I have been thinking about Dadi all day long! Lots of thoughts came to my mind.
- Should I walk in with my AK-47 and beat her up, like I did Shyam and then of course let you all beat her up too!
- Should I put her in a cardboard box and ship her to a mental asylum
- Should I just get her married off to Shyam..
and then it struck me. Maybe there is a better way.. maybe we can tame her, if we find out why exactly she always has that puffed-up look.. why is she always angry?

"Why? Now what is wrong, Dadi? Why can't we go with the shagun?" Arnav asked Dadi, frustrated.
"Chotte, relax!" Nani said. Arnav replied, "Nani, I will relax if Dadi will relax."
"Dadi, I don't care what your complaint is this time. Tomorrow, everyone is going to Khushi's house with the shagun and that's it!"
Before Dadi could say anything, Arnav turned around and walked away. He walked to his room, his face fuming with anger. He stepped inside the room; suddenly he stopped and moved back.
On the floor, next to his foot, lay a rose petal. He got down on his toes and picked it up. He closed his eyes, his face contorted with worry. Suddenly he opened his eyes wide. He stood up and picked up his phone. "Aman, I want you to do something and quick."
Morning.
Knock, knock. Dadi opened the door and saw Arnav standing outside.
"Arnav? What are you doing here so early in the morning?"
Arnav looked inside the room; Nani was nowhere to be seen.
"If you are looking for your Nani, she and Anjali are downstairs, preparing the shagun." Dadi turned around to walk away, when Arnav touched her shoulder. Dadi turned around, looking surprised.
"Dadi", Arnav said softly. "I understand."
Dadi looked at him, her eyebrows raised. "Arnav, what.."
"Dadi, I want you to meet someone." Arnav stepped aside. Dadi stepped out of the room and her eyes shot wide open; a smile appeared on her face.
Anjali and Nani smiled as they saw Arnav run down the stairs. "Shall we leave, Di?" Arnav asked, a wide grin on his face.
"Someone is in a hurry today." Anjali said, a playful smile on her face.
"Where is Sumi?" Nani asked. "She was going to come with us right?"
Arnav smiled. "I don't think she will be joining us today."
Nani looked surprised, "What do you mean, Chotte?"
Arnav started to say something. "Arnav!" Dadi's voice interrupted Arnav.
Arnav looked up and saw Dadi on the other side of the living room. Arnav raised his eyebrows and started to say something.
"I need to talk to you." she said. Arnav nodded and walked to her.
As Arnav approached, Dadi smiled. "I wanted to thank you".
Arnav smiled, "Dadi, don't. Like I said, I understand".
"Arnav, I am sorry. But what you did for me, I don't know how I will ever repay you. Look, I just want you to be happy. I will not say a word against this marriage from now on". Dadi smiled and started to leave, but then stopped and looked at Arnav.
The smile on her face had disappeared. "I will still act tough, I have an image to maintain, right. But I promise, no more insulting your wife. I will accept her as my daughter-in-law. Also tell Garima, that her secret will remain safe with me." Arnav raised his eyebrows. Dadi turned to walk away.
"Dadi, where is he?" Arnav asked and Dadi stopped and looked at him.
"Sleeping. We are not as young as you. We get tired easily." Dadi smiled, turned around and walked away.
Flashback. The rose petal. Suddenly it struck Arnav. He smiled. Sexual frustration! Dadi wasn't getting any, in fact she had been alone as long as Arnav could remember. No wonder she was so angry all the time. The frustration builds up, Arnav of all people knew what it was like!!! Aman had helped Arnav find Dadi's long lost love, her boyfriend from before she married Arnav's grandfather. Arnav had arranged for him to be flown to Delhi that morning.
Arnav smiled, Dadi looked so happy now! There was a naughty smirk on his face, soon I will be too. The countdown begins!
