My! That scene from Arth rocks! Now there is a woman of substance. I admired her even more when she rejected Raj Kiran's offer of marriage. Why do we need to have a man in our life all the time? Are we not capable enough, strong enough to live a life on our own? Can't we live our life on our own terms? Why should a woman always be at the mercy of a man?

This man angers me to the max. I wanna slap him so hard and then make Khushi kick him! Yes ASR is HOT and of course we love it. First when he hated her and tortured her it was understandable because we thought we'll get him redeeming, regretting and it was to build up the plot. But now that he "loves" her, his actions are not understandable at all! Some "phangirls" on IF are so blinded by ASR's "love" and hotness that if he asks them to jump off the cliff, they will do it because BS/ASR asked 'em to do it. People who don't like his actions are "bashers." They think we don't love BS/ASR. Yes we do but we are not blinded by his love.

well said kirann, i fully second that. some of the people are obsessed and blind towards arnav, that they dont want to hear a genuine comment or suggestion towards improvement which is logical, they feel so offended and get defensive immediately.

exactly SJ, people think ASR is a saint and Khushi is the mean, in one of the episodes when Khushi threw hot tea on his chest thinking that he is holding her dupatta, OMG, you must see how all the girls went to the side of arnav, his chest got burned what about ASR when he threw our delicate doll from his office window, and went to the extent of almost killing her by sending her to that dilapidated guest house, his rescuing her later does not justify his act of sending her there at the first place. Everything is one sided conveniently towards ASR.

It's sad but yes even I agree with the TM on Nannav's wooing methods and consequences. ASR is surely back and like he, himself mentioned nothing can change him. He hates somebody in ASR way and loves somebody in ASR way. I don't have anything against his attitude and persona

BUT I really miss his redemption. How long will he go like this until he repents everything? He said sorry last Friday and thank god for that. But he has thousand apologies pending in order to make Khushi realize how sorry he is for ruining her life

Yes, I'm still waiting for a redemption track...

Mine too Vibha! I loved the music of the movie too. I fell in love with the music first. I love the picturisation of " Koi Yeh Kaise Bataye". The expressions are just perfect. You can actually feel the pain, the angst in her. Another issue I have with the portrayal of the other woman. Why does she need to be a psycho, in need of medical attention? Why? Be it Arth or Ijazzat. Why do we demean them like this? I also have a problem with the word "Feminist". I mean if you stnd up for what is right, speak up for women, you are a feminist. I don't like how it had been reduced to mean something derogatory. I mean if you stand up for what is morallly, ethically right, you are a humanist first. Of course I enjoy chivalry in men. I enjoy the door being held open by my man and all that jazz but I respect my space. I dont want to be smothered with mollycoddling either.

very good thought. yes we are humanist before we are known by our genders. what is right for a man should be right for a woman and if something is wrong for a woman should apply to men also, in fact your post reminded me of Namrata Shirodkar in Astitiva when she gives a fitting reply to Tabu's husband and her son who is also happens to be namrata's fiance and she breaks the engagement with her. I dont know somehow, in our bollywood, there are very few movies like this who portray the women as an inspirational character, arth, astitiva, are among them.

I know i am in the minority here but the reason why ASR gets a chance to behave like this is coz of Kushi. And before u all pounce on me for being a fan girl who thinks ASR is god. NO. The reason y i get irked with Kushi is most of the times she runs around like a head less chicken with no proper plan in place. Remember the sweet shop she opened aft quitting AR. Also y does she always jump head first into all these situations. Is she the only daughter. What bt wet socks ANKLETWA. I ve never seen the laundry gal lift her finger to help her mayke. Its always been Kushi, Kushi, Kushi. I hate this attitude of Kushi where she thinks only she can solve all the probs in the world including the Middle east & Kashmir ethnic strife.

Why cant she sit with her family, discuss the situation & try to work out a solution. This headless chicken running around causes jerks like ASR to take advantage. Lesson # 1 Never show ur enemy ur weakness. Lesson # 2 Never reveal ur thoughts or plans.

When ll Kushi learn this lesson.

Now coming to ASR. Though what he did appears ruthless remember earlier he was the one who voluntarily bought groceries & now also paid the rent. It was Kushi who insulted him & hence he took the money. I dont think he did that 2 insult her. He did that so that she ll exercise her rights over him. Come & demand money frm him like a wife. He dint want her to beg. It was Kushi who insisted that she ll work & wont take it free. While i am not absolving ASR of his sins at the same time i feel sad that sometimes ppl in the forum tend to crucify him for all his actions.

I guess he has already said sorry 2 Kushi. In real life i dont think any hubby actually says the word SORRY. They only try 2 show it via their actions.

I just shared my views. No intention of offending anyone.

I see where you are coming from. I just wanna ask you if your hubby calls you "characterless", blames you for all the nasty things his BIL has done, talks about your dead parents, breaks your heart every time you try to trust him and shows you no respect, how would you react? Tell me would you really do a contract marriage for six months? I mean how? How can you ask for your "haq" in six months contract marriage when you know it is going to end in few days? Did he ever give her a chance to ask for her "haq"? If he really wants her to show her "haq" then why the hell doesn't he talk about other "haqs" she have? Why does he force her to things? Is this his so called "wooing"? HE wants to see her happy but doesn't let her do what she wants to. How can she be happy? He asks her to become a TV? he asks her to dance? Entertain him? I don't know which husband would do that? But seriously if my husband does that I would kick him in nuts and leave him. I am not married yet though.

Watch all the old episodes where he tortured "headless chicken" in one way or other and tell me you still think all this actions are justified and he does not need to say "SORRY" because he's her husband!

According to me, his rude words pierced her heart and only his words can heal her wounds. SO verbal "SORRY" is NEEDED! & we, viewers, want redemption track. We wanna see him suffering just like we saw "headless chicken" suffering!
