It's very funny to see some aggressive defenses of Barun despite the TM's sincere effort to make her stance very clear. I honestly don't feel that you need to explain yourself when you opt for constructive criticism. I understand that there's always a fanatic tendency toward popular actors amongst their fan-following, but I care the least about such fans.

Now about the topic, I have already expressed my agreement in a similar thread and I reiterate it in this thread. Neither Barun is SRK nor Sanaya is Kajol in romantic scenes. So I never bother to open threads that repeatedly compare Barun to SRK for his romance and Aamir Khan for his acting. In my view, such opinions are truly overexaggerations.

Comparing Sanaya and Barun, I must acknowledge that Sanaya is way more relaxed in doing intimate scenes (I bet some hopeless members might interpret this as Sanaya having a secret crush on Barun and Barun being loyal to his wife). Given Sanaya's repeated acknowledgements that she's glad for being able to create the most magical on-screen pair with Barun, it seems that she takes it as her golden opportunity to excel in the acting industry. Perhaps she wants to leave her mark with IPK. I really can't think of a reason for Barun's detached behavior that is so obvious in intimate scenes because I saw a scene of his previous show in which he gets very cozy with his on-screen wife. You can't be wrong in spotting this drawback because it's not just you and me who felt it. Anyhow, I hope Barun takes IPK as his learning ground and improves especially if he aspires to become part of the film industry. As you've rightly pointed out, it's part of his profession. Everyone knows exactly what acting entails and if someone like me has serious reservations with its demands, then you better don't step your foot in the field.

As for his oily looks, I did not notice it until you pointed it out. But that's really not a major problem because it's upto his stylist and he's sure to get better ones in movies.

i think sanaya rocks in the hugs ... most natural ... genuine hugs ... but barun rocks in the romance/ sexual tension scenes ... infact in those scenes i always find sanaya's expressions weird ... whenever they try to kiss - she has such a pained expression on her face as if she is forced against her will to do it ... barun just walks away with those scenes ... but in the hugs department, no one can beat sanaya ... she just jumps into them :)

Array are you serious...what exactly was so awkward or wrong about the his arm on the bed scene.

You have to remember Barun had to shoulder most of the weight in the fall therefore had to hold onto Sanaya in such a way that her weight was supported by him. And then once the fall happened they had to position themselves in a way that both were visible camera angle wise for the OS and Two Way shot.

He had his arm draped around her waist...is that not intimate enough, or perhaps he should have moved it a couple of inches higher to her chest...either way that would have blocked Sanaya's camera angle.

His other arm was draped above her to the left again not to block the camera angle yet he still held it there in a natural way. Have a look at the photos from off screen and on screen and you can see they are both laying on the bed comfortably.

I've studied Film and TV so am aware of camera angles and positioning which is why i'm getting slightly technical.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinions and without sounding biased or favoring the actors I really think perhaps some people are paying a little too much attention at trying to nit pick every little minor detail.

Oh Christ!! I am SO glad someone else noticed it too! Yes, off late his hugs and touch have become too mechanical to the point that it looks SO evident that he is acting. The sizzle has gone down but I guess it's not about him being married or anything. His last show had some really intimate scenes minus the sizzle though, but he can really do them. (fine he was not married then but surely very much committed.)

It's my opinion which can be wrong but I think it's to do with his bonding with Sanaya. I don't know why I feel that they are scared of their sizzling chemistry. No matter how much committed they are to their respective partners, no body is a saint!! I am not maligning them but just stating a fact. MAY BE they don't want to ruin their friendship which can get into trouble given their on screen chemistry. So they both are just being defensive. I know they are professionals but after a point an acting role isn't worth messing their personal lives. I could be wrong too but this is what I feel. And I believe the change in directorial team (Lalit Mohan being off) also matters. Directors really bring out the best of actors.

I hope they really get the sizzle back because IPK is ALL about intensity of emotions of all kinds.

I agree with your each and every point... If he is so uncomfortable in doing subtle romantic scenes with his costar on TELEVISION, I doubt what would he be able to do in Bollywood where he won't get spared and can't get away avoiding nasty scenes..

I dont find any discomfort or gap or anything else in their hugs or touches..

yesterday I also saw a post.. didnt understand..
They r really comfortable with each other specially touching hugging what will b the problem..

about haircut and weight.. I never had any complaints actually! lol...

These days he is even putting on some weight specially last couple of episodes I observed his broad shoulder which I liked more..

Anyways.. @your posts' good points list I agreed to all of it..

well i will not comment on Barun's acting per-say... and haven't read all the replies for the original post... but i feel the direction and editing really needs a lot of improvement...

you can actually make out from the scene which scene is directed by Arshad and which by his assistants... editing is also a major drawback for quite some time... so i guess we can't only blame the actor alone...

as for Haircut and wardrobe is concerns no two ways about it... both Arnav & Khushi need it very badly😔
