I think it can one of two effects:

1)Di can come and hurt herself on the glass pieces.So she will totally be unable to move around.So till now,ppl were only getting juice and dawai for her(which she always forgets to eat).Now someone will have to get her breakfast,lunch,tea and dinner while she sits glued to one place😆.The members of the Raizada household give up on her in disgust and get Shyam saying "Apni rotlu biwi ko khud sambhalo aur uski nurse aur agony aunt tumhi bano.Humse nahi hoga".

Thus Shyam gets into the house .What a plan 👏

2) the omnipresent HP hurts himself on the glasses.HP is the all in one Man Friday of the house,the only person who works .Everyone else only talks and plots in the house.If the indispensable HP gets hurt,wedding and all functions will get cancelled(who will do the work?).

Again Shyam's objective of cancelling the wedding is fulfilled.

So u see,Dhaiya Ho is actually thinking very cleverly 😉
