out like anything when someone steps on my toes deliberately and frequently. She kind of reminded me of my childhood fascination with Nancy Drew. I was irresistibly drawn to her stories even though she was a 'goody good two shoes'.While I dont relate to her ideals and convictions (most recently that indian films are better) i do respect her for believing in and having a viewpoint. most girls these days just ape what is around them and follow the herd. in that sense, i am a khushi supporter because she has bigger balls than all the teenage girls. And while i find it hard to relate to her goodness as its so rare these days, i honor her for it because as unrealistic as it is, it is better and more admirable than the hypocrisy and selfishness every other character is mired knee-deep in (think Di). Besides, since when were indian shows real? Who goes to a movie the day after they find out their son-in-law was a cheat and a would-be-murderer?Lastly as for the sex before marriage, i think the CVs faraked that up on purpose - i was astounded that khushi would do it (although i was rooting for it 😉). But they have never confirmed or denied it either way, have they? All things point to it being sex but they have left it up in the air for us to get confused over. If she did it, then its the biggest f**k up ever. Literally. The whole remarriage was shot to hell actually - she kept wearing sindoor and her mangulsutra all through out. Was she or wasnt she married? How imp are pheras really? I dont get it.The khushi pre-marriage was innocent and she goofed up. The khushi post-marriage is often OTT and crass (she is just like mami at times who before the marriage was clearly differentiated to being someone hailing from a low societal background). Let me clarify - yes they both have hearts of gold (mami a lot less frequently). But the CVs have really butchered khushi cuz they couldnt come up with a better idea to till the 6 mth marriage contract period.

Completely agree.
I had a cow about it - when the TM kernal (who some said was Gul in disguise) - declared it was just love-making - it wasn't sex.
But what the hell - she couldn't wait 1 more day ?
Or at least they could have given us a real SR to disprove that it wasn't pre-marital sex, where they completely assassinated their own female lead's character 😡😡😡 and also that of the male lead, who knew fully well what Khushi's values were, but decided to go ahead and do it, just because Khushi got weak 😡.

Hiya Rocker guess I did ask for this...
and while i agree the whole madonna complex mixed with the righteous ideal indian woman...the child like innocience and the fearless durga are all that makes up masal kushi and a contradiction...the fact that she made luv to him in the moment (which i am kinda not sure about)...because she trusted him , luved him made it all sweet and that whole proverbial SR did not come on the night and look all contrived was a bit relieving...that someone dispite there strong convictions was able to see past them ...and thru the eyes of her husband was also touching...now for the rest later...i reswa

Being a married woman with an extended family, and living in the US, and having seen so many other Indian families, I will say that :
Indian men living with their families want their wives to be independent yet innocent, demure yet strong. So Khushi and Anjali are what many Indian men want in their wives.
Its all a matter of perspective.
@ bold am i missing the point...erm love making is sex when love is a big part of it and not just the physical is my understanding...Originally posted by: aditi_arshi
thAT was not luv making scene from any angle..ASR removed jwelleries..they were on bed..they kissed..he kissed her everywhere.she kissed him everywhere..that was sex..n one more thing..Khushi's dresses!!she is d one who untied her hair whn ASR tore off her blouse pearl string..n thn she is d one who wore BACKLESS blouse on Mehandi.CVs shud think on that...if they have shown KKG sticking to moral n cultural values..than let her stick to dat

Muhaaa yes you did. 😈Yes it was touching. And RC only saw it on repeat like a few million times,But it defeated the purpose of the marriage did it not? She preached that the pheres=sex. So basically every episode leading to marriage is baseless because of that.
