Dadi and Khushi

- their meeting started with Khushi dumping muddy water on her. Seeing as much as we have seen of dadi, we can assume that must have really angered the old lady and thus the 'seemingly first' seed of dislike was sown in her heart against Khushi.

- that dislike intensified when she found out no one told her she is the bahu of the house (remember that look she gave to manorama) and she refused to accept khushi out of pride/prejudice/hate?

Now if Shyam had told Dadi all about khushi: why didnt Dadi recognize her right away?? Is it possible that she just has a really bad impression of Khushi and first impressions are lasting ones, so she is now just hating Khushi out of some misplaced sense of ego and pride?

There are many instances when it looks like Shyam and Dadi are in cahoots...but for some reason, I am beginning to feel that Dadi is just hating Khushi because of the above two reasons and perhaps a bit more because of her pride and ego and ASR's blatant love for Khushi in face of Dadi's hate. It is possible that Shyam has indirectly sent her some misleading information on anjali's wedding being broken up because ASR and his wife...

Dadi and Garima:

- Dadi has been neutral/kind to payal.

Neutral: when she asked Payal to ensure all the celebrations are done perfectly in the previous episodes.

Kind: was that a hint of a smile we saw on her face when Payal strode forward today to give shagun to Khushi? Was that a hint of annoyance at Mami for calling Payal's home a refuge camp?

- now if Dadi was to hate khushi because she is garima's daughter, wouldn't by that token she would hate Payal...we can see she clearly hasn't been rude/caustic to her.

Refuge camp:

other than the obvious batameezi of mami (which was again unchecked by her son! grr Akaash! wake up!...look at NK atleast reacting to this by staring first at payal and then at Akaash) i am just going to go out on a limb and wonder if Garima provided refuge for the other woman in ASR's dad's life??

I believe Dood's analysis saying khushi's parents death served as the catalyst for the truth to come out. Which means that khushi's mom had nothing to do with ASR's dad. And garima doesnt look like the kind of person who would go around seducing married men...besides Doods suggested that ASR's dad was involved with Shyam's sister!!

Perhaps Garima and Shyam's sister were both friends, being of the same social background...Garima is scared senseless about Dadi..so she must have defied her in the past. The only way I think she could have would be to go against her wishes or to stand up to her (perhaps by helpin the 'other woman (Shyam's sis??)' who Dadi seems to detest heartily.).

Small aside:

The biologist in me wont let me let this pass: there is no nerve/vein that connects the ring finger to the heart. That is complete Balderdash!!. Utterly romantic, yes oh yes, but not based in fact. Just saying because if someone gave me a penny every time this was said in bollywood or brown soaps, I would be a millionnaire by now.

Doods - Jitni bhi tareef karon, kam hi hogi. Simply outstounding. You have such a gift in decoding!! A lot of us have spent the past few days wracking our brains to think of the possible connection between Garima & Dadi, glad you cleared that up for us. Just one question...you said Shyam saved Khushi's dignity that day because he went through the same thing with his sister. But when did it change for him? Why did he decide to live with the Gupta's and try to marry Khushi? Khushi rejected him much much later than all this...

Divya - Nice little post...but after reading I'm even more nervous about this big truth coming to light 😳

Koel - Great post. Your part about dadi was spot on. She is stubborn and she will use everyone's feelings, especially Arnav's as a weapon in her dirty dirty game. We have a new villain in town 😡

Jhalak - Short & Sweet & Beautiful. Him 'defying' dadi and coming there was such an ASR thing to do and that's why we loved it, and even though Khushi was slightly annoyed at him, her happiness and love for him overpowered everything else today. Great Post 👍🏼

Sheila - Nice to finally talk to you 😃 Great post, especially the part about rituals changing in the 21st century. As traditional as I can be at times, you have to learn to adapt with the times...and that's exactly what Dadi is failing to do. She's still living in the past. Also nice point about the rules not changing but the rule keeper. Look forward to reading more of your work.

Bushy - was expecting another laughter riot from the start but you clean bowled me with your 'story narrater' part. Thanks for recounting all the wedding rasams that they have already been through and great link in your post to Arshi's kahaani. Nazifa - As much as I love your normal lengthy posts, this brief one was a gem. The murky past is indeed coming and Garima needs to face the music. Aashi - I'm totally in cahoots with you about Dadi. I don't think she has a master plan with Shyaam but if she does I'll happily eat my words. And I've noticed her indifference towards Payal too, surely if she dislikes Khushi so much then she'd treat Payal similarly, but maybe it's because Payal's not her bahu...Oh I really thought the nerve thing was true 😒

It is true that is used just in romantic sense... but then this is romance we are watching ... we have ignored much more logical stuff this is merely a speck 😆

Garima, I guess is exposed/seen the worst of Dadi and it is possible that she neither has the will nor means to fight her due to her past experience. so she is doing what she could to avoid the turmoil that her daughters can face if the truth is revealed. Also the way she is acting... no one knows in the family... neither her husband nor Buaji.

They say the eye of the storm is the most dangerous and the havoc it creates is unsurmountable... with these 2 in the center... I hope they have each other to brace when the destruction starts...

NK is like a wave of fresh air... put him in any scene and it is easy to watch on eyes!😆

Dadi seems pretty confident that the Garima from the past is Khushi's mom Garima. How?

I had an odd feeling that dadi has agreed to go ahead with all the rasam's but deep down she is confident that the wedding will not take place.

She is confident about the past blowing up.

Humko aisa lagat hai jaise koi exam fail huyi gawa hai aur dobara exam de raha hai

Is history repeating itself?

Dadi is having a hard time digesting the fact that Arnav is rebelling out because of his love for a woman.

From a man who laughed at the idea of love, Arnav has now become the man who can't imagine spending a minute without Khushi.

Is Arnav more alike to his dad than he realizes or acknowledges?

Anjali has promised dadi she will make sure Arnav and Khushi doesn't meet after haldi. If Anjali makes Arnav promise, he will never go against it.

Will dadi use it in her advantage?

Garima is trying to run away from the situation instead of facing it.

Did she do something similar in the past?

Dadi comes across as a manipulative lady. She has not developed that skill overnight.

Did she use this skill of hers in the past?

Earlier dadi stressed on the fact that Arnav is taking a wrong decision, a wrong judgement (possibly indicating his stance about his father), Dadi does not blame her son for what happened in the past or even for the suicides.

How and why is she so confident? Was he really not at fault?

If spoilers are to be believed, the wedding is confirmed and SP has also supposedly approved the budget.

When will the promos come on air? 😕

TRPs take some time to pick up. Shouldn't the channel at least start promoting the rasams to generate interest among the viewers?

If the channel has approved the budget, please make good use of it and give new clothes to the actors at least for the rasams.

The use of BDs have increased and that's understandable because there is so much going on at the moment. But during the rasams and the actual wedding we would like to see Arhi scenes without BD's. 😳 It's a request. 😊

(b) sow (as in what you sow you shall reap) [N.K. said to the aunt]
