And as to your question at the end? How can he pay her debt?
My answer: By leaving her alone. Letting her go live her life. OR
If he still wants to live with her, he needs to respect her, trust her, defend her honor, protect her from harm, try to make all her wishes come true, try to keep her happy (at least stop insulting her and treating her like a doormat!) or at least try to be a good husband by loving her. If he can love her truly, that's all she would ever need!
After writing that I'm wondering, what could Arnav do that could actually make me proud of him? Hmm...
Let's see.
1) Hire an investigator to find proof against Shyam and please put him in jail
2) Give Garima a chance to explain what actually happened, without glaring at her, but trying to talk to her, like a son would to a mother. He owes that to her, after the way they loved him when he was staying with them.
3) Beg Khushi to forgive him for being late to the wedding and tell her he believes her and he doesn't care whether Garima was the other woman. Of course it will take time to accept it, that her mother was responsible for his mother's suicide (and of course it was his Dad's fault too), but its not Khushi's fault. He loves her and cannot live without her.
4) Yell at Mami or anyone who says that the Gupta parivaar has caused them pain. Remind them that the Gupta parivaar forgot their sorrow to save Anjali's marriage. Remind them that Khushi risked her life to save his life.
Remind them that Khushi cared enough about Anjali that she went and brought back the man who harassed her.
Remind them that Khushi kept her mouth shut so that no one would hate Arnav for forcing her to marry him.
Tell them of how he tortured Khushi from the day he met her, and yet, she always did everything she could to make sure he and his family were happy.
5) Order Mohan to drop Dadi back at the ashram and make sure she never leaves the ashram ever again.
6) Tell Anjali to grow up. Get a job and stop being dependent on him. Stop treating him like a child and expecting him to be there at her every beck and call. He has a life and a wife!
There you go, Mr. Raizada. You love her, this is what you have to do.
