So when Arnav realized why his wife left him as the contract expiry is round the corner, he decides to woo her back, to make her realize a 6 month contract can't end their relationship, they are in this for the long haul. But in HIS style, in her style'in their style. He knows what makes her tick and sets out for win in the path which he knows will lead her right back into his arms , this time for good.
His shatir dimag had calculated and closed all the channels of help she'd go for and made her come to him. He pleads with her :help me help you (thank you Jerry Maguire!). That's what he wants, her acknowledgement that he matters, she needs him as much as he needs her. Tum mang sakte ho..wife ho meri..haq banta tumhara . But she in still in her ego trip which is as big as his, as he rightfully points out. She declares she'd rather work for him than take his help. He latches onto her wish. ASR gets her right where he wanted. Boy is the man sure that he'll break her resolve in 24 hrs...ASR confidence oozing! And the satisfaction when she doesn't take those retreating steps like before. His feisty his "pagal" wife is back!
What follows is atypical husband and wife but signature Arnav-Khushi nok-jhok. He makes her do silly stuff while he sits and watches with a smile. A smile which used to be a rarity in ASR but now comes so easily around her. Till she twists her ankle. Then the concerned husband takes over. Their little payal conversation , a Diwali 360 . And can he get any sweeter as a husband? offering to help her do her chores and when she decides to ignore his request, he does what he loves to do: picks her up and carries her to get the clothes from clothesline.
Barun continues with his flawless acting. His voice modulations and dialog projection was one of his best. Facial expressions right down to the perfect timing of left brow lift, the smirks, indulgent smile while watching Khushi describe the 'the downfall of AR stocks", the no-nonsense loving husband taking over his stubborn wife after she twists her ankle: a picture of perfection every frame. And you can tell that he and Sanaya were having a blast with the TV scene. Sanaya's forte is her comedic timing and she was bang on in those scenes.
Other tid bits:
- Loved Amma's dig at 'pagal premi' damad! So cute and as usual the guy doesn't show any awkwardness.
- Anjali's loneliness was so visible. A moment that you share usually with your husband or near one, she was on her own. Then who is she talking or meeting with. Also when it comes in the open Buaji was not sick, will that cause more sibling MU?
- Direction was fantastic...love the side profile angle of both during the "ego" scene! Dialog writers had a heyday yesterday. The TV scene and the office scene were one of their comical best ...some dialogs were aimed right at the fandom craziness😉
- BD issues'especially Barun's 'well then again how do you find another guy to replace Mr Perfect Everything?
An episode which makes you sigh in happiness during the 20 mins and long after. Makes you want to be in love and be loved like Arnav-Khushi.
